@G_soildier:
if elements of arc being unsolved was a reason to say an arc is not done, no arc would have the right to say im done, because story wise every single place and people supported by luffy et al in an arc remains relevant to the story.
When it comes to elements that are mentioned on the page, or have to do with important characters of the arc that haven't been fully addressed, yes
As for strawhats landing, half has been reintroduced as a pre introduction to an arc, the later half just left.
Just as they left at the end of Punk Hazard, and had scenes in the following chapters accompanied by scenes from Punk Hazard that provided closure to the characters.
Fishman island still has unsettled elements, but even you would agree that that arc is done, yes?
Of course Fishman Island is done. There was nothing too big left hanging that was exclusively tied to the plot and characters of the arc by the time the Straw Hats departed. The only things lingering were the "big" stuff, such as Noah, Shyarly's prediction, and Poseidon's role in the future.
Noah going to the surface and other things are likely going to happen when the island is revisited last in the series.
Why would burgess remain on dreseorosa for 3 days? Even if he was badly injured, he surely came with a crew his 1st division crew. Seeing burgess and blakbeard in no way signifies any weight that dressorosa arc is still kicking.
I didn't mean that he has to be on Dressrosa, but he's an element of the arc that is still left untouched.
And a pretty big one at that.
So bellamy who we see leaving and who admits he don't want to be arrested changed his mind? I could be wrong, but as fullfilling as his speech might be, i just can't picture oda showing us this one. The marines too will move, its the sort of thing we know will happen, but don't need visual added.
Bellamy not being shown in the most recent chapter at all, after being featured in speaking roles in 796-797 is a big indicator, yes. I'm not saying he changed his mind about being arrested, but he must've gone to do something. Oda has spent way too much time on giving him screentime this arm to just throw him away at the end with no resolution whatsoever.
Do we know what Aokije did on punk hazard, he came there for a reason, yes? Did he know joker would try and kill Smoker? What happened to punk hazard?
He came because he's mixed up in underworld dealings. He was probably watching the broadcast and decided to go.
Its not that i don't like dressorosa, its just it seems pointless and unsubstantial to show anything more in the main story about dressorosa at this point. But it might be shown along with leo activities in the upcoming coverpages.
But it isn't pointless. It's proper closure to the island and its side characters, which more often than not, Oda always does.
In the end only one thing of those you propksed remain on dressorosa a d that Riku's speech.
There's the small percentage of Doflamingo, there's Bellamy, and there's Riku's speech to the citizens.
Btw are you saying when luffy ran the bell with Enel, Jaya arc was still going on? Or Doflamingo and bellamy and Sarkies on jaya, when the strawhats reached long ring, that Jaya was still, still an arc?
Jaya and Skypiea are both part of the same "story". The side characters on Jaya were pretty much left hanging until after the conflict on Skypiea ended.
And Doflamingo attacking Bellamy and Sarkies happened before the Straw Hats arrived on Long Ring Long Land. It was still the closing act of the Skypiea story.
