I don't think Dofla is down after this. No white eyes, semi-blocking it and after the huge reveal of awakening….he should have the opportunity to show more.

This is probably the biggest tell indeed. There would be no need for Zoro to do anything if this was it. The set-up itself means Zoro will do something, meaning the cage is still up, meaning Dofla is still alive and well.

it does look like he's stuck in the wall but that's a really sad finisher imo… He can't be finished yet. As some said in the spoilers dofla has to go crazy saying lots of things and be surprised by being overpowered by the last attack being taken down. And the cage... the ending should be close as the cage area is really small already but i think he cannot just faint and result in the cage dissolving...
and i know its mangareader and all.... but is there really something hidden in franky's words about what zoro is capable of doing/will do?

Awesome chapter… Really loved it and so glad that this turning people into strings was super fake and I was just trolled.
Burgess is back and the fight for sure isn't finished.
Am I the only one who maybe believe that the smile factory will be central for protecting people from the birdcage?

That the Awakening thing is rare. I find mangapanda's trans of this shady, and of course it shouldn't be trusted, so I guess I'll look for aohige's trans, or read the powermanga/cnet version to see what was said in such an important panel.
Edit: Still vague even with the authoritative Aohige trans. Oda obviously only wanted us tasting the upper crust of this reveal.

It's an insult after 20 minutes and Zoro had done nothing with the Birdcage, i think Luffy, Law, Franky, Usopp, Sabo, Fujitora and Zoro are going to evolve into Gundam mode.

I think this awakened DevilFruit is how Doflamingo can fly, he turn clouds into his string making a path he can walk/run on. Just guessing

I predict next chapter he get's back up and Gear 4 runs out.
Law will show up and will use 1 last combo attack with Luffy to knock out Doflamingo. -
After so much of waiting (but actually not really. Just super early spoilers), this chapter was good enough for me.
Sure that damn Riku took half the chapter, but man this combat between Luffy and Doflamingo is awesome.
Preeeeetty sure Doflamingo will get back up next chapter.
Although, if he was really smart, he should just stay down for now and sneak away when everyone parties.
Or wait at least for Gear 4th to be over. -
doflamingos pose at the end is awfully close to this. doflamingo will probably have a flashback and wake up for one last attack.

Admittedly it's mangapanda so the translation work is suspect, but it does seem like Franky has an idea on how to stall the birdcage. Franky has done a lot for Dressrosa but him having another moment where he comes up with an idea to help out is very appreciated.
And thanks spoiler thread now I can't unsee how phallic the panel looks.

Since we'll never know what his "base fruit" abilities were, I'm guessing that the strings are normally limited to just coming out of his body & fingers. The Dofalmingo puppet & birdcage may also only by possible through an awakened ability.

Shit I just realized…unlike with Alabasta, I don't think the Strawhat's involvement here can be covered up, and Riku can certainly never sit on the throne again as a member of the World Government, after what essentially amounts to him allying with a pirate to overthrow a sitting king.
Which leads me to another thought, the World Government is definitely going to spin this as the Strawhats attacking a peaceful kingdom, no? And there's no way Doflamingo is having his Warlord status revoked, is there?

I hope so! I would have really appreciated a "So is that how he made this birdcage!?" panel from Luffy, instead of him referring to the strings coming from surroundings. Or Luffy coulda said both. I am still peeved by Birdcage lol. But awakening makes it a looooot more okay, 'cause screw it, the concept of awakening already powerful as hell fruits is quite enticing.

Chapter was better than I though with the initial spoilers(yeah I never go to spoilers section but a friends spoiled me this week...), I dont think Doflamingo is out but I hope he is.
Kinda think the awakening is way to overpowered and weird and will be hard to be explained/implemented with plenty of fruits if they all work like Doflamingo(aka making objects becomes strings).
So besides some people that didn't really want it to be the obvious answer it was Burgess causing that wreck obviously, the devil fruit themed bag looks kinda suspicious.
Riku speech was cool, man Dressrosa is wrecked they will have to reconstruct the entire island.

Aside from "independence," it's also possible Riku will throw his hat in with the Revolutionaries.
Also note that Riku has historic allies such as Elizabello who will likely back him up and create some sort of alliance.
But yeah, the WG will not be pleased. Luffy (and "God Usopp") will be heroes in the eyes of the public

Cavendish stated this already last week.
He stated something along the lines of "where [they] go, [they'll] cause a storm." Riku publicly acknowledging Luffy is huge. It's consequences will be what Vivi likely would have faced had the Strawhats publicly declared that they were friends.

The Marines have been working alongside the citizens to save people and Fujitora has clearly shown support for King Riku. Sure it's going to be a PR disaster for the WG but I don't think Dressrosa will be forced to leave the World Government if they don't want to.
