Why do I like him? Like said above… he's not perfect, he has alot of flaws which makes him mroe human. He's amusing, interesting and out of them all I think he grows the most.
Goes through more.. not being very strong he relies on his brains more then anything.. I just love everything about him. Always been my fav anime char and always will be.

I like Usopp because he is funny, and serves a purpose. While in other Anime the comic relief is useless in the story, when Usopp does something, it has a meaning. Also, the Usopp vs. Luffy fight gave me an even bigger respect for him.

Usopp works with what he has in front of him. He's pretty quick witted, and is devoted to the crew, to the ship, and to his hometown.

Nah, I love him because not only is he funny, he is probably the closest to a normal person on that ship. I'd probably run around screaming if we all were gonna die too. Not to mention, he doesn't need a devils fruit to kick ass when he wants to.

Why do i like usopp…hmm...partially because of my love for nerdy guys, but mostly because he's an incredibly dynamic character. Unfortunately several of my friends poke fun at me because i like him, but they can bite me.

Well Usopp, like others have said, is the "everyman" of one piece. He's the closest to a quote unquote "real person" in all of One Piece, which makes me identify with him over another character like Sanji, for example. Plus, as we all know, the nose is love.

Hell, he's gone to the Grand Line which eats even the strongest pirates alive! He pushes himself, in spite of his 'cowardice', and goes beyond his fear.
He's really gone way beyond in walking away from the crew. Setting out on your own on the Grand Line? Ohh, how far our long-nose has come. And he isn't walking away from this fight to save Robin either.
I really love how he has grown lately. I've always loved the humor and the way that he and Luffy and later he, Luffy, and Chopper seemed to be such great friends. I love the lies (and how some people just buy them hook line and sinker). I love the bragging. I love how, when push comes to shove, he will back up his words with action.
Of course I don't dislike any of the Strawhats and there is only one I don't absolutely love, but Usopp has really grown on me a lot. He seemed like nothing in the beginning and has grown immeasurably in my eyes.

Where do I start?
Mmm, his design and personality is unique. This puts all of those Ctrl + C bishonens in the Anime/Manga world to shame.
His fighting style;
- Hit and run rocks!
- Uses mind tricks/psychological attacks! Wagomu and Spell is teh ROX.
- Destroy the senses; Flash dial/Smoke for the sight, Tamago Boshi for the smell, Usopp Noise for the ears, Makibishi and Cactus Star for the skin, and Tabasco boshi for the taste.
- Versatility! From signaling the others to spring-jumping a ship, Usopp does it all!
And his humanity. To be flawed is to be human.

I feel like Usopp is an anime replica of me! When I'm danger, I litterally start shaking! I always felt so ashamed of my cowardance. But then Usopp came into my anime fandom. Usopp showed me that it's ok to be scared, as long as you stay loyal to the ones you love.

Usoop was actually my favorite character for a long time and is still way, way up there. He was such a breath of fresh air in terms of having a unique charcater in something, one who felt truly deep and developed. And I was really moved by his reaction to his village being attacked, even though they'd chased after him in an angry mob for trying to save them. He still wanted to save them and was going to risk his life to do so, and then, even going so far as to make everyone else promise to keep it a secret from them so they wouldn't have been upset. And he always has the best fight scenes. There's nothing more inspirational than watching someone who's scared out of their mind and tempted to do the sensible thing and run away decide they're going to fight anyway. He's just a fantastic character.

I like Usopp because he is so normal. If you were being chased by Chuu or being shot at, you'd run for the hills too. He isn't a monster in combat and just uses lies, trickery, his tools and the surroundings to defeat his opponent.
And he does have his really awesome moments like when he took a 4 ton bat to the face and got back up and there is always his skills with art and inventions.

I don't think he's really unloved, Usopp has a lot of a fans, they just aren't as numerous as others. I think this will change over time. A lot more people have come to appreciate him later in the story than in the beginning. You know, more sophisticated tastes have to be developed. Like fine wine.

When I first saw Usopp,I thought wow..wierd lucking or something like that. Didn't give much thought to it. Didn;t hate the way he looked, didn't think SEXY BEAST oor anything either. His personality...hmm...early on it seemed like I dunno Usopp would be killed off or something or just be the usual useless comic relief. I mean I thought he was hilarious! Usopp's comments literally make me laugh out loud on a regular basis,which is hard to do. But err..he's so odd looking it was hard to believe he would last as one of the main characters for me. OP has tons of wierd looking 'minor' characters,but the main guys are all sorta normal looking. And since Usopp is the comedy relief I expected it to follow the tradition of the comedy relief getting killed off tragically to save the main character or something. And there have been alot of Usopp moments close to that.But basically one of th efirst OP eps I ever saw fansubed was the UsoXchopper vs, Mr.4,that dog, and miss merrychristmas. Usopp hadn't made any sorta huge impact on me uptil that point,but as I was watching those eps I was totally stunned,the comic relief having his own fights?
And not only that...he wasn't using some stock weapon or fighting skill,but his LYING to win the fight?!?OMFG!!O_O drools at the creativity and originality of it all Plus he uses not really intelligence,supposidly Nami and Robin are tons smarter than Usopp,but 'cleverness' and trickery to win!!?
Using pots and pans,paint and paintbrushes,and other assorted household items to take down a huge foe?!? no XD even before I was into One Piece that was the kinda guy/girl I seemed to go for in genral. I have a thing about chars with logn noses tho… I'm a fangirl of Arlong, Foxy, Usopp.... and I always liked the more under loved/under dog chars in anime since my fandoms include Ghost and Ryuzaki from ygo.. so I guess I go for the personailty then the looks grow on me. It's the same for when I date. Person 1st then looks.

Well, I'm glad you've come to see the greatness that is captain Usopp. I think you make a mistake by thinking he is the "comic relief", because I don't think he is at all. Luffy probably gets more funny moments than Usopp does. All the characters have comic relief moments. Usopp is a serious character that happens to be funny a lot of the time.
And it's obvious that Usopp is a mad genius. How could he have invented Clima-Tact? XDWhat is the most attractive thing about Usopp anyway? Is it the personality? His sense of humor? It's funny that Uso is as likale as he is when you think about it! I mean he's the underdog in battles,dangerous moments,etc,but he is also the guy who runs away to save himself, lies constantly even to his closest friends, takes credit for other ppl's work, and boast constantly about how cool he is! About Usopp's smarts, Ithought he was the smartest because of the clima tact and the way he fights,but according to his stats he got like a 2 in intelligence. goes to double check

But his dexterity is off the charts. That's why I say he's more clever.
Dexterity can mean cleverness,ability to use the hands, or profiency with weapon or tools. And Usopp is all of the above!XDNami and Robin both have 6/6 intelligence scores, I believe. :sleep:
