Who are these people?? Marie Jois police?
Nobody expects the Dressrosian inquisition!

The OP devil fruit sure deserves is name. I like Corazon design. He looks like a crazy street thug.
Its a translation error. "Sea Beasts" are attacking the port, they're from Hodi Jones's failed coup attempt. They're not the same thing as the "Sea Kings".
Ahh, thanks for clearing that up, you're right! Now that I look at them again, I recognise them as Hody's pets. Hmm…
By throwing them out of a window to their probable deaths?
Ok.
You must think this through even if you don't share this opinion
At the end of this flashback
we as reader shall sympathize with Corazon as Law's mentor or father/aniki figure so he can't be a child murderer it is impossible.
Due to the fact that there were at least hundred kids before and he killed none of them would mean
throwing Law out of the window was his first attempt to kill a child and that would be highly unlikely.
Moreover Baby5 and Baffalo are also still alive.
He tried to hurt him both physically and psychologically, the near death experience should scare him away
but he didn't know that Law has due to his illness only 2 years anyway
Corazon IS the body that doflamingo uses to keep himself alive. Take a close look at the last panel. Its doflamingo.
The Corazon surrogate switches his personality with Doflamingos right before doflamingo dies, thus keeping doflamingo alive in a new body.
Also explains why doflamingos "killed" corazon and his clothes don't fit right. They are on corazons taller body.
I don't think it has nothing to do with that. In fact, as soon as we left East Blue DF stoped being scarce/rare, and every villain crew the SH's faced this side of Enel's priests have been chockfull of Devil Fruits. Just look at Baroque Works. The non-DF users were a minority.
Not really. It was only when you reached the top 5 Mrs. & Ms days it became DF heavy and the structure was of professionals working their way through the ranks, DF giving them a big advantage. Out of this huge group 10 had DF.
Dofla's Family (and CP9) seem to have taken the opposite approach & trained members then giving them DF.
It's understandable the WG would have the resources to do this, but with a crew like Doflas it seems a little unlikelier.
Unless he had a steady supply from somewhere.
And of the other crews; the Hancock sisters were the only Amazons and they had theirs forced upon them by the CD. Gekko 3, Whitebeard's huge crew had 5. Even the world-spanning Marines have only shown 18.
Dofla's singular family already has 12 shown, 4 of which seem to have been normal children when they joined. At the very least this says Dofla has been aggressively seeking DF out through his broker contacts.

But. . .why does Dofla need to keep switching bodies that. . .look identical to his supposedly initial body to begin with? I mean, this guy is Doffy right before this chapter starts ("where did that captain go?"). Corazón's body is different, or Law would've said "the captain came back?" "no, this is the captain's identical twin". So, Doffy already had a body (or at least a face) that looks identical to nowadays Doffy. What makes you think Doffy needed to switch bodies to an identical looking twin that hides behind Kiss + Joker style make-up?
The one that's dying is Law, btw, not Doffy. That we know, Doffy doesn't have a condition that forces him to constantly have a spare extra body to switch to when he's about to die. He's not Orochimaru.

Well, of course BW's lower agents had in harder, but as soon as we got to the top 5 (more like top 10, though), it was overkill. CP9 were a 5/7 deal, I think, plus Funkfreed. Moriah's crew was just really short, but it was him + Perona + Absalom, only Hiruluk was fruitless. 3/4.
The Kuja we still don't know so far, I mean the elite group that goes on raids with the Boa sisters, not pre-time skip Margaret and co, who seemed mostly clueless as to what a DF even was, still hasn't shown a single thing. Maybe some of them have a fruit. Plus Oda inteded for Margaret to have a black panther zoan, so maybe he hasn't entirely ditched that idea and given her that fruit post-ts.
But I mostly meant villains and, yeah, I just saw that I overgeneralized, considering Impel Down didn't have many villain DF users (though the 4 guards are zoans), and the NFP only had Van Der Decken for obvious reasons, so, yeah, it does seem like Doflamingo has an edge in terms of DF's, though not that much considering Crocodile already had tons of DF underlings.
So Law have some basics from Diamente, Lao G and Gladius. I suppose he has some skills with a sword but I can't picture him as a martial artist. And I'm not sure what Gladius taught him. But thanks to that he avoid being shitty in any are. He should have learn fighting with Doffly rather than Grandpa G. That Doffly sure know how to move.

