So… Why did Sanji dream of getting the ability to become invisible if he also could have gotten a fruit that lets him see people naked?
One Piece 712 : Violet
-
-
Violet could be the dancer AND spy of the Mugiwara…though her power is a bit OP maybe, unless it can't be easily shut down with haki.
A dancer after a musician would fit.I still say that Dressrosa has big secrets and that's why a "possible" Celestial Dragon has been put as a ruler of the Island.
The dwarves said that they built GreenBit over their city in the past chapter, so maybe in the Void Century period, the dwarves were able to live under the Sun and I so bet on a major glyph here in Dressrosa. On a side note I wonder about the relation of Fujitora with Kizaru and Akainu, but most of all with Aokiji, Sengoku and Garp, since his is very major.
Obviously I'm curious about Fujitora devil's fruit. -
Surprisingly at this current time, out of all the "sexy girls" in the Donquixote Pirates, Baby 5 is the only one who hasn't truly expressed fear of Doflamingo.
I love how Violet has to do that hand mask just to see into people's minds. I wonder how in the world she found out that you have to do that position just to see into the minds of others.
Or maybe Vegapunk's handy Devil Fruit book came into play again.
Also, still wondering if Doflamingo ever took the time to like a dragon enough to give it a name.
-
Yeah, like how, Franky didn't give a damn and said he'd prefer to swim? Why the hell would, Sanji give a damn when he has already said it's stupid to eat a devil fruit and to TOP it off… He has the ability to use flames! You're just a split head.
Don't worry, he's a split head so you won't have to call him anything but S.T.U.P.I.D.
Aren't you the leader of the Violet for Nakama camp? That says enough about your credibility.
-
And next week: The Sunny!
-
Btw, if it was Duval on Sanji's scene…
!
-
Aren't you the leader of the Violet for Nakama camp? That says enough about your credibility.
Me not saying anything about her joining shows proof that you're a split head.
Btw, if it was Duval on Sanji's scene…
This made me laugh my ass off… Yeah, that would probably fail for, Duval.
-
Btw, if it was Duval on Sanji's scene…
I have no doubt some people here find this indistinguishable from the real Sanji.
-
Me not saying anything about her joining shows proof that you're a split head.
People should take things less personally.
And also why is Sanji such a wussy cat :getlost:, so damn annoying that he gets owned by women, how is he the third strongest Straw Hat when he can't fight half the sexes  -

Considering how much he got his face kicked in this chapter, I'm surprised that's not his new face.

Also, that's what makes, Sanji awesome.

Thatathathannnnnn
Btw, if it was Duval on Sanji's scene…
That's…. Duval for you

This from the guy who thinks you need to swim first before going fishing.
Split head? Split Dees , foo.

I'm a girl, not a guy you simpleton. Anyways, the fact that your brain makes you think, Sanji will eat the fruit shows you don't have a brain to be proud of…
I prefer to ignore fodder such as you so I'll do just that. Enjoy yourself. Buh-bye. -
I
m amazed how tough that granny in the cover story is. Have we gotten a name for her? What I can
t figure out is Caribou´s side story, I really cant understand it. He gets to the island, goes to the port, comes back, finds a massive weapon franchise Factory, the town gets destroyed, the granny stands up for her "grandson Gaburu" for the N time against different foes, she´s beaten down, then she gets back up, to save her "grandson" once again. I can
t understand what did Caribou strive for when returning to the village after he left to the port in the first place. This side story is giving me a headache. @Metamario. Do you have another aspirin, I´ll be needing one too… -
Very interesting chapter indeed!
Is the granny about to do some martial arts and kick Scotch's ass? I sure hope so. Hehe.
I agree with the people who think that Doflamingo is the son of a Gorosei or at least related to a World Noble, because him acting all high and mighty must mean that he is not a standard World Noble, but higher up. Also, I think Fujitora is going to act. I don't think he cares what Doflamingo is, he seems angry. He will deal with it diplomatically, I hope. And Akainu won't care either, because he will most likely get mad at the WG for undermining him.I actually did not find the Violet and Sanji scene bad at all. I thought it was okay. Oda needed a way for someone to tell Law about the the problem fast, and this was the most logical way to do it, in my opinion.
And I didn't find the flipping back to Block C weird at all. I think Oda just wanted to show that Block C was starting at the same time that all the other chaos was.
Also, for people complaining about sexism. Look, this is Sanji's character. There have been over 700 chapters. Nothing has changed and most likely never will change. I think you should just deal with it and move on. I see no point in complaining about it now, regardless how much you despise it, just keep it to yourself.
Great chapter!
And it's going to get CRAZAYYY! -
I'm a girl, not a guy you simpleton.
Ahh, that explains it.
No wonder you're getting so defensive over all of this.
-
When Sanji fought Absalom, he said that the only fruit he wanted to eat was the Suke Suke no Mi. He doesn't want to sacrifice his ability to swim for any other power. With that in mind, and considering the All Blue is an ocean, I personally don't see why Sanji should do a total 180 and suddenly decide to eat a Devil Fruit.
And as far as Violet joining the crew, intuitions aside, it's way too early to tell whether she will or not, let alone whether she is even likely to. We literally know next to nothing about her so far: just that she's an assassin working against her will for Doflamingo, and her Devil Fruit power. I think we should wait until at least her past is revealed before discussing this seriously.

