This is pretty shocking, since he was just at Wrestlemania this past weekend. RIP Warrior.

Wait what? WHAT?! He was on tv just yesterday! Holy crap man.
This is still shocking to me. I mean we just saw him got in the Hall of Fame.
wow that is some crazy sh**
All day. RIP
Damn this really is….real?
Shit.
Oh man…..this sucks. I loved him when i first started watching wrestling in the 90s - this relaly puts a big downer on a morning which we got such an awesome OP chapter. :cwy:
Can't say I care given his anti left-wing views, but he was definitely a character.
I'm still kinda in shock about this. He gave a great HOF speech on the weekend.
The craziest thing is the speech he gave on raw monday night, which almost foreshadowed his death:
"No WWE talent becomes a legend on their own. Every man’s heart one day beats its final beat. His lungs breathe their final breath. And if what that man did in his life what makes the blood pulse through the body of others and makes them bleed deeper and something larger than life then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized. By the story tellers, by the loyalty, by the memory of those who honor him and make the running the man did live forever. You, you, you, you, you, you are the legend makers of Ultimate Warrior. In the back I see many potential legends. Some of them with warrior spirits. And you will do the same for them. You will decide if they lived with the passion and intensity. So much so that you will tell your stories and you will make them legends, as well. I am The Ultimate Warrior. You are the Ultimate Warrior fans and the spirit of Ultimate Warrior will run forever."
I'm glad he got into the HOF and at least was able to defend himself against the "self destruction" hatchet job the wwf did to him a few years back. I mean there's no doubt he was a bit of an ass, but he didn't deserve to be buried like that. It's almost like he knew it was his time and was just holding off until he could show up one last time - at the hof to reply to his critics, one last wrestlemania, and a final farewell to the fans in his "Warrior" persona on Raw.
He kept himself in top shape, so in all probabilty this is steroid related. In the 80's taking them was almost second nature for any wrestler trying to put on that kind of muscle mass.
I can't believe this. He was my favorite wrestler for a time in the era before Austin, the Rock and DX. RIP Ultimate Warrior, thank you for the fond memories.
What … the fuck??
I didn't even know he was inducted in the Hall of Fame until 2 hours ago and i just watched his speech on Youtube. He was one of my favourite wrestlers back in the 90s. When i saw this thread i didn't really realize it at first. He seemed totally healthy and he was only 54 years old! Man ... that's just fucked up.
RIP Warrior.
I've rewatched his speech on raw and watching withouth nostalgia glasses, it's pretty clear he's in a lot of pain.
I suspect he knew he didn't have much time left, which is why it had the tone that it did.
Yeah during his hall of fame speech, he said No to the fans about one more match. i
Saddened by his loss, especially seeing how happy his daughters were with him. Great character and passion that is to be celebrated.
However, he's said some pretty awful stuff regarding homosexuality and Hurricane Katrina. I'd like to believe that all of this talk about him coming to peace with himself and those around him these past few weeks also ties into that, but I guess we'll never know.
Couldn't believe it when I woke up to this yesterday but at the same time, my misgivings about how fragile he looked on Raw when attempting his signature rope shaking now made perfect sense.
A controversial but iconic pro wrestler that will never be forgotten.
RIP.

You're either being sarcastic or you're very confused.

Yeah, that was my bad, I meant to say "given his anti left-wing views." I'll fix it. Thanks for quoting me, that post left as-is would've made me look like a real asshole.

You still look like an asshole for semi-gloating over death because of political views.

The dude was homophobic. It's his views and his free speech, but so is mine to mention it upon his death.

I have no interest in playing the devil's advocate here but Warrior did say that Health Ledger was better off dead…here, I'll get the quote:
By today's standard, though, I do have to agree that he was a great father. Perhaps even greater then the father of the year, Hulk Hogan. After all, Leather Hedger did what it took to kill himself. His kid is without a father, yes, but the negative influence is now removed and his own child has the chance for a full recovery.
Jesus Christ, I didn't even know about that shit.
