I loved Nami showing Momo the Sunny, and her displaying her knowledge in weather. This is the kind of filler I like.

I know the terms "versus" and "fights" are used veeeeery loosely in this fandom, but come on. That was neither a fight, nor did it last more than a solid minute. Why title the whole episode that? Why not "Tension! Random Crap Happens on the Sunny!"
I really want this filler to be good, but already I'm getting movie Z filler vibes from it. I'll be waiting until it ends with another disturbing fetishist move.
Well, there was some padding between Kuzan & Doflamingo in the beginning, but otherwise I thought it was a very pleasant episode with some rather nice filler additions. It even looked like a real anime for once instead of a hastily made adaption.
Did they forget about Owlfish? The stream was bumpy so I don't know if I just missed it…

Owlfish being the secret main villain would make me forget about all the crimes Toei committed in the last couple years. But they are not cool enough to pull something like that.
I just watched what was supposed to be Aokiji vs Doflamingo.. I don't think they should have named the episode that.
Really an extended staring death match. Good art for it. The only thing I didn't understand and see was when Doflamingo broke put of the ice, within one frame he's already turned around, would have liked the see some movement. Other than that it was nicely done.
Who doesn't love the Doflamingo walk?
I wish they would have put in a little more facial detail in some of the panel shots of Aokiji/DoFlo and far shots of Franky. Outside of that, the pacing was fine.
Oh, and Nami's bewbs are as still huge . . . As Momo can attest to. :ninja:

-honestly since they are hitting filler anyway i have no clue why they didn't just go al out with it. the staredown coul be as long as it should and the canon could be completed with larger quantities of (interesting) filler following it. I mean the ice storm filler was pretty good, hell they could have even cut to tasigi with the Kids or something anything other than a half-episode staredown that doesnt even lead to a fight

Decent animation for he most part
that iceball scene was really cool… i do wish it could have been extended a bit more to cover the episode a bit. hell half of this episode COULD have been new world hazards and the crew taking them all on.
even if it was toned down the robin fanservice was nice (ok im a SUPERRRR perv.... worry not it only applies to Robin-chwan)
-it gave a warm feeling watching that ball of cute momonosuke take the tour with a fun face of awe (the same i would have if i could tour it- and take a bath with Robin- ok sorry last time i mention it)
-Its nice to see the filler didnt just pop up out of nowhere and it does have a good timing unlike a certain series i know who would place fillers in the middle of an important arc.
well out of all that i would have to place this at a 4.5/10
it was ok but definitely not worth waiting a week for. luckily where it managed to fuck up in the beginning it pulled through towards the end heres to hoping for a good filler. and damn it toei, Stop with the misnomer titles.
I really liked this episode. Aokiji and doflamingo confrontation was padded but not unbearable, filler was inserted where its plausible, lot of funny moments.
Hopefully this filler villian is interesting and if they could keep this quality for the arc ill stick around.

I actually really liked this episode. I guess I'm in the minority on this one but nothing about this episode was bad or unbearable to me. It was just a pretty solid and enjoyable watch imo.

Yeah I don't get the mentality of some people. Its safe to say that none of the members on APforums are either in their late 80s or terminally ill, so what is the rush? Good things will come in time. Also,we have already seen Dress Rosa in the manga, why are people so impatient to see things they've already seen before, that they wouldn't rather sit through some COMPLETELY NEW ONE PIECE CONTENT, even if it may not be as good as the manga, it is still original material. Just like you should love every aspect of your girlfriend, we should all learn to love the ugly side of OP filler as well!

Personally for me, I love to see the movements of people and the voices. E.g. the new, you know who and characters.

Did you notice that Kuzan was exhaling the entire time during the Doflamingo and Kuzan stare, and also before that? Either it was just stupid or Kuzan has very very large lungs cause I can't exhale for 3 minutes+ straight
w00t a filler arc! I'm actually looking forward to it, given how much they showed and flashbacked those freakin' giant kids over and over and over and over in the last arc to fill time. They reeeeeeeeally needed some filler arc. Even worse than the manga reeeeeeeeeally needed a new cover story a long, long time ago.
That staredown at the beginning was too long. Momo was cute. Sanji's glare in the kitchen was the best part of the episode.
Two questions:
Was that ice storm meant to be brought on by Aokiji or the filler villain (somehow)?

I think it was just supposed to display the craziness of the New World. Toei did the same type of thing in Episode 575.

The second half was better handled than the first. The first act, outside of Kuzan's attack and forgetting the obvious, was surprisingly dull with an overdose of dramatic pauses. The Strawhat stuff was better with soem good momentum, well handled humor, and some ambient seafaring downtime rarely seen in the series these days.
Art overall was pretty strong, though that's usually a must when going for ecchi humor. It certainly had the most breast groping seen in recent memory.
Filler arc?
Means I finally get to take a break from the OP anime. Look forward to seeing them put some space between the anime and manga, and hopefully we can get some better paced episodes for the Dressarosa Arc!
