I don't think so. What is the point of telling us about the Eve tree, and not mentioning Enies Lobby? Everyone would be disappointed when 400 chapters later Oda says "well guys, remember that whole Enies Lobby sunlight mystery? There's the Eve tree".

This Thread and Theory shouldn't get buried!
The Six Moons actualy explaines a lot:
the extreme wheather paterns… compases not working (in the GL)... Different climate and weather islands.. why Enes Lobby is allways day, why The Florian Triangle is always dark and has no stars (one of those moons is above it could be under a permanent eclipse). Oda will use (Planetary Structure and) The Six Moons to explain the whole geography of One Piece, the phenomenons, the crazy weather, calm belt, the Sky People and some parts of the Void Century.That can all begin with Monet saying something like this to Luffy "If I don't follow my orders and complete my missions then my dream will never come true"
She loves her books, she may be an astronomer, all females in the crew have rather (our-worldly/) real aspirations (Navigator, Archeologist) and now hopefully Astronomer. It takes only one crew member to convince Luffy to go somewhereSome people might complain saying they can't take a huge detour just to go to a/the moon/s but they can... all it would take is to go there is a DREAM. Luffy wants to help his nakama fulfill their dreams. If Robin finds out there is something that links to her dream and finding out the Void Century then she will want to go and if Monet does join (and is an Astronomer) then that is even more of a reason to go.
Plus we will get to see Enel. I believe that most the enemies/people the SH's met in Paradise, they will see again. Enel was used to show it is easy to go into space and to introduce a broader history of the Sky People (one that we might need to know about) and his Cover Story was the preview/snippet to the Moon Saga. We will see him again as we did not see him in the 'From The Decks of The World' cover story.
The Moon Saga will be used to fully explain the world of One Piece, something that needs a broader explanation (in geographical, astronomical and historical aspects). Nami could use being in space to help her draw her map of the world (help complete her dream), Robin could learn a bit more of history (the rest of the history of the sky people and maybe something on the Void Century) and Monet could complete her dream (if it is to go to space)...

I dont know if this is canon, but in the op movie about mecha island, which is on german tv atm, they have to solve a riddle. Something about a white snake ant two moons. Usopp mentions that there is only one moon and lord ratchet has only one moon on his machine in his laboratory.
Like i said, idk if this is canon, but i think it is, because oda would not let something this important be in an movie if it wasnt true

this is good theory, i dont get why some people have to be sarcastic all the time when they dont like a certain theory personally…i mean, its actually not dumb...it has an explanation, even if you cant see it personally.
in one piece anything can happen so i welcome this theory, it might not come true, but hey, this is what makes the forums fun. i would hate to see a forum where everyone needs to agree and on everything and dictate what is stupid and what is logical when logic cant even really apply in one piece (or a shounen series in general)
and enel actually went to the moon without a spacesuit...its canon, the spaceys went to blue sea with just a balloon....so who can say the adventure should not go to space? the strawhats went up in the sky, underwater and maybe even underground. its a welcome theory for me.
EDIT: i just remembered oda mentioning in SBS (correct me if im wrong) to watch out for the phases of the moon since it would be a major part of the story....i think its possible astronomy could be also tackled in the series.
if astronomy is linked to the void century and such as what the theory implies, then i think nico robin is enough.

Although the theory is very creative i really hope that the moons won´t play a role in the story.
Why not? wouldn't be interesting if the moons had something to do with the void century? to see another civilization on one of the moons? or to see Zoro cut one of the moons in half at the end of the series?

cyborgs, skeleton, talking animals, fishmen, winged dudes, giants, bigger giants, centaurs, harpy, monster plants, weather people, fighting baboons, homos and other stuffs exist in one piece world…space adventure would not be too far fetched really.
im glad oda is trying to cover every aspect of imagination.

All that would be left is the multiverse and dimension-hopping.

If we hadn't already seen multiple night scenes with only one moon I might think other wise.

It is possible for a moon to have its own sub-satellite under certain conditions. So applied to the context of One Piece's world, sure why not.

Now look at their Jolly Roger.
It's pretty obvious that Oda is hinting at the appearance of "grey aliens" later on in the series.
And maybe these Space Pirates are minions of these aliens.

I think we talked about this 6 months ago in the Tenryuubito Theory thread; Astronomers can say with near certainty that there are no moons with moons in our solar system. But that doesn’t mean it’s physically impossible, but small Planets can have their own moons. Pluto(no longer a planet) has 1 and Mars has 2.

At some point the three races separated and became what they are today.I don't think Aliens or Space travel is Farfetched considering what we have already seen so far. Also those hints in the Titles of the their names Oda is dropping on us would make sense.

