Edit: Man, the sequence with Pica forming the colossus was pretty good but then they squandered it with that troll ending.
I was a bit skeptical when it was announced that Pica would be voiced by a male, but man was that hilarious.
Well I just want to say that I really really liked this chapter 9/10

Ive recently caught up with the anime. Would you guys say that the quality of the anime has gotten better with this arc? The art and animation , while not perfect, has improved, at least to me.
Seriously, wow.
This rarely happens, Toei really impressed me with this episode.
The art was great (even in the scenes with less animation then others), the music was perfectly timed, and the animation was fluid and well done; especially with Pica at the end. They did everything right in making him seem huge, the right shots, the right perspective on his proportion to everything around him, and how the city moves and contorts with every step and punch he makes. And it works wonders.
Seriously, who was the team behind this episode? I'll be looking forward to their work from here on out (next week too if we're to trust the preview).

Aside from the unnecessary Luffy cliffhanger, that was a surprisingly good episode. Pica was hilarious, filler was unobtrusive, and the art was above average.
Every time I was concerned about something it was handled well. The shot of like seven dudes chasing Robin's group ticked me off but then we had Hack, Meo, and even Tank handling groups with ease. Fujitora's stuff was handled well and ambiguously to keep his actions consistent with the manga.
I think all I needed was a little vacation from the anime to appreciate it more. I thought the episode was pretty enjoyable.
The initial confrontation between Luffy and Fujitora was well animated. I wish it had lasted a bit more than that first minute, but the rest wasn't too bad. I thought they handled the Pica transformation and general destruction fairly well, too. Pretty nice stuff. Noice.
Probably my favorite episode in the last few years. The pacing, animation, voice acting, and music were all perfect. I couldn't find a single flaw anywhere really.
The got the voice spot on. It really is hilarious sounding.

Nah, these are yearly breaks for marathons on Fuji TV.
Watching this episode and the preview for the next one made me sad thinking about the fact that: Cabbage/Hakuba, Doffy and Barto won't probably re appear for a very long time. That said, the episode was really good, well above toei standards, and gave me some hope for when they will animate Pica's defeat.
Now when I will read Picas lines in Manga I will have that voice in my head.. That voice.. perfection.
Well, Pica just brought One Piece to an end, nothing more to see here folks.
Aside from adding some unnecessary bloat to what was already a serviceable cliffhanger this was a really tight episode, and the art director really earned their keep at the end there - did total justice to the scope of Pica's powers, and the little gags sprinkled throughout like the dwarves dropping Usopp to applaud or suddenly seeing Derringer skipping through the crowd of terrified, fleeing people were the cherry on top. I'm very glad Fukuzawa seems to be on board the show for a long haul.
At laughed at when Fujitora's face was flashed during the initial reaction shot montage. He looked like he was about to ask someone what was going on.

Yeah, Toei… Cliffhangers like that don't really work when they're immediately followed by a preview that blatantly shows that Luffy made it out just fine. Aside from that though, brilliant episode. Pica's voice was better than I could have ever imagined, and while Toei were clearly cutting corners when animating his giant form, the direction was more than good enough to make up for it.

I'm dying. Luffy gave the appropriate amount of laughter as well. I really didn't expect the voice to be that high and to find out the voice actor was male? Oh man…
Also I must have blanked but I didn't realize Pica's shoulder spikes were....part of his skin? How weird.

Pica's punch looked like someone was actually directing this show. Amazing!
Though I have one little complaint. Shida's scene was gorgeous as usual, but it also looked like a parody of his own work. Dunno if I'm clear. I had this feeling with Sabo's scene aswell. However I still want the anime to look like this all the time.

Definitely a superior episode overall. Direction in particular was top notch, both in art/animation and layout. What appears to be Shida's art direction gave the characters a more distinctive un-Oda like anime look, but when its handled this well then who cares? The comedy scenes in particular were very well handled than to the vibrant art & animation. When have the Doflamingo fodder ever looked this good in the anime?
The colosseum scenes looked somewhat lesser in comparison. B-unit work? Funny how they reused the same animation of the tontatta cheering and dropping Usopp on two separate occasions.
Really good episode, only problem I had was maybe the pacing but it was still handled well even with the small amount of content

If you're referring to the bit with Luffy and Fujitora, that wasn't Shida,that was Yoshikazu Tomita. You can tell the difference by animation style; Shida's trademark is very fast, flowing movements and camera angles, while Tomita has very sharp, more abrupt movements.
