Ugh, why didn't they do the Sabo scene this episode?
No one wants to see useless Franky filler gag scenes with absolutely nothing going on.
They didn't think twice about giving the terrible D block more filler and attention than it was worth yet they replace what we want to see of the colosseum for this?

There're only 29 chapter behind the manga, and it'll take at least 4 months to make an episode.
When Dressrosa Arc began the number is about 35.
What's worse, Oda has to take rest frequently to keep a good health, while the anime doesn't have too many chances.
Besides, you may dislike Franky's filler, but others may like it, especailly Japanese audiences. Same goes to Hancock's fight in 3D2Y.

The Pica portion was about as good as could be expected. Good art and pretty decent animation.
The Franky filler was just weird. Most of it was harmless idiocy, but some of the Senor Pink stuff was uncomfortable. Seriously, "Scold us more! We want more!" while clinging to his legs? Too much.
Everything else was ok. Loved the moment when Wicca was hesitant about telling Kin'emon to take the stairs, because a CERTAIN OTHER swordsman has problems with directions.

Why not tell them we need a long running filler after Dressrosa?
Dressrosa Arc happens just on the next day of PH arc.
Ehh, time doesn't matter too much. Most of Thriller Bark takes place in a night, and that's 46 episodes.
I really doubt a long running filler arc will ever happen again in this anime (unless Oda suddenly has to go on multi month hiatuses). Filler within episodes that allows for less than a chapter to be adapted is the norm.
Where can I find the preview for next week?
I am going to be more interested in next week's episode than this week. Honestly, that Franky filler was so stupid and pointless. If you want to show us something interesting for filler, I would prefer more actual fighting than the ridiculous scene we had to go through. Oda invests way too much on the story to be bothered with side-fights, so at the very least you could fill the gaps in a more interesting manner.
Boy, the animation really was fantastic for luffy. When he went gear second, it really brought me back to the old days when the animation was always that quality during the first sabaody arc. In today's episode, luffy's hair shadow actually moved as he moved. i know that hair shadows moving is nothing impressive and should be expected, but its been so long since ive seen that in one piece.
Art and animation was so bad this episode.
As long as they show that Franky filler by the time Delly arrives, I couldn't care less how stupid it is! :happy:

I loved this episode. Franky was cool and Luffy, Pica… was great, too.
It was alright I think.
Pica felt creepy, which was nice, and I loved seeing the filler with Violet fighting (I think it was filler?), however small. The Franky filler was partly cool, partly awful (really, MORE stripping?) and overall it should've probably been shorter.
The bits with Usopp and Robin were okay. You do really get into the mood for operation S.O.P, and I'm definely excited to see the results, regardless of quality. The rollercoaster is about to begin.
I agree with the notion that if you're going to have filler during a fight, it should actually involve fighting.
The stuff with Pica was decent, but overall this was not one of Hisada's better outings, especially compared to his previous episode. Still, I guess that's no surprise given how often Ueda drags the animation directors down to his level. Hopefully this and last week were just the blood sacrifices for 670 and 672.
Franky doing the "come get me" gesture with his tiny robot hand was a nice idea, so was the Ukulele. Sadly it's all worth crap if the animation is terrible. I mean, they didn't even bother to animate his hair transforming..?
This is definitely one of those episode where I can see that the people working on the show want to deliver something, but simply can't. I just hope that it pays off in the next few episodes.

Toei please go and get the people who made Kill la Kill and have them animate One piece.
