No Enel, Ceasar, Magellan, Kuma, Moria, Perona, Garp and, apparently, PTS Nami, Chopper, Robin, Franky and Brook. I wasn't particularly found of any of those, but I'm curious about how they are going to recreate Dresrossa's and WCI's saga without CC. I mean, one of the selling points of the game is that they are recreating fewer arcs with more accuracy…right?
anyhow, I think that's settles the base roster. Let us wait for DLC announcement or data mining, whoever comes first.
(I was kinda expecting a surprise character, like they did with Shanks in PW3)

Especially the cut of Caesar is a really suprising. I think he was extremely fun to play und his relevance in Dressrosa and WCI-Arc isn't deniable. Furthermore is his moveset very fitting vor arial battles.
But I'm pretty sure he is one of the 9 returning characters throughout the dlcs -

Predictions for DLC? According to the French PSN there will be 03 packs, each with 03 characters…I mean, at least 03 characters. Hopefully they'll add more cosmectics and some missions.

1st Pack - Movie Pack .: Shiki, Tesoro and Bullet (I'd prefer Zephyr over Bullet, but due to Stampede blu-ray release date...)
2nd Pack - Beast Pirates Pack .: X Drake, Jack and Queen
3rd Pack - Old Antagonists Pack .: Kuma, Moria and Perona -

I dunno. I'd be pretty annoyed if we got the chars from previous games as DLC. Which is why I'm wary of paying for it up front. But hey, here are my predictions.
DLC Pack 1: Moriah, Kuma, Perona. (Thriller Bark Pack and themed level)
DLC Pack 2: Garp, Magellan, Hina. (Impel Down and Marineford themed levels)
DLC Pack 3: Kinemon, Ceasar, X Drake (Punk Hazard themed levels)Sadly dropping and Enel into the pit of forever cut but I'm following the trend used in previous Musou games of getting in themed chars plus waifu (Or Husbando in the case of Drake) bait for those extra sales. Honestly just trying to do this list made me angry as my DLC hopes were to finally get the likes of Bon Kurei in.

Yeah, in order to maximize sales, each character in a pack tends to target different kind of players. So I'd expect one waifu, one husbando and one badass strong guy in each pack.

Yoko Maki's a shojo manga artist, and if Wikipedia is to be believed she pretty much retired from the industry the day that image was posted. That should pretty much be her final piece of art work.

The Germa bros are being advertised as "early unlock" for those that pre-order the game, and Katakuri is that for the Season Pass. Doesn't that make them DLC characters for those that don't pre-order or get the pass? Would they be part of the 9 dlc characters, are they separate from those, or am I just understanding this wrong?

It just means you do not have to unlock them in the game itself and can play them right away as far as I understand.
Personally a bit salty that Caesar was cut, but looking forward to first video game outings of Cavendish, Bege and Katakuri.

Oh… that's disappointingly pointless to me. Guess no worries that I haven't pre-ordered it then.
I'm still stuck debating if I want to get it right away or wait until the DLC characters are all out. I can't see myself picking the game back up if I "finish" it before they come out, but I also don't want to miss out on the extra characters.

I'm pretty sure they are separate from the DLC. The people who pre-order the game will just have those characters unlocked from the very start of the game instead of having to unlock them through playing the story/missions.

Kaidou looks like one huge ogre, stomping around and swinging his club. That doesn't seem like that much fun. Luffy on the other hand will be a blast to play with.
Fujitora will be ridiculously OP again, no question, which makes me wonder why they didn't include Eneru. I recently downloaded PW 3 (as a little warm up for this one) and I had totally forgotten just how much fun the lightning guy is.

Am I the only one annoyed with the boss fights ? I mean imagine if you could fight against the moveset of playable Big Mom. It would be amazing, yet we just get here throwing some thunder and fire and standing around.

Regarding the number of random enemies, they say PW4 is the best among all KOEI games including Dynasty Warriors. They are so packed that PS4 players can easily beat 3000 enemies. For example, Luffy beats more than 4000 enemies in the pic below.

[/hide]Big Mom is unlocked when you! just finish Whole Cake Island arc. But the poster on 5ch has not used Big Mom yet, so I'm not sure if camera problems are solved or not.
The opening movie of Treasure Log shows playable characters so far, but it also shows Sengoku and Judge for some reason. Maybe both of them will be playable characters as DLC…?

Here's what I remember from the top of my head.
Kizuna rush gives you a lot of !!! and with that more coins. Keep spamming it, cancel it before it ends instead of using the super move, because that way you get to keep a portion of the kizuna rush bar.
Coins of playable characters are super easy to get, just play with those characters. So when you use assists, do your best to use the NPCs, and when spending coins, use the ones from the PCs. Example: Some upgrade is asking you for Baroque Works coins, first you use up Crocodile and Robin coins, because some upgrade is gonna ask you for Daz Bones coins specifically and you'll need them.
You can farm some very specific assists in story mode but most of them you'll only get in dream log. You can't choose your assists in dream log so when you want to farm a particular coin (or skill) it may take a while. You need to choose the level you want, go to the Prepare for Battle menu, check to see if you want those assists and if not, exit the level and reenter, until you get the ones you want.
You get character coins for defeating them in a level and for using them as assists, so no matter what you do you'll always get coins, but you get more coins of them by using them as an assist.
