Kind of a goofy premise, but damn if it isn't some sweet eye candy.

No word on when or if it's getting picked up for an actual TV series but we can hope.

So, this is just a trailer to get people interested in a show that may not happen? Is that what I'm gathering here?

I'm not a big fan of hiphop but if the show that this produces manages to maintain such a lush visual style as we see here, we're definitely going to be in for a treat.
