We know that, problem is it doesn't make sense in the universe we know now. Now we know Jinchuuriki are openly known since always, it doesn't make sense people in Konoha would act like that towards Naruto as if they were some small village who never heard about Jinchuuriki and thought he was a demon. Specially and the village already had 2 Jinchuuriki of the Kyuubi before. And both of them turn out to be the wives of the most beloved leaders the village ever had.
It doesn't matter who the previous Jinchuuriki were or for that matter who you are. You will be treated the same way. For one thing most of the village didn't even know Kushina was a Jinchuuriki as that information was kept top secret.

Anyway, look at what Kushina says here.

"I felt like I was suffocating under the pressure of being a Jinchuuriki and the crushing lonliness that came with it."

Here it is heavily implied that all Jinchuuriki have to deal with that same problem, even Mito, the 1st Hokages wife and Konoha's 1st Jinchuuriki. Being a Jinchuuriki is an isolating job. Even Killer Bee, the Raikage's brother, was hated.

It does not matter that people know the demon is only something that's sealed inside of you. They'll still see you as an incarnation of it. They'll still see you as something different…something dangerous. You are nothing more than a weapon for war.

In the end you'll still be isolated. Kushina and Mito (the first two Jinchuurikis for the Kyuubi) had at least something going for them. They were both turned into Jinchuurikis when they were older than Naruto. Naruto was turned into a Jinchuuriki as soon as he was born reinforcing the idea that he was just an incarnation of the demon fox, born that way. Naruto had no famous spouse to help him, no living parents to take care of him, and no famous brother/sister to shield him. He only had what I mentioned in my previous posts. The villagers' fear and ignorance to put up with and a very few people who actually kept him from turning into Sasuke.

I could also use Gaara as an example but it'd be redundant. They are all treated the same, so Naruto's treatment does make sense in the universe we know now because it's the same universe we knew from the beginning of the manga. A universe where the ninja world is filled with people ignorant and fearful of their own Jinchuuriki. Is it stupid? Yes, but it's not too hard to beilieve. Afterall, ignorance and fear are consistent plagues of human behaivor. The only Jinchuuriki exception I can think of is the Sage of 6 Paths perhaps but we really don't know a lot about his time and era.
