It's almost time for the 11th season of SYTYCD!
This has been one of my favorite summer shows for the past decade. Unfortunately, this might be the last season. The ratings have slipped the past couple years and the exec producer Nigel Lythgoe has even resorted to twitter to garner support for the show through his followers' friends and family. It'd be a real shame if it ended its run.
For better or worse, apparently Justin Beiber is going to have a part in the show regarding dance crews, an area that hasn't been explored on the show yet but found a niche in America's Got Talent. Given his cult following, this could end up saving the show for another season.
I'm guessing after a decade, people are starting to find these talent shows a bit stale. The ratings have gone down across the board. Even The Voice saw a decline in it's short run. Does anybody still watch this great dancing show?
