No. Pokemon special took its timeslot for the day.
-
You know, all the twists and turns of bleach actually look kind of fun an interesting when you parse about 100 chapters down to roughly 60 panels.
-
@Purple:
Mainly it trapped him in that loop because he was immortal, else it would have ended when it sapped out the last of his life force, but close enough I guess

Oh, sorry, the answer was correct but you didn't put it into the form of a question, so I'm going to have to deduct those points from your score

Ah well, I still have more of an awesome Manga to read, so I still win in the end. Take that game show, I didn't want your money anyways. On the bad side, Naruto and Bleach are still going, but I have plenty of good manga I need to read that can balance that out. Take that Kubo and Kishimoto, I won't eat dust and rain, I'll read better Manga and still say how bad your stuff is.
-
without the gratification that you're doing it for someone else!
-
At least it's better than working for him. Plus side is I only have to spend about 5 minutes reading both chapters, and I can then make fun of stupid. If I really didn't like the chapter, I have One Piece and Toriko. If those two fail me, God forbid, I can read other good manga until the next week to drown it out. So in the end, it's really not bad, because I get more fun out of the terribleness than the short time I have to read it.
-
Yo guys, those of you who keep track of Kubo's interviews, can you link me to ones where he says he doesn't plan ahead?
-
Thank you very much, Franky Tank.
-
No problem. Trying to find the part you wanted, I read some parts that were really interesting. Apparently he doesn't have any planned personality for any of the characters. That would explain Ichigo.
-
Q: I heard that you have to draw 19 pages of manga every week, and that you drew ahead so you could take a break to come out to San Diego. Have you done any drawing since you've been here?Tite Kubo: I worked really hard so I could take the time to come here, so no, I haven't worked on any drawing since I've been here (big smile).

Just to clarify, Tite Kubo really is supposed to be pronounced "Tight", right?

@Bartholemew:

I believe so. There is probably a way to associate the pronunciation of his name to his current work and his fandom, but I'm to tired to think about it.
-
I always thought it was 'Tee-Tay' Kubo. But maybe after that Orihime colour spready it should be pronounced 'Titty' kubo
-

Here's a question, if Kubo doesn't care enough to plan and make a decent manga, his job that he should be putting effort in, why should we put effort into knowing how to pronounce his name?
-
Tite -> Taito -> Tight
Sounds about right. -

Pfft, his name is always a pun for me, since "kubo" literally means "coffin" in my first language.
-
Let's just settle on calling him Titty Kubo.

I don't know, if we take what Sander says into account, then it seems as though we should call him Titty Coffin.
-
Titty Coffin… only in the Naruto&Bleach thread, ladies and gentlemen.
I applaud you fine sirs.
-
That's definitely something you don't want to GIS

BIP: Breast in Peace

BIP: Breast in Peace
It has the tit reference, the dead reference, and the manga is about dead people. I mean it's just…

Quick, someone shop Orihime into this for complete Boob Sarcophagus
Also Aizen stabbing Momo.
Just 'cause.

I´m trying to decide what´s worse. The amount of white on that colorspread, or the random phrase above the word bleach.

It's the poem on the far right.
-
I thought the "don't sleep tili you sleep" was worse
-
what does that even mean
-
what does that even mean
Hmm, maybe what it means is that, you know, you shouldn't go to sleep until you've TRULY embodied the essence of sleepiness. Cuz, you know, what's the point in doing anything half-heartedly? You wouldn't be able to fully enjoy sleep unless you really were ready to sleep and your mind and soul can…

Like, don't fall asleep unless it's time for bed and you tucked yourself in.
-
bleach needs a second mizukage
-
what does that even mean
It's a deep, philosophical quote that has been around since philosophy was created. It's talking about how one must always be awake and alert, which is true for this manga. Once one is no longer paying attention, they have lost the battle. You can see this when Luchador knocked out the Hisagi and Ikaku, and it's even more true with the Vizards telling people how their moves work. While they are considered awake, they are sleeping their mind and not fully realizing what is happening. This can even be traced to the beginning of this war where Yamamoto was awake yet sleeping, and the Quincies came up to him without him knowing. This shows that initially, only the Quincies were awake, and thus they had the advantage. It wasn't until Yamamoto died that everyone stopped sleeping and fully awoke. Kubo truly understands that people don't understand the full scale of things until it hits close to home.
-
Funnily enough that picture reminds me of something.

It's almost as if both Mangaka have admitted their Manga are dead, and that their characters aren't really alive, they are just animated corpses going through the motions. This really explains the little expressions Bleach characters have, as well as Sausuke.

Well, most of the characters in Bleach are in fact dead and all those Edo Tensei'd bodies in Naruto are definitely dead. It really reflects the kind of life these manga bring.

Dead people, dead beats, dead ideas, dead backgrounds, dead expressions, dead ratings, dead potential, dead philosophy, dead villains, dead personalities, dead story, dead humor, dead everything. It's the opposite of Brook. He's dead but entertaining and a good character, the Manga's are dead and have no redeeming value.

guys…..
apparently the raw did say semen
-
Do you know where the source is, the source that the person that opforum got these from?
If so, well I guess even if that's not the case, the very idea on how One Piece editors affected the storylines can be pretty interesting. A timeline of One Piece editors could be really cool to have and maybe theorize on editor burden on the story.
Didn't his editor at the time (just before Sabaody Arc) ask Oda to shake things up a little and that's when Oda decided to introduce the Eleven Supernova (who were supposed to be introduced later in the New World)??
If so then, I wonder who would've saved Luffy

Rayleigh, of course.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Is this for real? I've heard so many things I don't know what to believe anymore.
-
But if it is semen, then the question is who's semen?
And why is Yamuchika so familiar with the smell of semen? In fact, what the hell does a ghost have to do with semen? Is it ghost semen? -

Yeah lol. DarthAsthma looked at the raw again, and it turns out that it does make mention of semen.
Viz must've just toned it down

"Don't sleep till you sleep."
"Don't cum till you're there."

hahahahahahahaha. Wow, that's an interesting new place for Bleach.

I think the proper term is 'ectoplasm'.

what was the statement even for? he could have "unmasked" him in 99999999999999999 different ways, even without explanation it would have been better….

@The:
Here's all of them. The one you want is the 10th one that say San Diego Comic Con- Q and A with Kubo tite.
Jo Kaps: "Many readers are wondering why you tend to draw minimalistic to no backgrounds and focus on the characters instead."
Kubo: "Backgrounds distract the reader from what's going on inside the character. Whenever I leave backgrounds out, this is to allow my readers to see the heart of the character." You know what, guys? Kubo is a treasure. He is an ultimate being and we'll remember him forever. Him and his… heart.
