Yeah, living in the bay area (california) i need to drive a little ways to get to the snow. I'm a lot better at skiing than snowboarding, but i picked it up for when i go with people who are a lot slower than i am… the problem is that the boards i picked up are really fast.

My collection's growth rate has been slowing since my taste shifted to artists who draw shorter series. And even the few longer series I still collect (Vagabond/Berserk/Zipang), I kind of wish I hadn't started buying them (as opposed to just reading scans), just because it's such a commitment in terms of money and space...

I have about 750 volumes last time when I counted, but I'm lazy to update my list as well. After I counted them last time, I went to Japan and also three BookOffs in SoCal, so maybe add 100 more…

Almost every big site that sells them offers to import it for almost no price [sometimes even free delivery]. Yesasia and others should be reliable enough.. I think. Ask Dinty or Local, there are tons of people who import often in the OP Collectabilities thread.
As of what I own.. OP 1-8, HxH 2-3, PoT 1-3, E21 1-3 and.. Hikago 1-3 5-6. Wanna to sell it all [already sold some]. I'm sick of American stuff =(

I know it's nit-picking, but I like to see the original art. Which is why I am going to buy the japanese tankos of my favorite series.(Ippo is too damn long tho. XP)

Tokyopop for the most part leaves everything the same(somtimes they will translate the characters outside of bubbles for attacks, sometimes they will leave the japanese and put subtitles on the bottom) which is why I buy getbackers from them.

I stopped buying YYH because I don't really like the manga as much as the anime. Stopped buying Death Note because I probably wouldn't read it again after reading the entire manga online and watching the entire anime. The other stuff I bought randomly. Wish there was somewhere I could sell the shit.
I may buy HxH when they release more of the Chimera Ant arc, though. I'll probably pick up the last volume of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 3 when they get to it. When Fairy Tail gets released in English I might start getting that, too. But yeah, overall, I don't really buy manga anymore. One of these manga companies need to license Hajime no Ippo, but I can see why it wouldn't sell.
