I wonder how much of a boost Ajin will end up getting from the anime… it's getting simulcast on Netflix too.
-
It's sad to see how much bleach declined:/ Has it really gotten that bad to the Japanese people? or is it the lack of advertisement and anime? Hmmmmmm

Just bad story (16 characters)

Still edges out stuff like Gintama, even without an anime.
And while it's declined overall, many more of my high school students here enjoy it than I realized.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Another thing to keep in mind is that while sales are important, something that doesn't get factored into a series popularity are manga rentals, to the best of my knowledge.
Also, the resell culture for used manga is much different when compared to the states and other markets.
Again, open acknowledgement that BLEACH's popularity has obviously declined. But a series is more than just sales, and that goes for any series.

Also, the resell culture for used manga is much different when compared to the states and other markets.
Again, open acknowledgement that BLEACH's popularity has obviously declined. But a series is more than just sales, and that goes for any series.
Yeah I know its still popular and the sales are still great, But It's frustrating to see the decline over the years. It used to sell 500k in one week and now it struggles to reach 500k Mark. Bleach has so many problems and its not perfect, But its still enjoyable and should sell more than that.

I don't know if Kubo himself cares.

I don't know if Kubo himself cares.
Why wouldn't he care? every author wants his series to be successful

That's highly false unless you approach Bleach with "soo bad that it's good" logic then probably yes.

50. Orange #4 (22,124 / 603,11)Damn, is the Orange older volume sales charting from the film, or just because the final volume got released? btw the top one is a typo; volume #5 not #15.
And Nisekoi sales seem like they're dipping quite a bit from last volume.

Well that is your opinion cuz many people including me find it enjoyable and exciting to read every week

Only hardcore Bleach fans enjoy the series from what i have seen online.

I feel bad for Bleach fans since they have to wait a month for something actually happens.

And here is top 100 best selling volumes on 2015:
-
Thumbs up for OP, AoT, TG (though I've fallen behind), OPM, Noragami and MHA - looks like MHA actually did really well considering it's so new.
-
Does anyone have any year-in-review sales data from before 2008? That's as far back as I can find, for 2007 Oricon just has the top 10 volumes, but I'd like to see it by series.
I ask because I was going through the years, and noticed that 2008 and 2009 seemed like low-selling years, compared to the rest. One Piece, the top seller of 2008 with nearly 6 million, wouldn't have even made it to the top 5 this year, for example. And 2008's includes series that sold less than 3 million, something that wouldn't crack the top 10 these days.
So I'm wondering if the manga industry ramped up, or if '08 and '09 were just low years, because the sum of the top 10 has always been around 70 million since 2010. Which is why I'd like to see data from the earlier 2000's.

Oricon started to calculate manga sales since 2008. So, before 2008, I don't think the sale figures were available on public (I might be wrong, though
).

My 2 favorites are in the top. I'm happy.
-
OPM was inches away from reaching the Top 10.
TG increased compared to last year but still got defeated by SNK.
Gintama with the new anime and cant beat Bleach.
OP is still the King of Kings.
-

Why are you keep comparing TG with SnK. We already know that TG's sale is nowhere near SnK.
-
Their similarities and the expectations of TG reaching that SNK level for what has happened in the last TG chapter.
Or TG might decrease in sales like NNT.
Bleach will definitely get worse, Magi is kinda also following that path.
Toriko isnt even ranked…its sad to see.

TG has never reached SnK-level. Even though they are similar, it doesn't mean that TG going to reach SnK's level. Plus, the recent chapter development has absolutely no impact on the volume's sale increase.

Sorry, it was Naruto, not Noragami. My mistake.
