Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Well we've been getting every one piece game since Pirate Warriors 1, so I have no doubt we'll be getting this one too.
Every game except Grand Collection if we're being technical. Personally I wish this game would come to the Vita too.
Hmm mm. I will surely be getting this game anyway since it's one piece, but after putting in many hours in Grand battle 3, Grand battle Rush, and Grand Adventure, this seems like the character models from those games but in a 2d format like he gigantic battle games. I kinds wish it was a full roaming 3d brawler like the days of old, with chests and stage hazards etc. Sigh… looks like another few years to wait for a game like that... Focusing on this game though but itself it looks pretty good. More Dress Rosa colosseum is definitely a good thing but dang it why can't it be in 3d?
damn i cant wait to see more about this. The gigant battle games was what got me into One Piece.

awesome, luffy mounting ucy on that screen
i want to see more ^^
Is that Chinjao on the background of the screenshot with Ucy?
An art sunny level. Sweet
on the Fishman Island Stage: Chopper, Sanji, Zoro, Megalo, Little Dragon of PH
on the Roger Stage: Issho, Franky, Luffy, Doflamingo, Law, Usopp, Newgate
on the Sunny Art Stage: Doflamingo, Issho, Luffy, Law, Sanji Nami
on the Corrida Stage: Luffy, Ucy, Robin, Chinjao, Elizabello
I liked Grand Adventure and I loved the Gigant Battle games ( aside from the overpowered blocking ), so if this game is a mix of the two then it has already won me over. The graphics are lovely.
And I want as much Colosseum stuff on this game as possible, please.
New blog entry from Ganbarion : http://www.ganbarion.co.jp/entries/view/1218
Don't know if it was confirmed that they're developping the game.
Cool to see some new items in the game :
!
And that Franky's haircut can change (?).
!
It looks like there'll be lots of items and vehicles/mounts in the game ( first Ucy and then Franky's machine, I guess they'll work as assists or something ), great.
We got the Burn Bazooka.
Maybe Wiper will be one of the playable characters.
what are the chances of a western release?
Very high, considering all games since Pirate Warriors 1 have seen a release outside Japan.
Good to see them using 3d models this time. I hope PTS and TS characters are just 1 slot, rather than 2. I also hope they add online as well, IIRC, the Gigant Battles were missing this.
There was online in at least the second game, I don't remember about the first but I think that one didn't have online modes.

franky's hair HAVE TO SAVE UP MY MONEY FOR SGB.
Upon further research, it seems that despite having more similarities to the Gigant Battle series than Grand Battle 3, Rush, and Adventure, This game is actually going back to its roots, and drawing from its original incarnations, in Grand Battle 1 and 2, which were, in fact, 3D models on a 2D plane
!
And Thank Eneru, too! Cause now this means that we will hopefully get more than one attack button
I know in GBII, Carue & Pandaman were playable. That would be pretty funny if they were playable here too. I do hope Red will be playable & maybe to see some of the Neo Marines too.
_Yeah!
I were expecting this game since years
And the Roster sure will be cool.
Hope 55, 60, Characters are playable
Need a Trailer_
Anyone posted these?
OMG, it's been a while since we had a grand battle game!
Can't wait to hear more about this one!
Hawkins, kid and bonney also there, presumably as support only. Burges is a weird one
Awesome! Timeskip Akainu beard is in!!!! Burgess is an interesting choice, glad to see Shiki and Z though
Also I think I spy Chinjao in the background of the Z vs Akainu pic. And what could that Shiki vs Whitebeard stage be? I don't recognize it at al unless its the back of a monster from Strong World
and those Luffy costumes for OPUWR looks sick hahaha
cool that Shiki is in. Strong World Film rules.
pics
Burgess, Shirohige, Shiki, Akainu and Z confirmed.
Aaah…kinda wished the environments were 3D/destructible but it looks great! Looks like a fine roster so far.
Thanks Based Redon!
Nice that Z is in! Thanks Red
never expected burgess, z and shiki i hope they don't make some barebone movestes just to throw in more characters
also what is that thing under hawkins and bonney ? looks kinda wierd
_Mmmmh, I dont like these Characters lol
I want to see Lucci, Arlong, Crocodile, Ener, Marco, Kuzan soon._

