So thanks, Al!naJames and chpollastrini. I will keep them.
Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

-
^
Awesome, thank you first, redon. -
^ Nice. Who is that person on the side? Also, a volume costs 400 Yen ? dang that's cheap.
-
I don't know if it was covered in the podcast, but here's the jacket flap text:
"Koinu [puppies]
Kotori [birdies]
Koushi [calves]
When you stick "ko" in front of something, it turns it into the small version of that thing.
Isn't it cute?
Kobuta [piglets], kousagi [bunnies], koala, kouma [ponies], Columbus, koneko [kittens], koguma [baby bears], Copernicus, Kobayashi [common family name; lit. "small forest"]…
Now then, let's ko-start cute little ko-volume 72!!" -
-
Thanks for the link Redon!

eagerly awaits SBS translation

SBS and extra pages.
Hey look, something potentially related to Noland. Or maybe just the Straw Hat in the flashback.

It's probably a stupid question wondering if Noland was talking about the dwarves on Green Bit.

I finished with the covers. One Piece Volume 72 Super-HQ cover, scanned by redon.

Cool, I think that we already had this conversation, but it's good to remember, maybe that will be useful to me soon.
-
redon, you really have the balls to rape the hell out of your books and scan them, huh? Not thinking about buying Jojoveller? >)
-
Well I never post here…but I did my own version of the genderbent supernovas too and wanted to share it with you guys ^^
Why does Bonney look so badass??? I LOVE IT!!!

My guess is that's Shintaro Katsu (Fujitora's face model) during his youth.
I could be wrong though.

The coloured covers of the Japanese tankobon aren't binded to the actual volume, so no books have to be destroyed in the process of scanning.
-

Haha, nah. That's some talented dude from Hokkaido.
My admirals were in volume 58 (easy to remember because it's the one with the admirals on the cover).

The colored cover part is a book jacket, it slips right off.
EDIT: beaten

From Baidu.

The way the inside covers are colored, Oda may have wanted to throw Rebecca's mask on for the inside only. With the orange sepia, she is literally Nami.
-
Any SBS Translation yet?

I like how that's the first thing you noticed instead of Conehead Chinjao.

I don't get the point in buying the volumes when you can read the chapters every week instead.

A volume is ten chapters or so of only One Piece with a unique colour cover and good quality paper and print. A magazine issue contains 20 more different manga chapters, and is printed on a bastard of toilet and sand paper.
There is no comparison between the two.

Because some of us actually like to support the official release.

I might agree, but only if you actually subscribe to English WSJ. Otherwise, no.

I do and i read the scanlations.

Am I the only one that doesn't think Rebecca looks like a pink-haired Nami?

If everyone just stopped buying One Piece volumes, it would maybe cancel. (i don't know if something as big as One Piece would be forced to honestly) Volume sales are the factor that keep manga's going, though. Look at H x H, it doesn't do great in polls anymore when it's out and Togashi is a lazy bum, but the volumes always sell really well, so it's allowed to stay a part of the magazine.

Me too.. maybe except if they dress and having similar hairstyle.. then i will have a problem.

I thought that for a second, and then I went to the wiki and looked at an early picture of Nami and the faces are about identical. It's not even really an opinion thing, they have the same face.

When Kodansha asked the author to draw a bikini fanservice color pic for the cover of their magazine this is what he came up with (she's the one in MMA getup in case you were wondering):

Generally speaking the women of SnK are a breath of fresh air in terms of characterization for a shonen manga
Late in seeing this but that's fantastic. Muscles! I like this author even more.

Makes you wonder, what will happen in a year or two… (let alone when the series will be nearing the last arc)
