I picked this up last year I think. One boring afternoon I started reading and before I knew it I spent most of it reading this. Which is atypical of me, since I can't say it's my favored genre or that I randomly start reading anything like that. Anyway, it's an original webtoon. 108 chapters were released, 75 translated. I stopped at around 60 to let the chapters pile up, since releases were pretty random at the time. All the info is in the link. **http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=72814

      –--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      Desciption**

The year is 2014, a new substance, SDE01, commonly referred to as "Mana" is discovered by a group of Russian scientists. The world plunges into a development race to find uses of this new seemingly unlimited source of energy that cannot be seen or felt. _16 years after the discovery, it's now the self-proclaimed Age of Magic, where you can download an App to your very phone and cast magic. However, heavy restrictions have been imposed over the available spells, and the required paperwork to even use a high level spell are astronomic.

Among the citizens of this new world, a red robed mysterious man seems capable of wielding extremely powerful magic in a way that should not be possible. It's unknown what his aim is or what he wants to accomplish. All that's known about this mysterious person is that he has been using forbidden level spells to kill evil-doers throughout the city.

But detective Kim is in charge of catching this murderer/hero. And he doesn't plan on giving up._ **–-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------**So, anyone read this? Thoughts?
P.S. Aplogies if there was an existing thread, couldn't find it.

P.P.S. Seriously? Nobody? Well, it's not well known but it's really interesting when you start reading and the story develops a lot with time. The author's take on magic in the futuristic surrounding is what piqued my interest, but the story offers a lot more.

I have put it on my wish list but I forgot why. I guess I will give it a try. The problem with webcomics is that they tend to have a very slow pace after a while, is that the case for this one ?

I'm in the process of catching up on the last 100 or so chapters of Reborn I never read, but this'll be next on my list.

Praise our king, First fist of the Sea, DonMarimo DoBuggino exploring Bonesbeard.

If someone seriously claimed that Whitebeard was running a vibrator business as his second job you'd ignore him as a troll.

I'd have to read it again in full to give you a good answer. When I started reading 37 chapters were up. Then I read them once a week or less until around 60. Since I have a lot of work to do, I figured I'd just let some chapters pile up. Parts of it were almost painfully slow when reading weekly, yes.
Anyway, it takes some time for the story to really heat up, but it's worth it.

I started reading it couple of years back, but it didn't interest me enough to keep reading. I think I stopped a little after that kid with dynamite sticks got introduced. Well, I just might go and read it, now that it's finished.

I look forward to the impressions on CotDS since I've yet to encounter anyone who reads it. Never thought it would be possible, in this world and age. 👅

Honestly I wouldn't waste to much time on Reborn. I'm not sure I have seen you in the Seven Deadly Sins threads, I'm pretty sure you would like it.

Oh I read first 5 or 6 chapters, and it was interesting. Only reason I stopped was th e fact there were only 20-30 chapters out at the time. I might read it now since there's close to 70.

Well, it's off break now. Last chapter translated is #97. Really loving what the author does with mage battles. Any move, even the most basic one, can decide the outcome.

If anyone cares, that is. :ninja:
