Will it go the way of the Bulge!? Or do we have another Soma/AssClass!?

Oh the oneshot's up. It feels a lot more solid and complete than Hachi and I prefer the art here. There was also this weird line through Hachi's eyes (switches eyes between panels) that I always got distracted by. Still waiting on chapter 1 of Iron Knight. orz
I agree, the storytelling seems more comprehensible in Iron Knight.
However, it bugs me that both Hachi and this series get rid of a potential female lead rather fast.
Seems cute. We will see.
Chapter 1 is out:

Heh, looks interesting. The first one-shot is very different from the other two beginnings, I still think I like the second one most, a bit more than the final 1st chapter… but we know people can turn back and forth, and we have a nice power for the main protagonist. Also happy to see a kiss (even though on the cheek/forehead) in the first chapter, I hate it when things keep being unresolved without any advances like in Kenichi for example. So this is nice, or no romance at all. Hm. Will be keeping track.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
I take that back, pure Iron would've been cooler than mixing it up with fire-based powers (yet again). I definitely prefer the second oneshot.
I liked it. It seems interesting. Also, anyone else feel like it's setting up for a timeskip right away?

Kinda, maybe, but only a very short one, I'd think. He should've just shown what happened between walking home and waking up alone on the street though, it felt a bit weird like this. Actually, in the first one-shot, the protagonist is a few years older, isn't he? So yeah it's possible.
I liked the first chapter but I have to admit I much preferred the second one shot, the kiss in the first chapter was very cute though. Also the fire powers were lame and felt unnecessary. Still I'll be keeping my eyes on this one

I just feel that the whole ending of the first chapter seems to point towards stuff like this happening for a while before the story really kicks off. To me, he felt a bit too young even for Jump, and that combined with the ending just really screamed: Next chapter takes place a few years later. And if the one shot protag was older, that just lends more credibility to the idea

Agree with all of this and especially the fire powers. The second one shot had it done much better.
Sooo… we're right back with the fire powers. Again.
The story seems somewhat interesting but characters are really blank and seems like typical character you would find in a typical highschool romance stories. I hope the author can at least give them some personality .
I loved the second one shot bit didn't really find interesting this first chapter.
I liked this chapter better than the one-shot. The second half was particularly well done.
I'm looking forward to read the next chapters to see in what direction the manga goes.
Just going to echo what everyone's already mentioned and say that I thought the second one-shot was more engaging and had a stronger hook.
Very typical first chapter, but the series has a lot of potential.
Iron Knight has a lot of potential, I hope the author can step up to the plate!
last two pages of the second chapter might make me take back everything good i said about this series
This manga is meh at best from what I can tell. But shota protag, so reading anyways.

Pretty good chapter.
! Interesting that he brought back the rabbit with cold power from Goblin Knight.
I thought he dumped that idea since he/she didn't appear in the Iron Knight one-shot.
! Rabbit boy/girl returns? Great! I thought it was he shame he dropped it in the Iron Knight oneshot.
This manga gives me a feeling similar to when I play Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne….
Needless to say, I have high hopes for this series.
Chapter 2 is finally translated. Not a bad chapter, I'd give it a 7/10.
Pretty cool chapter… I'm interested to see where all this goes.

Same feeling here but less dark since this is still a shonen.
So the author is really going to mix his ideas of both oneshots, this could end begin interesting.
The second oneshot is still better but it's understandable why.
Could it be the hot blood running through his veins that is even melting his own body be nothing more than the method steel, iron and other hard materials are used to craft weapons and such when processed with fire?

I guess you already figured out the first power-up.
It's pretty easy to see he's a walking Iron Works Factory..
Chapter 3, and it's still a good read!
It's really simple and straight forward, but I think this will appeal to kids pretty well.
I wonder if the people will act in the cliched "you're one of them, go away" attitude, or accept him to his surprise.
Damnit, I can't find the raw.

It's a really good read, the author is staying pretty consistent. No wonder Jump gave it a chance.

Can't stop laughing at THE PUBES OF EVIL (wtf!?) Not exactly Romance Dawn level class there

Judging by the first chapter, I think Hachi has more overall charm but Iron Knight has more of a cool factor. And I do like how he essentially has a girlfriend--even though she's made into villain bait right off the gate... much like Hachi.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Oh, and the Chapter 1 villains for both series were pretty lame. At least Hachi's had a decent design, unlike our demonic streaker here
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Jesus, kid, you just finished cremating the remains of your fellow townsfolk and you're smiling?
And I do like how he essentially has a girlfriend–even though she's made into villain bait right off the gate... much like Hachi.
That's a really big gripe for me. Both series had potential to create a very interesting character dynamic between the male lead and the potential female lead (?), but instead of doign that both authors decided to use a more cliched approach. Especially Hachi's damsel in distress situation is a bit annoying.

I guess it's hero bait as well as villain bait so it's an easy plot hook to rely on?
I like it how the civilians gave logical reasoning behind
! …their rejection.
Apparently the rumor is, the monsters are reflection of violent, or sociopath behavior. The worse and darker you are, the stronger monster you become, and this is why majority of the people who turned into monsters were all known sociopaths and criminals.
! One of the civilian tells Teppei that they DO recognize that Teppei seem to be rational in his behavior, but they cannot confirm that his intentions are entirely reasonable. Obviously if harboring dark intentions spawns their monstrous forms, they can't take the risk of trusting him near their loved ones.
! While you can feel sorry for Teppei, if the rumor is true, the civilians' rejection is understandable.
And Yuki is formally introduced, I hope she's the main heroine. I think they made a cute couple in Goblin Knight.
I like where this is heading. If it manages to keep its consistence Iron Knight might become the new Shounen Jump hit.
Seems like another interesting chapter. It's still too early to be optimistic but I have a good feeling about this manga.
Since, Teppei has Iron power and Yuki has Snow power, I wonder if the other goblins will also have a name related to their power.
Just read chapter 3 translated in portuguese (I never thought a brazilian scanlation group would be ahead in any manga) and I can see the story going into a good direction, that's a relief.

Toriko is in the same boat, though not sure if the scan group is brazilian.

quick research on Batoto
Seems like it.
i just read chapter 3.i think this manga will be very popular when it will get an anime.imo it will be attack on titans all over again
Lol, that's some grade A optimism you have.
This is as of now just another promising new WSJ series. Nothing indicates it'll be out of the norm popular like Shingeki was with its first volume.

It has demons walking around, cool powers, blood,.imagine this manga with shingeki's animation, noone will care if it doesnt have character development or world building.the whole world will go crazy with it.do you remember when attack on titan came out some years ago?here in apforums everyone was commenting on how shitty its art is.now everyone wants to buy the volumes
Or, y'know, it could be the next Bulge.

And - unlike SnK - no discussion activity logs, sales, pools, etc. that support your claim.
Also: Just because something sells well doesnt mean the art is suddenly better. People can buy it for the story and still find the art to be horrible.

My BR scanlation group is ahead on World Trigger as well hehe.
