This isn't a virus though. It's a vulnerability in OpenSSL which they somehow missed patching and went unnoticed (at least in any official capacity) for 2 years.
So it's not that there's a new cat burglar in town who is especially good at picking locks, it's more like it's been found that many locks will break if you hit them with a screwdriver.

I received and email of the provider of my antivirus (McAfee), warning about the behaviour and measures to take against a huge threaten to the security of your passwords and sensible data. This is serious warning, and biggest sites (google, facebook, instagram, etc…) are dealing with the bug right now, so be aware of it!
