Based on the spoilers, I was thinking Diamante ability would be something forced that would require some ridiculous ideas to be used in battle (coughcoughViolacough), but it turned out to be pretty amazing.

The factbook that claimed Sabo was dead was not written by Oda himself, it was written by one of his editors who was a blatant liar and a complete jackass who didn't know how to interpret the clear hints in the story that were alluding to Sabo being alive. Dragon saved him, treated his wounds, and made him a revolutionary. And now he's there, with Koala who also joined the revolutionaries, mourning Ace's death and wanting to pay his respects to him by taking his old Devil Fruit.

Well, since Doflamingo noticed that Luffy isn't in the arena anymore, it's kinda of obvious that he'll start reviewing everything that he once thought he got right about his plan. Although, Luffy will probably get to his room before he has any chance to recalculate everything.

I'm beginning to understand your love for Diamante. He was awesome in so many ways in this week's chapter that I'm left with nothing but admiration for him.
Lao G too was hilarious. Him trying to be some kind of super hero while in contrast his legs were shaking during his entrance pose and the need for his reading glasses made him one lovable geezer.
And lastly there's Pica of course. One hell of a man; both huge and immensely intimidating. As to what his ability might be; I'd probably agree with the general consensus of this thread and go for earth/clay Logia. It's a 'plain' yet solid possibility. No need for extravagant powers in Pica's case.

the choki-choki no mi makes everything inazuma cuts behave like paper,thus he is able to fold and manipulate it.also it's not really clear if his power makes him able to cut everything…the hardest thing we have seen him cut is rock,and in the explanation ivankov gives about his fruit,he said nothing about being "able to cut everything"
the only difference with Diamante's fruit,is that diamante doesn't need to cut something to manipulate it...and that it is associated with cloth instead of paper..but the end result is the same.

We know the power is inside the first bite, but we don't know if there is a window of time, say a couple seconds or even a couple minutes, between the eating and the showing of the first effects. Secondly, being a logia we're talking about, the eater may even need to willingly activate the DF, which may take a while to understand how to.
Now, from the five contestants, Barto and Diamante are out because they have already a DF, meaning they can't eat this one. Only Sabo, Jesus and Rebecca are left. We know for sure Rebecca isn't a DF user, but we know shit at the moment regarding either Sabo or Jesus.
More so, they would need to reach on the back of a fighting fish and open the chest. The chest could be empty; it could even have some sort of trap, because why not. During the time they do so, someone else could attack them, forcing them to either jump off the fish's back, or to fall into water.
It's not that simple as to grab, eat, fly away. -

If the pika/peeker person/thing knows Vergo-like Haki, it'll be a threat even to Luffy and Zoro (not that they can't overcome it anyway, but saying it's possible to be harder than it looks, even for the metal-cutting Zoro and rubber-Haki-master Luffy).

I've already had to make my peace with it lol.
I'm sure Pica will put up a good fight up until Luffy ups his game. Pretty much just like Blueno.
Of course, this is if Zoro doesn't just tell Luffy to run ahead and that he'll deal with Clayface

If he fights Zoro it'll be a particularly close match, Zoro's first actual fight pre-timeskip.
If he fights Luffy it just makes sense that he won't go all out. If it takes a lot of effort to beat an officer, what chance does he have against Doffy?

how would it be close match? Zoro is beast, this guy is just an officer. A fight with him shouldn't last longer than 1 chapter. I know that we still don't know ho's true strength yet but I have a hunch that it's his size.this will be like the fight with the dragon.
Sanji was pretty evenly matched with Vergo during their skirmish.
Vergo is the same rank as Pica.
Therefore, logically Pica will fight evenly with Zoro.
"Just" an officer.
He's essentially the same position in relation to the big boss as all of Zoro's previous opponent's have been.
Zoro will not push him over.

I think that in this thread and the spoilers we've disproven any idea of comparing character strengths by who they've beaten before, since everyone has different powers, etc. (Even if some of it originated from discussions started by a troll in the spoilers)
