Awesomenauts

Well i really love this game and have been playing it since its release on Steam. And i wanna find people to play and discuss it with.

Now for people who don't know what it is, its a fun MOBA game developed by Ronimo about space mercenaries defending their army's mines.

And they actually have a Kickstarter for an upcomming dlc http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ronimo/awesomenauts-starstorm (I myself have pledged 75$)

I used to play it a lot as Leon.

I stopped to do game deving. It's pretty good, I highly recommend it.

3 of my favorite youtubers voiced some of the newer awesomenauts. Honeydew aka simon of the yogscast voiced a space viking, totalbiscuit is a space mobster, and jessie cox of omfgCata is the prophet of the space butterfly.

The Awesomenauts community is probably the friendliest(from my experience) of all the moba communities so it's certainly a nice way to get familiar with the genre. It has unique charm and some interesting twists to the formula.

That said without wanting to sound snobby or anything I can't quite get into the game since it just feels lacking in depth compared to other of its kind.
But that just may be preference speaking, someone at my level shouldn't presume to comment on game depth when I'm not that good at either game.

Yeah i think too, i allways suck at the big MOBA games like DOTA and LOL because of them being way to much for me, so for me Awesomenauts is just perfect.

Sure but I wasn't necessarily talking about the things that may draw you to a game but rather about the things that may keep you to a game.
I have a hard time imagining Awesomenauts having the same sticking power that Dota or even LoL may have.

But maybe I'm wrong and most of the Awesomenauts players are actually enjoying the game enough to play it for 1000 of hours and years to come.

That said the multiplayer games that I see sticking around for a long time all either have a lot of depth or enough room for apparent skill gaps between players or a mixture of both.