So guys, now that we know for sure that Violet works for Doflamingo, do you think we can take that as confirmation that she's Baby-4, or at least one of the Baby's? I think that's pretty much a given at this point, personally, considering that she looks so much like Baby-5. I'm honestly kind of surprised that she wasn't just Baby-5 in disguise, but I guess the fact that she has her own different devil fruit power pretty much proves that wrong.
-
So… Why did Sanji dream of getting the ability to become invisible if he also could have gotten a fruit that lets him see people naked?
Because Sanji does not want to see what his eyes could not stand.
!
The ability to see through clothing comes at tremendous price. -

LOL, right…to a certain extent...because I wonder who the "non sexist average guy" is...
It seems that in order to not be sexist you must beat down women.
If some people think that since women are equal to men than they can be beaten...you guys needs some analysis. -
Who's gonna vote for this dude as the new Shichibukai?
Look's like in the same league with Buggy… Wait, Buggy 100x looks stronger!

I know you're being serious (right?) but I'm astounded to where this whole idea that "any female Dofla minion = Baby # X" came from . Not that it doesn't make any sense, but I always thought Baby 5 was just a name, not so much part of a unit.
-

She's definitely one of the baby's and a strong one with an useful devil fruit but seems like they're going to look alike though, wonder If the spades guy have a baby like those two too

Wow, I never thought of that. It would be really interesting if most of the women in Doflamingo's crew were named Baby-(insert # here). Although, I'm sure if that is the case, the sexism debate would arise again. And I personally don't like that idea, but it makes sense logically.
-
I don't think people want Sanji to beat Women per-say , just a couple cool evasive maneuvers would do the trick. Maybe some subtle tripping , you know schoolyard stuff.
-
If doflamingo is a celestial dragón why would they send him to kill moría? Thats what been bothering me.
-
Seeing as the Gorosei have the most power in the World Government, even more then CD's do, Flamingo being affiliated with one would make him all the more powerful
-
But although doflamingo is arogant he doesn't run around with bubbles or something else around his head in order not to breathe the same air as commoners. How would someone explain that?
-
But although doflamingo is arogant he doesn't run around with bubbles or something else around his head in order not to breathe the same air as commoners. How would someone explain that?
The Gorosei don't wear the bubble helmets either and they would be higher up than the Celestial Dragons
-
But although doflamingo is arogant he doesn't run around with bubbles or something else around his head in order not to breathe the same air as commoners. How would someone explain that?
Maybe he's not completely delusional of thinking he's better then others… his poor childhood might have taught him that, who knows
-

Likewise, if he was an actual World Noble, the Marines definitely would not put a bounty on his head, would they?
-
the gorosei don't wear bubbles, but I think that's because they're in Mariejoa. Don't the CD only wear the bubbles when they're visiting other areas of the world? Perhaps the Gorosei would wear them too if they ever had to descend. But perhaps not, because I think those bubbles are reserved for the imbecilic, ignorant CDs. The Gorosei seem to be wiser in more ways than one; if Doflamingo is connected with them, he may follow their philosophies.
As for the bounty, like some have said, his identity may be unknown to everyone but the Gorosei and a few close members of his crew. The Marines assign bounties. The Marines don't really know who he is (as indicated by Fujitora this chapter); the bounties are all good and fine, but when it comes down to it, the role of Shichibukai is assigned by the Gorosei, who would be in the know-how.
-
Likewise, if he was an actual World Noble, the Marines definitely would not put a bounty on his head, would they?
If he's related to the higher-ups then this goes way beyond just being a normal pirate, maybe some kind of bigger plot.. I don't know.
-
Likewise, if he was an actual World Noble, the Marines definitely would not put a bounty on his head, would they?
Maybe he was like a long lost son or something and they only found out after he became a pirate.
Oda's drawing of him as a kid had him as a street rat. He obviously didn't grow up in a cushy lifestyle.
-