Well the thing with Dofla is that a good part of them seems to have gain their fruit while they were on his crew has oppose to engage people already with fruits.

I included the Impel Down characters under Marines. Though I have my suspicions the beasts of ID are Vegapunk using it for a experiment dumping ground.
From Oda's pic of the child CP9 it seems that they become members first, DF later. Mostly anyway.
Baroque Works is self selecting, adults with DF joining. DF users rise to the top.
I do think Oda has a reason for this concentration in mind, he seeds such things well and so far Dressrosa has been dotting i & crossing ts better than it's getting credit for.
With the Dofla/ Cora body thing: people seem to be getting his current Black Knight string dupe mixed up with the past of Dofla & Cora having a family resemblence and Cora's death having sonething to do with a bodyswap/ sacrifice rather than D outright murdering hi brother.
Giving Cora make-up like this maybe a deliberate attempt to mislead by Oda.
The OP devil fruit sure deserves is name. I like Corazon design. He looks like a crazy street thug.
Ahh he reminded me of the Joker with that glasgow smile.

Well the thing with Dofla is that a good part of them seems to have gain their fruit while they were on his crew has oppose to engage people already with fruits.
The thing with Law's "mentors" was a nice tidbit, specially the ones that apparently taught him. Diamante is an elite, but Lao G and Gladius are "regular" officers, so maybe the feeling that these two might be among the strongest is not that out there. Also, special mention to Gladius; he's only 3 years older than Buffalo, who's considered as one of the "kids" by Diamante, and yet he's boss enough to teach Law how to properly set a bomb.
And I've been thinking people like to underrate Law's actual swordfighting prowess because his fruit is already too OP, but even without Room shenanigans, he's been shown a couple of times to keep up with Smoker and now Doffy in close quarters combat, and that's quite a feat.
As for Dofla's fruit business, yeah, he seems to give fruits to those underlings that served him well or that he thinks deserve it. Crocodile seemed to just hire already talented people, with Daz being an infamous assassin, etc. . .
To make a football comparison, Doflamingo is more like Barça using tons of players from their younger categories while guys like Florentino or the City/Chelsea owners go for the already "proven" big stars.
Flashback Trebol looks fucking hilarious.
Hey APFers,
Did you find the chapters as incoherent as we did over on /r/OnePiece? I've made an English version of the chapter based on a script given to me by a fellow redditor so here's our scanlation: http://imgur.com/a/06aMZ
<3 from /r/OnePiece
Not trying to sound like an ungrateful d-bag but there's 2 things I would change about that translation.
First being the immortality sentence, even from the first scanlation (MP) then Aohige's summary, it's clear that there's an unaging factor to the immortality. As I mentioned in the spoiler thread there's many types of immortality in fiction, if everyone read your translation then I'd expect people to now hold a misconception about the immortality - which I doubt is your goal.
Secondly, 2-3 years? Isn't it 3 years and 2 months? Law says his parents were doctors and he was strangely confident about living for at least 3 years - why would he be giving an estimate?
Other than those two complaints, I say you did very well.
Thank you for your work.