Seems like the back of the Punk Hazard dragon.
Also, am I the only one that doesn't see the point in DLC costumes? Why would I need the costumes AFTER I complete the game? And on top of that you have to pay for each one.
_For Super Grand Battle, the Costumes should be free, I think.
I remember 1/5 Costumes for each Strawhat.
People isn't crazy enough to buy 2000 Costumes._
to me Burgess' confirmation is also a confirmation of
! Sabo
but we have to know if it is with or w/o Mera Mera's power
I expected Z to be in, awesome! And yeah, Burgess is WIN, I just hope he doesn't feel lackluster, his luchador style could make him very fun.
thx for the translated scan jojo
Now we eagerly await 85 character list prediction posts sigh
I'm just waiting for a trailer.
my only doubt is about that bonney in the down-left angle… she seems to 1. have the before-timeskip outfit, and 2. use a huge meat-piece as club... which is not her classic "rejuvenating power" of her support-role in "Gigant Battle" series... so I have literally fear they made her a huge made-up-gameplay as playable... say me I am wrong, please...

I don't know, but the Game looks pretty ahead with the series…
I see they have Dressrosa quite covered. Cool.
Now, give me Caesar Clown, and East Blue villains. Then we'll talk.
Also, Gigant Battle style gameplay is a little lackluster, honestly; there's no way to combo outside of the pre-established button links, or at least I didn't find a way. At least Grand Battle's/Adventure had two attack buttons, cancels, etc. . .even though the assists were far beyond broken and incredibly annoying.
Well my wish of a continuation of the Gigant Battle series got granted pretty quickly. I played the Grand Battle Rush and Adventure back in the PS2 days, and enjoyed them for what they were, but I definitely didn't ask for a sequel. However, after learning that the first two Grand Battle games were 2D fighters with two buttons layout, I'm wau more interested in SGBX, as it could be a nice mix of the classic Grand Battle gameplay and the huge roster of the Gigant Battle series.
I hated how overpowered blocking is in Gigant Battle, especially that bypassing it was almost impossible, and the AI had the tendency to pull it off perfectly to waste your supers. Hopefully this will be remedied in this game. I just finished UWR and enjoyed it immensely, so here is hoping that this gets localized quickly, hopefully no later than Q2 2015.
So considering Unlimited Red got a release. Any chance Bandai will stop being a wuss and finally allow us to get the game?

Yeah, I mentioned this earlier in the thread as well. It seems the blocking system will stay the same from what we've seen in the scans ( at least the characters are seen blocking in a similar fashion, it may very well be different, though ), but I wonder if it'll be breakable this time around, it was the game's biggest flaw for me, it interrupted the pace of the battles and was really, REALLY annoying.

I don't think that we can tell if the block system is the same just from the few screenshots we have. They might've implemented chip-damage for all we know, which would help in alleviate the problems of the current block mechanics. Also, it was always possible to guard break in the Gigant Battle games, however I remember it taking a lot of time to happen and that would leave you open for attacks from other characters, or even from the character you're attacking due to the long recovery time that most combo finishers have. Using a level 3 super however, always guarantee a guard break on the first hit, which means a LV3 super will always hit, however the damage will be greatly reduced if blocked. Let's hope Ganbarion addresses all of these issues in this game.

Is that so? I spent countless hours on both games and I hadn't noticed, I thought you either had to throw the enemy or be a Paramecia fruit user to be able to break your opponent's guard ( it's been a while since I last played so I may be forgetting something ), now I feel like an idiot xD. The Level 3 specials thing I did know.
And yeah, they should implement chip damage into the game.
