Long time Nolan cinematographer, Wally Pfister, is making his directorial debut with Transcendence, a film about humans trying to achieve the Singularity, starring Johnny Depp, Kate Mara, Morgan Freeman, Cillian Murphy, and Rebecca Hall.
It will be released April 18, 2014.
This film had somehow gone completely by my radar until the trailer was released this morning. But it looks promising. Pfister is a fantastic cinematographer, so the movie will definitely be stunning on that end, It's got a solid cast, complete with Depp in both a normal and weird role, and the story is definitely intriguing. I'm quite interested in it.
