Rooting for Belgium but USA going through wouldn't be that bad either. I really liked their team in last WC, shame most of them are no longer in the team/haven't gotten much field-time in the tourney. Still, other than Jones this team USA has played honest and dive-free football and I give them props for it.

There is some argument/debate on whether we should change our anthem from "The Star Spangled Banner" to "America the Beautiful." I personally would go for the latter because I would prefer an anthem about how beautiful our country is rather than an anthem about battle and war.

Well, the song is about Willem van Oranje's inner struggle between his respect for the Spanish king (he grew up in the Spanish court and had a very close relationship with the king) and his conscience to do what's right and free the Netherlands. The song didn't become the official antional anthem until 1932 so any bad feelings towards Spain long dissappeared at that point (besides the WWII occupation, Dutch history teachings is much more focused on foreign affairs, so most people don't know what originated our country, let alone that we fought the Spanish).

Belgium are far superior so far, but not a bad showing by the US.
If Belgium wins this game, the 8 teams that will advance towards the second knock-out round will be the 8 teams that ranked first in their respective groups. Not a single "silver medalist" left after the very first knock-out round.

Damn the ball just doesn't want to get in for Belgium, they are playing an amazing game, this team will be awesome for the next Euro, seems like some countries are getting a new golden generation, Colombia, Belgium and to some extent France are showing that, a lot of young great players.
Also Howard keeps being US WC star, dude has made some awesome saves.

That's adorable. It's like the Miss Universe mascot version of the World Cup. I particularly like Russia, Belgium, Croatia, England, and yes, Argentina.
