@MiyamotoMusashi:
Having Haoushoku puts you in an elite club and yes, i do having all 3 types of Haki is a sign of strength.
Anyone can learn to hone two of the styles with enough training, they don't automatically make you strong.
CoC can only be used by a chosen few, yet when it think about it, it's really not a sign of strength, since it could be possessed by somebody who goes on to never have a single battle in their life.
Having the 3 types does not automatically make you strong.
@MiyamotoMusashi:
No because Perona´s fruit worked only one way without any physical strength, Haki or anything to back it up.
Hancock's fruit could defeat the vast majority of people in the same way.
@MiyamotoMusashi:
Yes, Sengoku being in a position of a more or less most experienced fighter in the world, being hyped by him does equal that actually.
It's Sengoku's opinion, and an arbitrary idea of how formidable she is.
So no, an endorsement by Sengoku does not make Hancock one of the strongest characters in the series like you say.
@MiyamotoMusashi:
I do not think she is as strong as Yonkou or Admiral, pure conjecture at this point of course
Yet you claim she's one of the "strongest characters in the series".
If she was, surely she'd be in and around the same level of ability as those kind of characters?
@MiyamotoMusashi:
but also due to not having the same kind of hype they got but i do think her ability in itself is one of the most dangerous in the world.
So is Perona's, but you dismissed that a minute ago because it didn't have anything else backing it up apparently.
Now it's ok to just focus on somebody's hax DF powers.
Just keep me updated when you're changing the rules.
@MiyamotoMusashi:
Jinbe´s title was justified already by the Gorosei´s goal to build a symbol of friendship between fishmen and humans, his strength was just a plus.
Yep, they just happened to pick the strongest fishman of the lot.
If they primarily wanted to foster friendship between humans and fishmen, then King Neptune would have been the guy to talk to and work with.
Seems like strength was a pretty big factor.
@MiyamotoMusashi:
In addition, your point was that Jinbe was held up being stronger due to his status as ally and that not being an antagonist of the Strawhats as Moria for example, who, as you claimed, was depicted as such but not long after the same guy who was apparently not strong because of being an ally one-shotted the guy who was supposed to because he was an antagonist. I see some contradiction here.
No contradiction at all.
Moriah was built up to be crazy powerful within his own arc, raising his threat level and creating tension, suspense etc.
By the time Marineford came around, Moriah was far from the main focus, and a sacrificial piece to use.
Jinbei has never had the main focus of an arc as a villain, and as such he has never been portrayed in way where he seems unbeatable.
While he may have slapped Moriah around at MF, he himself also paled in comparison to the villains of the arc, namely the admirals.
@MiyamotoMusashi:
Sending Pekomz and Tamago was the logical thing to do since 1) as always, the Strawhats are being underestimated and 2) they were right after their tail anyway. Does not decrease the chance that BM might move, depending on her personality and her desire to get Caesar but i will admit it´s a bit of a stretch.
Yeah, but again that wasn't into the territory of another Yonko.
Do you think she'd have sent P&T in gung-ho if the SH#s had ended up on say, Kaido's favourite island?