Ah, good point.
-

It all depends on what he wanted before becoming a pirate and leaving the life of a Noble, He may wanted to conquer the world as mere human being, without using his parents powers to do so and may be the only thing he requested was to get a new identity (that might not even be his real name after all)
-
Loving how Violet´s chair is somewhat resembled to a clover/club. Though in a smaller scale than the design of the seats. Such small details make this chapter 50 times better
-

-
@everyone else who quoted me: All good possibilities, which makes Doflamingo's backstory that much more compelling to learn.
-
At first I was like 'wtf?' at the whale thing, but then I started to get it since her ability is to do with memories and seeing through things and also showing them to others… she may have pushed some of her memories through her tears, thus the attack, meaning that whales may have played a role in her past, though they looked an awful lot like the one that the Moby Dick was modelled after. Whether those whales are a reference to that or a reference to just whales in general, who knows? Though seeing this and thinking more about it and thinking more about it... I wanna know more about Violet, seriously.
Also derping hard because she has a similar outfit to a male OC of mine, the only difference being the colours are inverted and it's more of a leotard not a dress.
-
How does Giro Giro no Mi allow Violet to manipulate her tears to offensives capabilities? Like, aren't they two separate powers?
Why does Doflamingo need to be pirate? He has full freedom if he roams around in his astronaut's suit.
-
@William:
Sanji's annoying character trait of not kicking anything with boobs (because let's face it, if Violet looked like an average or ugly woman Sanji wouldn't have given a shit unless he knew her personality) has been in the series since his first appearance.
Sanji may have not been that invested from the get go. But Sanji believes in protecting all women not just beautiful ones, that's been shown in the manga.
-

The moment i saw Zoro's Asura was the moment i stopped trying to make sense out of One Piece's abilities and attacks. At this point i just go with the flow.

Can you name three more attacks besides Asura and Violets

I think she can manipulate anything involving her eyes.
-

Alright! Game on. Luffy's underwater Red Hawk. Luffy withstanding a 100,000,000 volts attack. Kizaru been afraid of Ben Beckman's pistol when he can move at the speed of light. Rayleigh keeping up with Kizaru's speed.
-
Either she manipulated her tears with memories, thus meaning her ability is to do with the mind, or it's something to do with her eyes in general as Coby just said.
Either way, interesting ability. Some say using her tears to fight is sexist. Using something that would usually be associated with weakness (by horrid people - crying is not a weakness at all and anyone who thinks it's a weakness needs a slap) on an offensive side is awesome. -
I think she can manipulate anything involving her eyes.
Still that doesn't make sense, she is using her tears to materialize her thoughts that doesn't even make sense at all, I could let that pass me by If it was an illusion created by her Devil Fruit in his enemies mind, kinda like 10+ Usopp hammer on Perona
Alright! Game on. Luffy's underwater Red Hawk. Luffy withstanding a 100,000,000 volts attack. Kizaru been afraid of Ben Beckman's pistol when he can move at the speed of light. Rayleigh keeping up with Kizaru's speed.
I explained the Redhawk a while ago, you need three thing to create fire Water (can be use as fuel), oxygen and heat, when Luffy turns Gear 2nd his blood pressure increases and that causes the steam coming out of his body due to the water evaporation inside of it once Luffy apply Armament haki, the steam has nowhere to go/escape and that's why his arm catch on fire, If a hot enough steam is place inside a container it can catch on fire due to the level of heat.
Luffy is a rubber man, he doesn't contain electrons so he is immune to electricity.
Kizaru can move at the speed of light but strong enough haki user can keep up with him even though he shouldn't have been afraid of Ben in the first place since Ben can shot him and he could just move around and not get hit and Rayleigh is been shown to have an amazing haki, he could keep up with Kizaru because he knew what Kizaru's next move will be… That's Observation haki for you :ninja:
