I'm with Kyros = Toy Soldier, with his only injury being the one that took his leg.
Winner of Block D Poll

I really doubt the person getting up is one of the six people we saw unconscious.
"Wow Rebecca is out cold haha just kidding no she's not"
-
Rebecca is the one who is up. Maybe Cavendish can still get up a few second after to give a decent fight wile being ashamed to have go down so easily. But for now I'm expecting only Rebecca to get up and win the round like that. And I'm certain the attack was't from her.

i dont think its haki…sabo made a remark about something like this happening before....i think its some kind of speed burst manifested by either one of the contestants in d block. though i really hope our next mystery guy was someone who was already introduced before!
Now let's take note characters who can move at extreme speed.
1. Speed Jiru - yeah he is pretty fast but i think its impossible that he is our next guy
2. The next admiral - this is the least probability but we have seen that a vice-admiral (Maynard) joined the tournament. so i think there is a little possibility that our next guy is the admiral or a marine officer
3. The Seventh Schichibukai - lot are saying that the last member of royal schichibukai is in dressrosa now, if its true then at least he would make a grand entrance in the d block right?
4. Captain Kuro - of course my favorite guy. So far in the series, captain kuro is one of the pirates who can move at speed no one can see. he cant even control his speed right, taking into his rampage even his nakamas. But there's a timeskip. it would be wise to assume that he already controlled his abilities. I think it would be great if Kuro shows up to be our next myster guy. (there even a possiblity that he is the seventh schichibukai! okay2x i know everyone favors Enel for the spot)Haha..i think that would be all!
-
Shichibukai Buggy :)
-
hope its kuro! he can move at extreme speed!

I picked meadows but I could def see it being Rebecca….. long shot (real long shot) some super powerful dwarf who entered illegally only because who else could sabo's comment have been meant for (they have super speed and are pretty capable of taking out people , would probably be known to revolutionary's and it would make sense he didn't notice them at first and had no clue what happened)
-
It's Lucky Roo, the fastest man in the world :ninja:
-
Whoa, that's his name? I never knew. How did I miss it?
Well, yes.
He does not fit the art style of Meadows though. Shame.
-
Just kidding. I'm just tired of that pic. It haunts me.
What is wrong with you? He is gorgeous and this picture needs to go around more often
I still think it's him but if not, he'll be back soon :ninja:
-
I don't have the slightest idea. If I had to choose one, I probably would pick Rebecca
-
Oda hasn't left many clues for this one.
First I thought Sabo, but I don't think he'd be strong enough to wipe all of those guys out and he's wearing Luffy's disguise which would be pointless now.
I don't think it's Rebecca because there's no reason for her to win the tournament anymore, now that the DD Family are direct targets of the Straw Hats & co. She's also shown KO'd (though the person at the end did get up). If Rebecca has the haoshoku haki or any other type of hidden power I'll be disappointed, we've already had Shirahoshi. The crowd reaction would be great to see if Rebecca is the one getting up.
Kyros is a possibility. He was a colloseum legend so it's only right he'd show up there at one point during the tourno (should he show up at all). Oda still has to fit Kyros' tale in somewhere within the many plotlines for this arc. He might have already done so if Kyros is the Toy Soldier like some have said.
Then there's this Meadows guy who is a good bet considering every other shown fighter has had a moment except him. He had a good slot in his introduction panel, and looks pretty strong (it's in the smile). The top half of his face is also completely covered up which couldn't have been done for no reason, fitting for this type of reveal. But then again Meadows could just be an unfortunate character who got no spotlight.
-
why isn't Kuzan a option he was at punk hazard so he is close or maybe it is another BB pirates commander
-
Going with Rebecca.
Even if Cavendish gets up seconds after to finish her off, it would be great if she at least goes out with a bang. Of course I have no issues with her winning the Block either, but I think Mr. White Horse and Barto would have a great chemistry in the next round. He is also good hype material for Sabo, who would likely oneshot him if he tries anything funny.
Edit: Woops, just noticed that he poll doesn't ask who did the attack…
Oh well:
Winner D Block: Cavendish
D Block annihilator: RebeccaI like this idea. I would like Cavendish to be the one getting up. But Rebecca who pulled off the attack. That chapter was just set up too nicely for her not to be the attacker. A lot of people really want this Meadows guy to be the winner but I can't see it happening. Would be pretty random imo. I'm sure if he was really Kaido's subordinate he wouldn't have to disguise himself. He would probaby just come and beat eveybody and dip out. "Kaido I got the fruit, that shit was too easy omw back".
-
I really like the idea that Meadows is CP0. Those guys seem like such a throw away mention at the moment, because I, and I'm pretty sure everyone else, keeps forgetting that they showed up for a split second. Sabo, being a Revolutionary, would probably be somewhat privy to the abilities of such a cryptic group, while not really knowing everything. The Colosseum may be a bit to public of a venue for one of them to be showing up, but I'm really just waiting for those guys to come back into the story because just about nothing's been done with them other than when they walked by.
-
Rebeca because the entire story and message of this chapter is strength and growth and unless she shows that mr. solider as she has failed and I dont think that will happen…
-
Not actually trying to joke, isn't there a possibility for it to be Acilia? She suddenly struck up an alliance with Rebecca a couple of chapters, but we never got any reason. This chapter, Rebecca is on her own again, and Acilia is nowhere to be seen - not even among the K.O.'ed people. She's just as mysterious as Meadows at this point. Of course, it is a bit counterproductive to knock out your own ally, but it could have been a lie to gain Rebecca's trust.
It may have been on purpose that we were more or less kept in the dark about what happened in Block D. Rebecca is basically the only one we have seen fight for more than one single panel which is certainly not much compared to the last two blocks. A hyped guy like Cavendish wasn't even seen fighting before he was defeated.

Honestly, Acila has a .01 % of being the winner. You make good points but how is the plot going to benefit from Acila being the winner? My guess is that the winner is an unintroduced character. Either a marine or pirate considering that Sabo is already competing.
-
I think Enel could have been behind this too. He's very fast, after all.
Kuro should also be an option, as well as Kizaru.
And we can't forget the Yeti Cool Brothers either.
King Cannon I generally think of you as being With It.
Generally.
-
Was thinking that maybe Meadows had the zoan cheetah fruit but it looks like the animal hood he's wearing his just a generic type of spotted cat.
-
he is a man that has an affiliation with the underground world….like doflamingo...my best guess would be kuzan...in recent episodes, he admitted that he has an affiliation w/ the underground world and he is a pretty big shot to be a mediocre
-
I wonder why people don't believe that Cavendish can dish out all this damage. He has a high bounty and seems worthy of having rumors spread about him. After all, he blocked Chinjao's head with Durandal which is a legendary blade.
I just don't see him going down easily after all his barking. Oda has already made a fodder out of characters like Bellamy and Duval who behave like this but this guy seems to at least have a muscle to his cocky attitude.
-
I've been saying that all long.
-
This is going to be some sort of next new nakama-thread, ain`t it.
And it has two weeks to develop into real madness ^^ -
Crap… That's way too long of a time for this sort of cliffhanger.
He's gone on and done it again. Damn Oda.
-
It's not two weeks. On january 1st, then that'll mean two weeks left.
As of today, still 18 days left (not counting today).
ENJOY.

