Well so far Rayleigh and Shanks have said Luffy has the characteristics of Roger.

Ya but if its simply because he ate the same fruit would be huge let down, I think it because of the way he deals with situation, the never give up attitude,
plus Shanks told Rayleigh he met someone in east sea that said the same thing as captain not ate the same thing as captain …

Firstly, Shanks will not be intending on selling the DF. Secondly if Luffy ate it, he would have said something else or have a different expression than just a mere shock.

What Luffy gave Shanks was an impression of Roger. And it would be a really bad, bad story if it turns out that Roger also had the same DF as Luffy. I wish Roger had something unique instead.

I really hope people are just trolling with this Bentham thing….

Reasons it's illogical:
Bentham was last seen in Level 5.5 as the Okama Queeng and would had to have escaped Impel Down and joined the revolutionaries
Bentham would had to have touched Sabo someone he most likely never would have met
Bentham transforms directly into the person so he'd also have to only be using certain parts of Sabo's appearence
Or Sabo has been touched by him as an adult which means he's still alive and should be introduced properly not a fake out completely ruining his characters hype
Bentham would have no reason to know about the sake cups being significant and wouldn't have placed them at Ace's grave
Bentham wouldn't know Ace's will nor be that worried about inheriting it
Bentham wouldn't have that level of guilt about not saving Ace
Betham wouldn't expect Luffy to hold him accountable for Ace's death/want to punch him in the face. He's the reason Luffy's alive
Luffy wasn't that surprised that Bentham was alive in Impel Down this second reappearance wouldn't cause a face fault reaction/ hysterical childlike crying
Luffy likely couldn't have that much faith in Bentham to take down Burgess and feel that the Mera Mera would be reclaimed

So we could follow the foreshadowing that Oda has strung along for us, or believe that he is trying to ruin his manga with ridiculous red herrings that make no logical sense.

According to Garp even when against overwhelming odds Roger would never run away from a fight. This was a characteristic Ace shared with Roger but Luffy has run away from a fight before so it clearly doesn't apply to him.

That is totally different and silly to compare. Doflo destroyed those towns due to the admirers of Baby 5 asking her to marry them. One we saw was ugly pervert, so Doflo destroying the towns was a very extreme way protecting a crewmate.

I said she could of possibly trained with them not gained the actual fishman karate. And I was referring to Robin learning jujutsu not karate. Perhaps Robin can learn fishman jujutsu because of her devil fruit giving her unique grabs normal humans can't make. Her hurting a logia is dependent if she can control haki which we the audience aren't quite clear on yet. Someone had to have train her while she was with the Revolutionaries.

Well, to be fair, she's only been defeated three times, by characters who wiped out basically the whole crew. But yeah, she's been completely humiliated and is no longer threatening at all really.

Who else was Close to cryin out about the last page of the chapter?

It was just so emotional seeing the graves of Ace and shirohige again,
espacially with the 3 Cups of brotherhood and the sake Standing infront of Aces grave.

I would have loved to see the Scene Sabo putting it there with a whole bunch of Revolutionarries (including Dragon) Standing behind him and giving the last salute to Ace!

Man this chapter was just awesom … and I really love Barto... wasnt my favorite from the beginning because I thought he had a strange design... but now hes badass ... stoping Dellinger and laughing about him ... made my day!

Hope next up is Sanji going on a rampage on BigMoms ship!

I think he might be the first commander, but IMO Shiliew is the strongest after BB. If Ace got defeated was mostly due to BlackBeard devil's fruit. As far as we know Burgess does not have any, so it could be possible to defeat him, though I don't expect the tournament to last that long as to get a Burgess vs Sabo…

I don't get the instant assumption that Sabo is 1) As strong as Ace was and 2) that he could easily beat Burgess as a result. A lot of people seem to be jumping on this bandwagon.

Just because Sabo and Ace traded similar amounts of wins when they were kids does not instantly mean that Sabo is as strong as Ace was, even 2 years ago.

Ace travelled the Grand Line and gained strength, then got even stronger when fighting NW opponents as part of WB's crew.

We have no idea how strong Sabo is now, or what he's been doing for the revolutionaries all this time.

A lot of people seem to be assuming that because he's a revolutionary, and therefore being lead by Dragon, that he must be a beast.

So essentially basing an unknown level of strength on unknown and assumed training by a guy who also has an unknown level of strength…it doesn't really follow.

Meanwhile we know Burgess is a commander of not only the crew of a yonko, but the crew of the final villain in the series...but yeah, Sabo will definitely just breeze on by and grab the mera mera.

The thing is, in this tournament you also lose when you are out of the ring. So Sabo punching Burgess out of the ring would be enough for him to win.
Maybe this could make Burgess so angry he starts to rampage, destroying the entire tournament stage and interupting the tournament.

I think the tournament might get interrupted due to the citizens gaining back their memories, after Sugar gets defeated. You never know Oda though, but Sabo should really get the fruit under any circumstances.

My guess is they run away, maybe a short skirmish with Sanji and one of the two, then run away.
