Interesting, could I ask why you chose to do it this way ?

Oh, well I felt the animation just really fell during that arc. Ennies Lobby and Water 7 was emotional enough that I preferred to actually hear the music/voices, but after that I just feel Oda's art puts the adaption to shame. Ironically, I found the Anime's art much better than Oda's early on.
