It was another good episode too. Nothing seemed padded, and the art and animation was pretty much good throughout.

from what iv'e read around, Toei is stepping their game up with OP. i noticed the quality began to drop with the addition of Toriko to their lineup, but now it appears they are going strong.

Good episode, did what it needed to do without any hiccups. Shida's work was a nice treat, and Shingaki's art was a lot more solid than his past Punk Hazard outings.

Flashbacks inside flashbacks inside flashbacks: The Episode. But it was alright for the most part; just more stuff we needed to get out of the way, like last week. I wasn't even expecting the Smoker vs. Vergo gift they hid in there. It is really fucking disturbing the jump in quality from just one shot to the next when a new director steps in, though. Law looked like two completely different characters in the very same scene while not even moving from that one spot.

so now that i've watched it im gonna rate it a 7.5/10
the animation was questionable at points. (like how robin fell over, extremely stiffly) but it was solid. not much happened aside from meeting momo (which is good) and luffy got a new creed- to kick the clown's ass.
I'd like to say that in the manga Robin did not collapse that badly, and her looking up as monet slowly approached her didnt look good. it would have been fine if they added some speed to Monet, but whatever. and finally…. Momo is "The Criminal" XD
a good episode, not a spectacular or great episode but really good.

Orange clouds? I did not expect that; I thought it'd be white. Smokers part was pretty badass and now we finally get to Monet's fight. I've been waiting for this episode for quite sometime now. I'm just hoping the animations are good like the Smoker part in this episode.

8/10. Great episode. They managed to nail the comedy of Luffy interacting with Momonosuke and the creepiness of the experiments. The Smoker vs Vergo scene was friggin amazing.

I think the fact that Zoro could have chopped Monet into tiny snow blood covered pieces, but didn't is better. Like, Zoro is so far ahead of Monet that it isn't even worth his time to kill her.

Both Momonosuke and Goku are references to dragons in nearly all eastern mythology's dragons, that instead of the western thick, fire breathing Komodo Dragon shape figure, instead have long thin bodies, no wings, and often symbolize/are rivers/waterfalls. Since eastern dragons have no wings, they must fly through producing clouds (or just straight up levitation)

Smoker's filler attack was awesome, but the majority of the episode is Momonosuke's introduction followed the prelude to the Biscuit Room fight (which, in it of itself isn't very interesting, Zoro destroying her is). So overall, not a fan

I already knew that but they could have put him on shadowed places to work better instead of being on full bright places.

Two points I have to rebute that, but not really that strong.
1. We know, because of the Shonen genre, that Luffy and Zoro will eventually win all of their fights, but not at first. I'd say the real spoiler is exactly how Luffy beats Ceaser and how Zoro beats Monet, and heck, how Smoker beats Vergo. Basically, the real spoiler is the how, not the what or the when.
2. I know the manga chapter that correlates to this episode was released on 10/22/2012, almost a year ago. Anyone calling spoilers while on a site that is already past that point in the manga is as silly as people yelling "No spoilers!" when I tell them Fili and Kili die at the end of The Hobbit. (It's a relatively short book freaking released in 1937, get over yourselves.)

hence why he is….. "The Criminal" (Detective Conan) he always has the shadow even in broad daylight until his identity is revealed. The Criminal doesn't necessarily have to be a criminal either, he can be anyone (even Conan himself) and he is always the same size even if the actual character is shorter, taller, or fatter. but i guess we can call Momonosuke "The Child Criminal"
due to being a HUGE DC fan (second fav anime of all time) that shading choice wasn't jarring at all to me.