.. and wow still no MS scans.
It's a cheap plot device to keep Luffy out of action.
Also knows as put under a skull, eaten by snake, stuck between buildings, trapped in junkyard, etc.
but i disappoint see luffy like that after time skip..
luffy is not ready to fight yonkou and admiral..
zoro is the best now..
I don't know why, but this panel was the best unintentionally funny thing I've seen in a while.
Maynard confirmed for being the real Kaido in disguise. Meadows was but a clever ruse!
Great chapter but horrible translation. It finally seems like we'll be concluding this arc after this flashback. I give the flashback 3 chapters max.
Sorry if posted already
So the flashback has started. Now watch as the next chapter continues with the fighting, so Oda can troll us some more for the rest of the Flashback.
I'm gonna make some guesses at what the treasure might be, starting from not serious going up to serious.
1. Porn. Everyone knows that porn is a big thing, but we have yet to see anything that even gives off a vibe that should be porn. We won't see explicit stuff, but there haven't been any Pirates gone wild or anything else of that nature. Once it's distributed, it will stop people from fighting, because they will be to busy with other stuff.
2. Internet. They have ways of communicating, but there isn't any way to spread information instantly. In real life, the internet changed things up, and the same could be applied to the OP world. They don't want to bring it out because then their secrets could be leaked via Poneleaks, by the head of the revolutionary army himself.
3. Akainu clones. Doflamingo can control lots of Akainu's. If you think one Magma fist was scary, wait till you see 1000's of Magma fist's falling from the sky.
4. The graves of all the Celestial Dragons. They are dead, but maybe with Law's power, he could put personalities into them, but they would have those people's memories. The memories they all have could give huge clues about certain things.
5. Joyboy. We learned about Joyboy in Fishman Island, and he's going to play a role later on. Maybe Joy Boy was a key figure in the Void Century. The fruit is needed to utilize him, and he might have a certain power that can change the tides of the conflicts.
6. A body of a powerful being, which could still be Joyboy. We know Law can switch personalities and take people's heart out. Perhaps one can transfer their body into another body. The treasure might be someone that was powerful and respected by the CD's, and the body was preserved, so one day this person could be brought back.
cora is somehow funny hehege
but i disappoint see luffy like that after time skip..
luffy is not ready to fight yonkou and admiral..
zoro is the best now..
Zoro was put in a cage and hit by drunk bullets.
it's obvious law had lead poisoning or smth and would die in 3 years but doffys little bro saved him… and though it sounds stupid he may have given the toys kid immortality instead of someone else xD, well cause of his stupidity/clumsiness... cant find any other reason to make him like that rly...
Interesting things I noticed: first, on page 6, Law clutches his chest and his heart palpitates, so loudly the beats get their own "speech" bubble. Second, and more intriguing to me, Trebol disappears between pages 6 and 7! Page 6, panel 2, Trebol's still in pieces behind Law, and the "head" piece is shorter than Law. Panel 5 of the same page, the "head" piece is now taller than Law. Then, panel 3 of page 7, we're looking at Law from Doffy's perspective, and no Trebol nor bits of Trebol behind Law at all!

I didn't care much about the other times, but now I'm seriously gonna flip out if he does that again. I'm need to see more of Corazon.

Mariejois = Great Firewall of China?
So now we have a blind character (Fujitora) and a mute character (Corazon). All we need now is a deaf character.
That treasure must be Uranus, since it would make sense for the "Celestial Dragons" to have the Sky-related Ancient Weapon.
Diamanté and Trebol look like case detectives in tnis chapter.
Anyway, I'm already in love with Corazon's design!! I guess Oda really likes those 80’s rockers, since we got Steven styler in form of Diamanté, and now this guy!
I' ms till looking forward to seeing Vergo, Pica, Gladius, Lao G and Dofla 16 years ago.
The idea that a crew found a DF that use to be in their crew is far fetched. Mingo doesn't even have this kind of resources back then.
You find it far fetched because you don't subscribe to the "devil fruit spawning in the closest fruit" theory. But it's ok if don't.

Yohohoho! Good job!
My review for chapter 761 =D:
@Medical:
So now we have a blind character (Fujitora) and a mute character (Corazon). All we need now is a deaf character.
Luffy could count for the time being, cause he never listens to anyone anyways. If we want to go for all the senses, we need someone who can't taste things (Sanji's worst enemy), can't smell (well I guess Brook probably counts), and feel (Maybe Aokiji or Akainu, cause one is Ice cold and the other one is basically emotionless).

Anyone else think corazon has the mera mera and ace got it after he died?
Anyone else think corazon has the mera mera and ace got it after he died?
No, why would you think that? He lit himself on fire while trying to smoke, nothing to do with the mera mera fruit.
Cora got killed didn't died from nothing.
He might have gotten fataly wounded in fight with Doflamingo and knowing he is done for and not wanting Doflamingo to have fruit he escaped from fight and decided that Law should be the one to get it as closest person to Corazon.
Sounds good or still you dont like it?
There 1000 ways I can state my reaction towards that unholy excuse of whatever shit I just read from MangaPanda, but all of them basically say MangaPanda is total and utter horse crap.
@Hamburger:

Good observation, something to catch while re-reading. Trebol now probably is a whole again and he will probably stop Law by suprise and in that time Luffy deals with String Clone and maybe KOs Bellamy with CoC haki blast(Bellamy is strong but we do not know extent of how CoC can be used, if some people can pick out targets for their CoC from big crowd then maybe they also can pick single person and concentrate whole CoC blast on him/her, maybe that was what additionally Chinjao and Luffy did when they clashed in arena- when they punched each other maybe they also concentrated all of their CoC blast on enemy and weaker willed person would fall, so Bellamy could be taken out with something like that I think).
And now for something totally different….
With Jinbe still having the lost sea kitten around, I'm hoping (though admit its unlikely) that he returns to the sea floor and we get to see some chapracters that were shown during Hatchi's Sea Floor Stroll, such as the panda shark or a certain princess
[hide] I mean the Goldfish Princess, silly not the Mermaid Princess!
[/hide]
How many good old familiar faces would we possibly see in this flashback?
So far we got law diamanté trebol baby5 buffalo.
I think at least 7 more characters we know may appear.
Hopefully Tsuru and/or X Drake cameos… since they seemed to have been part of Doflamingo and Law's past respectively.

Can you elaborate? i dont remember any implication of this at all

Bellamy sure will have to be part of that flashback as well.
Though I dont get what made you think about Drake being part of Laws/Mingos past. Drake joined Kaido during timeskip, Doflamingo seemed to be starting his Smile business around time of Whitebeard war if you were maybe thinking about ties between Kaido and Mingo.
Can you elaborate? i dont remember any implication of this at all
for Doflamingo, Tsuru scolded him during the Shichibukai meeting in volume 25 telling him to stop playing with vice admirals.
For X Drake, he's from the same sea as Law and in Sabaody Law asked Drake how many people he killed on his way with Drake not answering.
Of course I may have terrible memory and is completely wrong lol
Still it doesnt hurt to speculate lol
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
The way Tsuru spoke at Doflamingo telling him to be a good boy and stop just seemed like she knew a lot about Doflamingo to me.
Plus she's one of the long time members of Marine high command so...
If marines are involved in Law flashback I think we maaaay see her. Just a guess lol...
Drake used to be a Marine (Rear Admiral to be specific) before he became a pirate, also. So who knows.
But when it comes to Tsuru i think its more likely that she is just an old experienced Vice Admiral who knows about Doffys past exploits.
Bellamy sure will have to be part of that flashback as well.

Perhaps it is my hazy memory but I thought Law spoke with Drake in Sabaody. Aren't they both from North Blue..?
Gotta go back and check lol.
But yeah I think we may see Bellamy as a cameo too!
Maybe a blink and you miss tiny bit part. The ones which Oda answers for SBS questions lol

Yeah exactly! So if we see some Marines in this flashback Tsuru and/or Drake miiight appear.
Just a wishful thinking. Cuz I like the two characters heh

Thanks for explanation.
I didnt understood how you jumped to Tsuru/Drake thing right away, now I get what you wanted to say.
I really do hope Laws flashback will be lenghty one.
Somehow it feels to me that we will see Crocodiles flashback somehow later in the story same as during Kaido arc I expect Moria backstory - flashback to be properly fleshed out.
X-Drake used to be a rear admiral in North Blue, thats Correct. And yeah it would be cool to see a younger Tsuru too i guess. Im not gonna comment on the likelyhood of seeing them in the flashback, but im not opposed to the idea.

I like that theory. Then CoC would finally be usefull. If it could knock out people you'd have to low+ difficulty, so easy victory but still have to spend some time on then and they would be too strong to just fall like fodders. So you could send one CoC shockwave. It would save you some energy.
Sometimes I'll see a corrected chapter come out but not this time. This goes beyond "oh, it's free, it's a fan translation, it doesn't matter"– people who don't come to forums but just read it there will get the wrong idea-- thinking, for example, that the marines are killing people. Someone should really contact whoever translates these things. There are a dozen or so things that contradict what Aohige said or just don't make sense. Anyone who knows how, please do.
He might have gotten fataly wounded in fight with Doflamingo and knowing he is done for and not wanting Doflamingo to have fruit he escaped from fight and decided that Law should be the one to get it as closest person to Corazon.
Sounds good or still you dont like it?
When you say Corazon have this fruit, do you mean have it as a user of the fruit or have it in his possession? If it's the latter, then I agree. The former is not one piece.

Your assumption is worth as much as mine(bit less in my opinion because its a no no without any signs of thinking or considering anything else - beside considering Corazon having Ope Ope in possesion- than your own point) as we are yet to see how it will go with Corazon possibly being previous Ope ope no mi user.
"the former is not one piece" sounds like too much of an absolute while you are also just speculating like I do, simply taking your speculation like only thing that can happen.
