Heh, he appears. no worries!
Heh, he appears. no worries!
Awesome! Where'd you get the pics?
Why is Norland there?
I found these by accident while browing for SanNami doujinshis at Yahoo! Japan ^_^ some of them came with other pictures not related to Water 7 but I think its still cool since it came in the whole picture
Because he's the man.
I find it funny that on the cards Robin's blouse thing is a different color from the intro. and that the polkadots aren't the same. ;)
Oh, very nice. I'm digging the Doflamingo & Iceburg/Calipha cards.
Nice find, thanks.
Hmmm. Neat.
I also like seeing official romanizations of some of the characters names. Kinda hard to read, but it looks like everyone's favorite "hot secretary" spells her name "Carifa". And Norland's first name is "Montblanc" after all.
I wonder what is the deal with Norland? He's not an character for Water 7
Oh, man, that Luffy vs. Aokiji card is SWEET! And the one with Robin and Chopper is just plain adorable.
And the "y/ie" debate can be over with "Pauly".
That is, if we also choose to accept "Gun Fall", "Cosa" and "Rucchi".
Edit: They write "Iceberg" despite Oda spelling it "Iceburg" in the manga, so the cards are not that reliable after all.
Excellent finding Rashie.
Thank you for sharing it with us. Those pictures must be from the new set of collectable cards. The Robin & Chopper pictures are awesome, can't wait to see it in anime :)

I knew who asked this without looking. :P
Romanization is such a pain. It's tough when you see one you prefer (I like "Pauly"), and then you see something you'd never think of ("Rucchi" doesn't seem right to me).
so..do you guys like this..?
Yes, but those pictures are from the 5th opening theme that is currently airing. :)
Cooooooool
See how that little guy with the chest tattoo is in the spotlight and Lulu isn't? They probably thought he'd be a main character. Dunno why; he looks retarded. :P
The first time I saw that guy on the far left, I thought he was a filler character for sure. But I rechecked some of the chapters, and there he was.
I remember tatoo guy was in the original lineup of the Galley-La workers in the manga, and then in just two chapters later, Oda used that very same design for one of the Franky Family, and I figgered that was a deliberate twist made to arouse suspicion.
…Silly me.
Someone should come up with a story about that guy. What's his name, what's his sad, tragic past, how he got that gaudy thing stuck to his chest. He's also obviously an albino.
Tattoo-chest guy.. Does he even have a name? Don't think so.. I've actually found fanart of him (a few sites refer to him as "Hane" which I think means "Wing", so it makes sense). Personally, I call him Rufus. He's here to protect the world from stale bread and fights with the power of colour-safe bleach (he learned his lesson from the non-colour-safe stuff). Sometimes, late at night, he cries. Cries because he misses his beloved potato peeler, Godfrey.
Don't take anything I said there seriously…
How about this for the ULTIMATE ODA 'SPIT SHINED' CURVE BALL:
At the end of W7, Luffy refuses Franky & Pauly a spot on the crew, instead giving the position to Mr. Albino Wing tattoo dude. Otherwise known as Wingy, the sassy interior decorator.
I think the AP forums would implode with mass fanboy suicides! :P
Oh, yeah. I know I never wanna see that guy again. :P
This Albino wing man…why is he highlighted? GASP* COULD HE BE...the elusive leader of CP9?!?!?!? >> << (there must be a reason)
I think that's about his position in the original manga shot of Galley-La, though Lulu was more in the foreground with his pistols.

He's a mutant Skypiean. Those little wings are supposed to be on his back, but his mother was an alcoholic.
Enough about him, what about the freaky looking guy behind him?
With that nose and creepy grin, he needs to be part of Buggy's crew; they could use a strong man as part of the act.
Personally, I always wodnered about the elderly shipwright with Galley-La, I think he's the one who used the cannon to blast the Kabuto pirates. He doesn't appear in that shot in the opening, though.
Oh my… Everyone in Galley-la looks bad in anime..
