In a tournament like this, before time-skip, Rebecca, using her strategy of throwing the concurrence to the water, would had a good chance of winning against Luffy. -
At 17 he grabbed Kuro at full speed, not sure he was signiicantly slower at 16. Oh f*ck! I got involved in a power level discussion without even noticing it!

Yep, but got his ass totally kicked by Satori. And even Kuro was able to evade his attacks and counter-attack. Even Buggy was able to do that(evade and counter-attack Luffy).

Doflamingo had heard rumors, most likely what we learnt 20 chapters later but Smoker didn't know anything, that's the main reason why I think that Aokiji is no a captain.

Of course Stronger thing is more of a joke, I don't think it's a serious possibility.
I just can't see any logic in adding 5 new members to the crew just before timeskip, not showing any of their abilities or anything about them at all, and then randomly adding more people after timeskip. It makes no sense. Unless it's someone we knew beforehand. In which case Aokiji is the only one that comes to mind at this point considering we've heard that they are connected now. Maybe he works for them under some other alias so the world doesn't know it's him. I don't know. -

I was considering that.
It would be a great setup for her story! Being fooled to think she was sick, and submerged to treats, caretaking and attention, until she completely ignored what Doffy was doing to her subjects. And after realizing the horrible truth she would swear to never be as spoiled and selfish again.
On the other hand, wouldn't it be easier just to lock her up somewhere and put on bread and water?

I do have a hope that Manshelly is different from the other dwarves despite her silly name. I like the image of her basically acting the straight man to her entire race. From Leo's description of her she does seem to go against the character most of the other dwarves have displayed.

Well they compared Aokiji to Shillew. "It was the same with Shillew". Who is probably one of the captains now. Why would Burgess have issues in trusting him if he doesn't have an important role in the crew?
And maybe people heard about BB having 10 captains but they don't yet know who each of them is. It's not like there's internet in OP world.
Oda's hints are pretty straightforward most of the time.

Yeah, Cavendish is a personal favorite of mine for this arc, was really hoping to see him but I knew Rebecca would win because of the plot. I could care less about Bellamy at this point, I only really wanna know how he helped Luffy get out of Corrida Coliseum.

That's like a totally minor detail.
I'm more interested in finding out what his next move is. Didn't seem like he went to confront Dofla. Or maybe he just took a different route. But one thing is sure, Oda didn't bring him back just to help Luffy escape Colliseum. He still has a role to play and by the looks of things, an important one.
