@No:
I'm yet to properly watch this filler yet (only skipped through the first episode) but that is literally the 2nd dumbest title/blurb/whatever I have seen for this whole franchise.
I mean not counting the fact that nobody will believe for a second that Luffy could actually, you know, die cause, obviously, but, ya know, the absolutely massive amount of volumes taking place at Dressora sold just sort of beats that point into the ground even further.
But thats the anime and not the manga. Maybe toei wants to end the anime with this arc

@Saturnchild:
Luffy is not really that strong. For almost every truly major feat he requires to go Gear 2. Something which he didn't do in this fight. If anything I think Law should have been stronger
Although it was kind of obvious that law figured out that you need to hear the orders and thus was just playing all along the entire time and thus not seriously fighting Luffy
Well, Luffy is strong even without G2. G2 is just a speed boost. More speed means better dodge chances and more damage. After the timeskip, it also means be able to evolve some techniques with Busoushoku like Gomu Gomu no Bullet>Gomu Gomu no Red Hawk.
I guess what you mean is, compared to physical beasts like Vergo, Don Chinjao etc.
