This Volume is just gonna be so sweet, will be awsome to have chapters like Sai; Leader of the Happo Navy and Cabbage & Romeo in one volume, it's a shame "For Russian with Love" won't be here but well, I'm really planning to riot on Viz to get it earlier.

also, is that picture of doffy added as a bonus? I'm not familiar with the japanese volumes, do they normally have a full page picture after the chapter titles? In Viz's volumes we only get the picture of luffy with the ONE PIECE scroll above him

You gotta check the right volumes. Usually it goes straight to the first chapter, UNLESS that first chapter has a colour spread, meaning it can't go adjacent to the contents. In that case they've got an empty page to fill, sometimes they put a close up of a panel with pandaman in it, there's been at least once case with a second shot of Luffy and another where Rayleigh is used. I don't see any reason Viz wouldn't keep the Doflamingo shot as well when they get this far.

Of course that very night of their "deaths" the family could have gathered around and had some sort of funeral but man on panel it's basically been nothing but an angry mention by Doflamingo.

Like Galaxy said, i meant a reaction from Sugar. Her sister supposedly just died for the sake of the man that saved both of them from an unhappy life, and not a single sign of concern or even some sort of reaction that would show a deep connection between the two(whether they like, hate, or are indifferent toward each other).
That's a little bullshit in my opinion. We didn't really need this kind of random connection. -

I've always taken these SBS little bits of info as extras that Oda gives us "for free". They enrich the main content, and specially the world and its mythos and give a lil extra to all those characters that'll never have the panel time to get said extras on the ongoing story.
I wouldn't look at this new info we just got and suddenly go back throughout the arc and say "bullshit, they never showed any sisterly love!". Take it as an additional piece of info. . . .
. . .Unless the future cover arc called The Adventures of Harpy Lady and the Almighty Metal Paramecia Man brought this back again by making, somehow, Monet rescue Sugar in some way and title that particular volume something akin to "long lost sisters, reunited!", or something. But that's the most I can see happening in the main story.

Some interesting tidbits and Oda being Oda. I actually like that we were given the exact time at which Sugar and Monet became part of the family, 13 years ago I guess immediately after Law's fallout from the crew.
For some reason, Oda saying Rosinante's name was random (when it obviously isn't) made me laugh.

Pretty good SBS and funny too.
Unless Sugar is some completely heartless little girl I would have liked some hint at their relationship. Usually we get things like this and it's clear where they are derived from or how they fit into the story. Even with out the blood relation I still think it's odd we didn't hear about how the rest of the family took Vergo's and Monet's supposed death. Now that we know the 2 girls are related it just makes that point that much more strange.
Of course we could very well learn later that they did have their mourning period and/or the family is just taught how to leave things like that out of heir thoughts.

How old is Corazon? Why wasnt Sugar there at the Donquixote family dinner party?
O: He's 2 years younger than Doflamingo, died at the age of 26. Monet(17) and Sugar(9) are sisters saved by Doflamingo from terrible environment. They joined the family after that incident, were later given the DFs, and had the resolve to give up their lives for the family. Doflamingo did pay great attention to the environment people were living in.Monet had a tragic past :ninja:
