My name is Ed, or Ned_Gutters. I've been a one piece fan for only about… 4 or 5 years. I started with the anime, then ran out, and read through the remainder as manga. I've since gone back and looked through a good deal of the manga.
To me, One Piece is about freedom, friendship, and determination. I love the values, the laughs, and the emotions that it instills in readers. I've lurked on forums for quite some time, and I've watched a good deal of one piece theory crafting on youtube. I love the community, and I am happy to be a part of it.
My first post - besides this one - is going to be a theory about what it is, exactly, that Doflamingo knows. As soon as I have privileges to post in the manga forum, I will be doing so (unless there is somewhere else I should be posting theory?), so please read if your interested and let me know what you think!
A bit about me outside of one piece. I am a professional philosopher, and I teach logic at the university level. I have an M.A. in philosophy with a specialty in phenomenology of the self, and I plan to pursue a PhD in philosophy. I hope to work in experimental philosophy, specifically alongside cognitive and neuroscientists. I play 12-string acoustic guitar, 6-string electric, and 5-string bass. I like video games, and am currently playing through the last of us on grounded. I'm a rock climber and weight lifter.