It is more like Cavendish seems KO.
-
Hmm, the attack looks a little like Fujitoras gravity, except the dust.
-
-
@kuma:
too be fair they all look pretty KO.
People are therizing a super attack that Rebecca has not yet master or that she got hurt by Cavendish. Both explaination don't fit well with Cavendish.
-
You can accurately guess and analyze Oda when it comes to themes and established characters.
You can't predict him when it comes to plot twists and brand new characters however.
There's just no way of knowing.
From a story point of view, while Luffy was still involved, Rebecca or Cavendish did make the most sense since they've had screen time thus far, but now that Sabo is in the ring and Luffy's action is moving elsewhere, and Toy Soldier is caught up in other events, the tournament had dropped a notch in importance and they can move onto other things while Sabo handles the rest largely off camera (and as a narrative bonus we don't see much of what he or Burgess does.)
So at this point? There's really no telling. My guess would be Cavendish because him trying to take out Luffy who isn't really Luffy would be kind of amusing for a chapter or two… or at least a page. Oda's made the switch on the Lucy disguise after this much setup of everyone thinking he's Luffy, that seems like a gag that needs a payoff. (Aside from Dofla thinking he knows where Luffy is.)
Rebecca can better serve the plot elsewhere, and anyone else is just going to be fodder anyway... especially considering we have a BB pirate and one of Dofla's main generals in the arena yet to be real challenges (and Barto as an ally who can jobber to one of them) and its no longer Luffy in there.

What if the dwarves decided to help Rebecca?
I mean a group of dwarves are fast enough to knock most of them out without being seen, and hide under the unconscious bodies or dust screen. Tail hammer!
A swordsman of Brook's caliber could have pulled a flash attack too. -

Well if Rebecca and Cavendish was knocked out by the same guy, then it must have been someone strong and fast enough to do it. Perhaps Diamante decided to butt in, to speed up the tournament. Blinding speed with the help of a cloud of dust, would make him close to invisible. Or the Meadows guy who wasn't shown when D block started, is probably more than meets the eye.
It would be terrible if Rebecca (or anybody else sympathetic enough) won because of outside help.
I got a feeling that Cavendish and Rebecca will get up though.
It would really be fucked up, for a hyped up characters like Cavendish and Rebecca, to end up getting Fodderized. -
If it were Diamante, then that would be cool, because
- His hype is actually worthy of such a feat.
- He has a real motive for thinning out the number of combatants who make it to the next round.
- It would be much more meaningful for him to defeat Rebecca than somebody like Cavendish or Meadows.
But it's probably not him, because I think Gatz would have recognized the attack.
-
I don't think anyone at the coliseum have seen him fight. It may/can be Diamante.
-
I don't think anyone at the coliseum have seen him fight. It may/can be Diamante.
Isn't he supposed to be the Hero and Champion of the Colosseum, though?
-
He was only called a "Hero". I thought he manages it. Doffy said "the coliseum is doing well because of you" and he replied don't treat me like a hero. I think he's "fighting" now because of the price at stake. Also, one of the dwarves said his squad have 100% win rate at the coliseum.
-
Why would Diamante interfere though? What excuse does he have for breaking the rules of his own tournament? If he's confident he can beat Burgess, Barto and Luffy, he can stand to let the winner of block D through too.
-
Maybe he's like me and he finds block D excessively boring.
-
I realise that was a joke, but when you think about it that just can't be the case. Usually the coliseum fights are just the in-house gladiators or Dressrosa criminals, right? Even if you found block D a disappointment compared to the first three it's still going to be more exciting than it has been for years.
-
We have a Yonkou commander, a wannabe pirate and a revolutionary in the finals of this competition. It would make logical sense if the 4th spot go to a unknown character that we haven't seen yet who are either the 7th Shichibukai or a high-ranked marine.
-

I rather have a high-ranked Marine as the last winner, that will balance the tourny somehow
-
Another undercover Marine would be stupid.

We've already got two warlords running around this arc, with Oda taking steps to keep a former third (Jinbe) out of it, and the subordinate of another former (Teach) and all of Dofl'as high ranked mooks. No warlord.
And we've already got an Admiral running around and CP0, we've got enough under-cover marines.
It wouldn't make any story sense to be one of those things.
-
im going with meadows. Everything oda does he always has thought it through before, he wouldnt introduce him as one of the top gladiators in block d and then never show him again
