Basically, Kishimoto realized around the start of the kage summit that, oh crud, the titular character isn't as strong as Sasuke as the readers probably expect. So he gives him these massive fox powers to boost him up. Also, he's the prophesized child, the son of the fourth hokage and a clan of incredibly powerful seal users branched off from the senju clan, and has the ability to befriend all the pokemon ala pokemon ranger minus the spinning tops. So now Kishi realizes, oh, now Sasuke's just your average Uchiha. I need something to give them both equal ground.

And thus the quickly created and not well thought out creation mythos was born. Also Sasuke's a good guy now

I liked the chapter title for Bleach this week. And Bleach had 12 whole pages worth of content in its 17 page chapter this week, which is pretty stellar for Kubo's standards. I actually thought the page where Gremmy summoned all those guns was quite good. The sideline sternwritters were sorta pointless, these imagination powers are horribly underutilized, and the fight's flow isn't all that clear, but it's a marked improvement I think.

I don't know. As if some random guns could do anything to those characters. Was pretty lame as the whole chapter, because once again no progression and character development whatsoever.

The guns were well drawn and the panel looks awesome, but art was never really an issue when it comes to Bleach. Just don't see the point of anyone using guns against anyone but normal humans.

I'm hoping Gremmy's Vollstandig will show the further extent of his ability.
It looks like Kenpachi is talking about his sword when he says "he's beginning to enjoy himself, too". Closest thing I can think of is Ikkaku's Bankai, Hozukimaru (yeah, did I mention I remember all kinds of useless info), which also needs some time to achieve full fighting power.

Also, judging by how Yachiru is normal again, Kensei and Rose are probably alive too, since the guy probably just imagined they died.

That is the problem with gremmy. By introducing a character with such broken power puts kubo in a spot where he can't just make him imagine kenpachi dead and that's it, so he has to show some lame imaginations wich the broken kenpachi defeats easily. And in the end after a month or longer with this fight, kubo writes some lame explanation as to why gremmys abilities are limited and than he's defeated. Overall the majority of this fights are just boring to read through, because for me at least there is no emotional investment. Final arcs in a series should try to have enemys who had been build up either throughout the story or had more substantial character development and backstory in the last arc than this cannon fodder quincys got. So far they are nothing more than random wacky men/woman with random powers thrown toghether and that's it.

It would have been way more interesting if they all would use different bow types as their primary weapon, and kubo could have given everybody cool and unique arrow abilities and then some other more quincy like abilities in their vollständig forms.

I thought the mangastream translation this week was just completely and utter trash-ier than usual, even worse than mangapanda. The tablet explanation was also different between the two of them with mangastream's version not making much sense because only a rinnegan can completely decipher the statue, along with mangastream opting for "Night Guy" for the final move instead of "Night Ga" which translates to Night Moth, which is a pretty heavy mistranslation even if Gai uses as its first character "moth."

Anyway Kishi just needed not just figurative parallels but literal parallel lines in the story so Sasuke got thrown in there.

It might sound really stupid but I thought that when the sage of six path would appear this war might get a bit more interesting. I started watching Naruto a long time ago and have many memories associated with it, that's why I wanted it to at least have a decent ending. This war has been terrible but I thought that a decent ending might still be possible. Any chances of that had been ruined a long time ago but with chapter, with the final, potentially interesting sub-plot of Sage Of Six Paths ruined, I had to face reality, hence the bad aftertaste.

Solid Ep this week from the Naruto Anime, glad to see we got out of shitty filler girl filler and back to enjoyable implied filler.

Opening was ok, ending was bleh, last one was far better.
