This chapter felt so random.

Franky's kiss was so unexpected.

Then theres the head of the factory.
You would of thought that Shuuin would of been mentioned earlier, and would have been a key part of the Donquixote Pirates like Special Executive Sugar.
This is the factory we're taking about, the key to Doffy's business, so I doubt he'd just let any nobody run it.

Also, I don't recall Pink being so gullible.

So after all that Franky is in still peak condition? Did he only lose because he was running out of cola?

At the very least, it looks like Ussop is back up and will probably save the princess.

Quick observation: Although we've only seen literally 2 panels of Manshelly, she doesn't seem as nasty and selfish as Leo first described her. I'm just totally guessing here, but maybe Leo was told a lie about Manshelly being a jerk now and, being a gullible dwarf, bought it?

That makes no sense at all. It hasn't even been been months. It started a mere 4 chapters ago and they've received little to no focus. They've finally entered the factory. That's huge.

But it could just be an ability.

That's true, but Oda is used to do this kind of thing better in other arcs. For instance, Luffy vs Lucci was pretty much the first EL battle to start, the last one to finish, but everytime he showed them something relevant or exciting was happening. Not just months of 'backdropping each other' panels and such.

Franky and Pink first met ages ago. They're going at it since God knows when.

And yes, months of a mostly offscreen fight that keeps getting eventual and repetitive panels (that go nowhere) is dragging in my book. Now they got full focus and entered the factory, but the fight didn't move at all, since we had to deal with whatever just happened.

Pretty sure this is the 3rd time they 'get serious".

Franky is beyond awesome. Finally we get to see his "street gang" side again. After Water 7 he seemed to have become too much of a good guy (for example in Sabaody Park he didn't do any 'backstreet' job, and that was surely needed)

Not that great of a chapter imo, but the Franky battle and tontatta's at the factory have to be adressed at some point in time, can't do everything off panel. Was never my favorite part, but at least we got to see a bit more goofy Kanjuro drawings and a bit of Barto as well.

I wonder why there's people that think Manshelly will be a strawhat, what's that all about?

Does her power have to do with processing Smile btw?

Overall, I think the chapter's okay but not as good as previous arcs. It's been chaotic from the first chapter of this arc. Has Oda lost his touch?

Altough… more then fifthy chapters in, and we are still as middle setup stages. This is starting to feel like Naruto...

I agree. The entire scene seemed so rushed and in general out of place and now the princess is in the royal palace with some special DF power both sides need or something of that sort.
Franky vs Pink fight is basically restarting. Luffy and the others were not seen, Robin and the balloon guys are past Pica but not at their destination, Zoro and Pica are "restarting" their fight all and all basically this chapter was about the almost victory in the SMILE factory and introducing us to a "new" character who is also an important chess piece in all of this

and the way it was handled, I didnt exactly like it, so yeah not a good chapter for me either
