As much as I'd love to see Arnold back, and I'll probably still enjoy it because I love the series idea, I still want the franchise to just die already.

I know I shouldn't question logic and we've only got 2 miliseconds of footage of Ahhhnoold….but...
shouldn't they CG him to look a little younger like they did with Bruce Willis in that one movie? It doesn't make any sense in the Terminator world to have a robot that ages even though clearly he does in the first three movies (but the changes are not as jarring compared to this new film). But still, it will be kinda weird seeing an "older" terminator.

oh…completely forgot about that detail (and it's a fairly vital one too. Just shows how much I remember the films). So I suppose it is possible for Terminators to get older and slightly fatter.
I really need to rewatch these things but...naturally I'm only compelled to watch the first two.

If you liked him there you should see his work in Korean films.
He is fantastic as laconic badass in action flicks.

Except you know…hopefully fun in a goofy sort of way. Because Expendables 2 (or heck any of them) was a flat out complete bore.
It's kinda sad the new generation doesn't have their iconic AHNOLD. He's a cinematic treasure that can't ever be replicated. (And Dwayne Johnson tries so hard but...he can't hold a candle to the guy. He just can't.) At least we can see Old Man Ahnold at his element here in this film.

Not like the Terminator franchise is a shining beacon of perpetual quality anymore or anything. No one cares. It'll be disposable and forgotten in a week or two, just like the last one or the other films in the Predator franchise… but at least it has a couple decent actors in it.

Perhaps, it's because T2 is timeless classic for some reason for everyone, who remembers private movie theaters of 90s and translators with nasal voices.

Have you seen leaked script? It sounds like something between Last of Us and Plan 9 and I'm pretty sure it does trump Alien 4 with it's epic twists.
And it also has that guy from A Good Day to Die Hard and Divergent which is instantly eww.

Looks decent to me. If they crammed all the requisite "old film references" into the trailer to… you know, cram them into the trailer, so that the actual 2 hour film has a whopping 3 referential lines, that's fine.
Thrown off by Arnie being Arnie but Sarah and Kyle not being their respective actors though. Actress playing Sarah aint doing it for me.

Although Terminator Salvation was a remarkably "meh" movie, the most memorable thing it had going for it was Christian Bale as John Connor (NOT because he was any good a the role but the whole stint he made about getting screen time rather than just a voice on the radio). So now I've got Christian Bale as John Connor stuck in my head. And considering how none of the new actors playing their respective roles look nothing like how I remember them (ESPECIALLY with Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor...I mean...UGH.)

PS: Isn't the plot for Terminator already batshit nonsense by this point? I'm pretty sure there is a wonky chart out there that details what a confusing mess this is. Yeah..I'm sure this movie isn't going to help with that much.

I really don't think I could disagree more with that, unless you can point me to something that she has been great in? (Genuinely curious, not being a dick) I think it is less obvious in something like Game of Thrones, where all she is asked to do is over-enunciate and look at child corpses like they are a really complicated Korean BBQ menu.
Even though I don't like her, I wonder if it is unfair to put her in this role, it just seems a little out of her wheel-house.
Game of Thrones is really all my experience with her which I think she's perfectly fine in though I agree it isn't the most challenging of roles.. Here, she looks just terrible though. Even her line delivery sounds clunky, is it because she's not used to talking with an American accent?
So they send a Terminator back to when Sarah Connor was a kid, so that he can protect her and raise her to be a bad-ass? Maybe Skynet should try to kill her Grandmother next.

2nd movie left it kind of open, unless they had used that ending which was never used - in which Judgement day never came, John grew up, became a senator and prevented the Skynet thing from ever coming into being…
3 just did what was always going to happen but at a later date, with a whiney and annoying John Connor.

I was disappointed too. I know everyone wants to get in on Hollywood blockbuster action, but I don't know if this will be good for him.
