You just said that taking Caribou's advantage away from him was retarded, so I'm giving the Strawhats the only thing that they need in order to defeat Caribou and is something that some of them will gain soon enough anyway while Caribou on the other hand, no so likely.
Uh, I'm disagreeing with this. Franky's already shown he doesn't need any haki to defeat Caribou, just be alert (and nope he didn't need haki there) intelligence and handy tools, and viola, one trapped swamp man.

Seeing we saw Drake's T-Rex form holding him in its mouth leads me to believe this was a hint from Oda, meaning that Scotch was defeated by Drake.

Really, Caribou is probably stronger than half of the Straw Hats. He's not that weak.
he does have an advantage but that doesn't automatically make him stronger there are many counters to his ability

Well it will be interesting to see what everyone's views on the arc are next year, but at this point there's only going to be like 7-8 chapters max the rest of this year? Most likely we'll get 4-6 more chapters this year, with breaks and holidays.

Can be explained as a weakness of Caribou's DF that he was barely aware of before, going dormant when in an enclosed space, or one of the rare strokes of good sense on his part. He may have been able to bust out but decided facing the full strength of the Straw Hat crew on his just really wasn't worth it and taken a nap.
Whichever, I've still grown to love him. -

His DF didn't 'go dormant in an enclosed space. We see him dripping the swamp muck (right before Franky nailed the lid closed) when the lied was only barely up. I doubt that 1-2 inches of a lid open or closed is going to prevent him from transforming. And why would he be only logia to have such a weakness?It wasn't good sense on his part, he simply couldn't busrt out. Remember, once they entered FI, the barrel he was in was separated from the ship, so no Strawhats there to fight, but he still couldn't get out. He needed some curious mermaids to open the barrel up.
Its as simple that the barrel was water tight and he was caught. No need for fancy explanations. And despite the simple explanation, we can still love him. Caribou is a jerk and a goof, but I still like him.

Barrel and his close relatives rope, chain. jail, and handcuff have more plot armor than Luffy. How could one expect a mere side-character like Caribou to break out of one on his own? Even Luffy needs help with a hindrance that big.

Naruto made me all glassy eyed for the first time in a while, i'm okay with the ending thus far.
We've been seeing a ton of logia's in the new world, did the mention if dofla is a string logia or just so advanced with his fruit he can make and control a clone robin stylee. I want to see where oda goes with Usopp and Nami. I think it was groundbreaking that sanji sky or blue walked in nami's body, and usopp is showing signs of haki, hope oda keeps these little glimpses of greatness coming.
Franky recovered from that assbeating didn't he? wasn't he later shown kissing that factory chick and 1 on 1ing senor?

They can breathe underwater yes. All the devil fruit does is nullify their ability to move underwater.

I have wondered if you can suffocate logia or if they'd just go dormant in an airless space. Enil seemed fine in vacuum but he wasn't trapped in a space that didn't allow him human form.

Then by really training his powers hard he could potentially make himself invisible or create mirages. It's far fetched, but in a manga, this could be pulled off. Pretty OP though. Now imagine if Kizaru did the same thing by manipulating light.

A silent earthquake would still pretty much wreck any solid matter it moved through. We don't know enough about either fruit but I doubt the hinky physics of OP will stretch that far.

A silent earthquake is silent from our perspective but it might not be completely. I agree with your post, though, I think Oda will keep things simple. Corazon isn't a main character, after all. I kinda wish he was :ninja:

but wouldnt cancelling all vibration affect whether or not the guns/ bazookas can fire off? is movement not a form of vibration? maybe it just affects the persons ability to be heard and doesnt cancel out vibration all together
