Hey guys, GregaMan here. I know info on SE is super sparse for the time being, but I hope today's announcement made every Devil May Cry fan pretty happy. 2015 is immediately the best year for stylish action in a long, long time. The spotlight is on DmC Definitive Edition for now, but we'll have lots more info on DMC4 SE a little further down the line. Sit tight and be excited.

Never played dmc 4 outside of only the first 3 hours or so, but heard it wasn't really on par with dmc 3, which is still the best imo. That they are adding Vergil is cool, but is the game really worth playing, considering you play half of the game again with dante?^^ Still, the game is probably still fun though and I will definitely play it through this time.

And I also liked DmC, so having a definitive package is cool, I just hope capcom will do a 5th game and not just milk some money off of easily done remasters.

I wonder if the next console generation will start the same, with the first years being full of remasters and ports, lol.:ninja:

My dream is that platinum gets to do the next one or ninja theory gets to do the sequel to DmC, cause that ended on a cliffhanger.

I think the weapon switching part is actually pretty straight forward and easy. Although it can get a little chaotic if there are multiple enemies, where you have to switch fast between the different weapons.

The holding is what nearly killed it for me, but it was serviceable enough.

Yeah it gave me some problems too. Thankfully such action games never give me the trouble that fighting games do, where I am never able to memorize all the damn attacks, counter attacks and so on. xD

Playing through the DMC HD collection right now, and I'm glad I heard this before buying DMC4 or anything. The perks of being a johnny-come-lately, I guess.

Also kind of looking forward to trying an "improved" version of DmC. I wasn't in the DMC fanboat when the game was coming out, so I missed out on that hatewagon. Time to See with Eyes Unclouded, or something.

I think the game was really good, fans just couldn't accept the new take on dmc. I personally didn't mind it, but still wish we get the original dante in a new game.

Improved DmC is probably just raised graphics settings and more or less 60 fps. I guess whatever DLC the game had bundled too. Wonder what percent of last gen games will end up being rereleased before the end of this gen.

I'd throw Bioshock Infinite, Darksiders I & II, Portal,Fallout 3, in there just because.

Valve would piss a lot of people off if they released a next gen version of an old game before HL3 or another new game. Unless it's essentially remade (along with HL2 and their other games) on Source 2.

Well I preordered DmC… But I'm looking forward way more to DMC4 SE

And seeing that Dmc is the DEFINITIVE edtion... I have no doubts, that this won't be just the last for the game but also for the whole rebooted univerese.

To be fair, The Lost Sands came after the 2008 reboot.

The Lost Sands happened in part because of the 2008 reboot and Ubisoft mistakenly believing that the criticism of the reboot meant people wanted a new entry in the Sands Of Time arc. Now we currently have no Prince Of Persia games except for the occasional port/remake.