Five Elders Stars It would make sense that there are Aliens.And I believe those are Planets NOT Moons.
- Six Planets in the solar system including earth. 2 of them are Moons.
- 1 moon belongs to earth and the other moon belongs to the Planet with the stars.
- The planet with the stars might be the planet the Heavenly Dragon Folks came from.
- So the Theory about the Five Elder Stars representing each of those planets might be possible, with the Planet with the stars and the moon being their supreme in command planet.

well I don't think they have to shape shift at all. There could be aliens who look exactly like humans.
Like Saiyans for example. Sure its a different manga but DBZ is a big inspiration for Oda.
Or just look at the People with wings. They are people who are from the moon who look like humans but have wings. -

800 years ago, an Ancient Alliance was formed by the kings of Twenty Kingdoms. During the Void Century, they fought against the Ancient Kingdom and successfully overthrew it. The Ancient Kingdom, was a kingdom said to be enormous, prosperous, and powerful. The Ancient Kingdoms defeat allowed the Ancient Alliance to become the World Government. The World Nobles also known as the Celestial Dragons, are direct descendants of these twenty kings.
Before the Ancient Kingdom was Completely defeated, the kingdom arranged for their writings to be carved onto indestructible stones, the Poneglyphs, as a means of passing messages on to future generations. The World Government later banned any research of the Poneglyphs and erased the information on the Ancient Kingdom from all historical records and texts. The Poneglyphs are now the only remaining source of information on the Ancient Kingdom or the Void Century.
Now for my theory on these matters.
We know that Shandora was built in 402 AOS(400 years before the Void Century) by the Shandorians on Earth when they came from the Moon.
We also know that 202 years ago(from our current time), the World Government signed a treaty with the Fishman Island, in an attempt to bridge the gap between the races, and the king of the island was permitted to attend the Reverie. The institution of slavery was also prohibited as a sign of good faith on the World Government's part.
Both of these Nations are Keepers of the Poneglyphs and died protecting it, not even knowing the reason why they're protecting it (Calgara/Wiper).
So Obviously the Ancient Kingdom was allied with Fishman and Shandorians because they are the Protectors of the Poneglyphs even till today. Both of these nations have some kind of promise they need to fulfill to the Ancient Kingdom.
It was the Ancient Kingdom, Shandorians, and Fishman(Maybe more nations such as Alabasta, Wano, and Elbaf also sided with the Ancient Kingdom) Vs. Ancient Alliance.
In my opinion the Ancient Alliance was made up of the Invading Aliens from the 5 planets in the Earths Solar System + Kings of the Earth who also joined them against the Ancient Kingdom. The descendants of the Human Kings are today known as Nobles, and the descendants of the Aliens Kings are the World Nobles (Celestial Dragons).
This is my take on all This.

Reading the first page of this thread (http://apforums.net/showthread.php?t=35069) makes me want to think deeper. Also the fact that we saw Space Pirates who are most probably organic beings. I mean they had to come from somewhere(Probably Not Earth). Then we got the 3 tribes with wings who come to Earth leaving behind robots they made after using up the Moons resources.
I think the other Planets and other Species do seem significant to me after considering all that.True the theory about the 5 Elder stars and Celestial Dragon is still WAY out there since we don't know much about them but its possible.
Edit: Also we are talking about a author that has been giving so many tiny hints from the beginning of the series in so many areas that some would consider it insignificant but they turn out to be a major plot point.

Whether these theories are true or not, something way later in the series is gonna happen that changes everything. I'm hoping its something like the theories mentioned in this thread. Year ago, Oda said he wanted to create a sci-fi/mecha series after One Piece, but now he said he's going to put his all into One Piece (at least thats what I remember reading a few years ago). Plus he was also influence by Dragon Ball which dealt with a lot sci-fi and space oriented stuff later in the series. The potential is enormous. The thing is though if the Straw Hats go to space, no way the series is only half over.
The possibilities are endless in this series.

Something everyone might be overlooking: Oda has only demonstrated the existence of a singular moon in the sky. It's entirely possible that the giant model is more of a geocentric solar system than proof of several moons.

The thing about lots of ancient civilization tells about Beings/Gods/Deities coming from the sky creating us, its really not that surprising or remarkable. From the very beginning, mankind has always been fascinated with the sky. The sun, moon, stars; all these things that are way beyond their reach. So of course they would believe that some Deity from the heavens come down to give life.
Since that is the most reasonable, intuitive explanation about life and the skies (for that time), its not that surprising almost every ancient civilization on earth come up with those kinds of stories.
