Neko Beauty (with Denbo) was probably the best part…or the bit with the wheel warriors. Other than that...well hopefully this arc animates better than it was drawn, because I consider the Giga fight one of my least favorites and am anticipating the Former Maruhage arc.
-
Does Giga have the same voice as Jiraiya from Naruto? I really liked this episode, the bikini scene was hilarious. XD

Guess what time it is kids!?
! To whomever was making all those comments for his return, your wish has been granted: Hanpen's back! Apparantly, he has a bit of a grudge regarding our new enemy (cute female who seems like a dice master) for taking out the 3rd's former employers (couple of cameos but sadly I guess they had to do it to show her power) and is joining up with Bo-bobo for the moment. Oh, and Gaoh's taking part in the latest Sangaria too and keeps dressing up in a Tao-Te-Pie outfit! (well, his cyborg version). Great chapter…and I was going to say something regarding how Sawai consistantly delivers compared to some other Shonen authors, but decided to keep quiet on names.

! Sweet, Hanpen's finally back! I still wonder where the hell Halekulani is still.
! The three character got that killed, were they fan made characters from another contest? Sawaii had a contest some time ago with crazy dolphin thing as one of Bebebe's warriors, so is he messing the fan's heads again? -

! The three character got that killed, were they fan made characters from another contest? Sawaii had a contest some time ago with crazy dolphin thing as one of Bebebe's warriors, so is he messing the fan's heads again?! According to page one, those three were created by the assistant mangaka and I guess they want readers to choose one for something. Then again, they were all crushed this chapter so I doubt we'll see any of them again. (then again, I do find it interesting to see Sawai without Matsui, who was with him from the beginning and is now doing Neuro). BTW: Jigoku no Iruka (er, Hell Dolphin) was a Bi-bibi warrior, not Be-bebe. (then again, he went back to "Fan Character World"…)

Hanpen works for the 3rd, right?
So… who exacty are the enemies right now? Just some random goons?

Basically a few chapters back (can't remember how many since I don't keep the scans, but I remember it involved Namero going back to base), we were introduced to all of the 3rds new minions (compared to the ones that worked for him during the Former Maruhage arc) before they started their Shinken Hunt that's pretty much capturing a good chunk of the characters from the first series. Bo-bobo's team is taking them on, usually one at a time, but each of these minions has minions of their own, thus the need for the Sangaria. The way Sawai is doing this is similar to both the Former Maruhage and Reverse Maruhage arcs, but if it isn't broke…
BTW: Hanpen was the Former-A Block Leader under the Third in pt. 1, and pretty much went on his own like all the other former leaders after they and their boss fell. For those of you watching the dub, we're going to meet him a few episodes after we get out of Cyber City...

What is Sangaria?
-
@Cap'n:
What is Sangaria?
Sangaria is a three-on-three fight introduced during the Former Maruhage arc. Basically, three fighters on each side fight against the other, with a victory coming after a complete knockout of all three. Though basically it should be that way, that doesn't mean that rules can't be changed. (there were a couple of these fights where a fusion occurs between Bo-bobo and a character that isn't fighting…but it was still considered a Sangaria since one of the components was part of the initial team fighting the enemy)
-
Ah. I wish I were able to read the older arcs… if only Viz wasn't too lazy to pick up the whole series.
This is my first time seeing Hanpen so I can't wait to see what he's capable of. I'm also glad to see Gaoh fight, I still contend that he's cooler than Dengakuman (his recurring Tao Pai Pai outfit being strong evidence).
-
So was the fight on top of the toilet in one of the recent dub episodes, or the fight on the tower against the 3 brothers a Sangaria?
-
So was the fight on top of the toilet in one of the recent dub episodes, or the fight on the tower against the 3 brothers a Sangaria?
Wikipedia defintion:
Sangaria (3狩りア): A combination of san, the Japanese pronunciation for the number 3 and Karu, the verb To Hunt. First used in battles against the former Hair Hunters of one-hundred years ago, it is a specific rule set up determining how many fighters can take part in a showdown, usually in a 3X3 fight, but can be whatever number the opponents choose. The actual word is perhaps a pun to sangria. Both fights you mentioned are indeed Sangari fights but the term/pun wasn't mention until the Former Margirata Empire arc. 3x3 fights become more frequent after Cyber City Arc.
-
So was the fight on top of the toilet in one of the recent dub episodes, or the fight on the tower against the 3 brothers a Sangaria?
Technically, all the fights prior to then are pretty much "anything goes", with any number of heroes or villains going after each other. The fight with the Civilizations (on the toilet) was an early idea before the Sangaria gets refined, with it technically being five of the Bo-bobo characters (Bo-bobo, Don Patch, Tennosuke, Heppokomaru, Dengaku Man) going back and forth in the fighting until Bo-bobo, Don Patch and Tennosuke become the consistant fighters leading to BoboPatchnosuke. The brothers fight in Hallelujah Land and the bungee fight in Cyber City are also early fights prior to the Sangaria rule, but with similar ideas as such. The first official Sangaria fight is the fight again Ukijin TOKIO early in the Former Maruhage arc, with some variations including the 6x6 "Life or Death Triple" in the same arc and the 4x4 "Keshi Keshi Keshi" fights used in the Hair Kingdom.

Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo Release Details (2006-11-15 09:51:31)
Illumitoon's Charlotte Black has confirmed to ANN that their release of Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo will include an uncut version of the Phuuz Entertainment dub that is airing on Cartoon Network, as well as the original Japanese language track. The series is "initially planned" for a January release. -
Yup, that I know, and that I will buy.
-
This news is great along with the not so inconspicuos fact that Keroro GUnso might be dubbed soon.
-
Don't know if anyone's seen this yet, but looks like we've got some Bobobo release details:
Will this mean that Tennsuke will have his original name not his dub name Jelly Jiggler?
-
Don't know if anyone's seen this yet, but looks like we've got some Bobobo release details:
Booyah! Bo-bobo uncut in both Japanese and English! This is going to be a fun January!

Bo-BoBo UNCUT?! Its a January Mellorine!

Secret Fist of the Nose Hair Smashs Everyone With Nose Hair This is a Bo-bobo Celebration!

Time for a new chapter:
! Well our dice-weilding female is powerful and literally crushing Bo-bobo's side in giant cubes! (well maybe not literally) Oh, and the best part: Death Note reference!
-
No, the best part was
! DOUBLE HANPEN BEAM!!(or whatever they´re saying)
-
Don't know if anyone's seen this yet, but looks like we've got some Bobobo release details:
Are you serious!? I am going to buy it when it comes out! Mwahahaha!!!
-
Lol, it's the parodied L from the Death note Parody.
-
No, the best part was
! DOUBLE HANPEN BEAM!!(or whatever they´re saying)
! Well that was cool but she sent it back to them. So it really didn't do…much...but it was cool.
-
Will this mean that Tennsuke will have his original name not his dub name Jelly Jiggler?
Hmmm, interesting question. The uncut dub version will almost certainly retain "Jelly Jiggler" but I don't know about the subbed version…if I had to guess though, it'll be Tennosuke. Though I prefer Jelly Jiggler more.
-
No, the best part was
! DOUBLE HANPEN BEAM!!(or whatever they´re saying)
! NO, the best part is Dengakuman playing the acostic guitar despite not having any fingers. Well, I think he was trying to play it…
! As far as I can tell, some weird dice monster turned Pokomi and Hatenko into dices. What happened to Genroh, he kind of dissapeared during the middle of the fight. -

Well Dengaku Man is probably happy he's getting this appearance considering that he's pretty much captured for the moment according to the previous chapters.
! Oh, and the Pokomi dice is cute..not sure of Hatenko's, but something tells me we may get extremely strange Tennosuke or Don Patch dice before this battle is over. As for Gaoh…I saw him in one panel still doing his Tao Te Pie inpersonation, but that's it. -

You prefer Jelly Jiggler not Tennsuke?!, Jelly Jiggler is a bad name change and Tennsuke is the original
-

Jelly Jiggler is the offical name for him in English, it was featured on one of the Shinsetsu Chapter Title Pages… Here it is now (Not a spoiler, just big.):
!

I saw that on S-boys and the word Tennosuke was there but half of Ten was cover and nos is showing and there's no room for ke because the words are too big
-
Dang, I just realized I got Gaoh's name mixed up with Mr. Prince's Gamefaq account. Weird.
Wasn't Jelly Jiggler's original name was Ten-n**O-**suke?

TakinawaTonfa already posted that a page ago
-
I know, I quoted it. I always look around to see if something's already been posted. I'm slow at gettin ginfo.
-
So Jelly Jiggler is the official English version of his name, or what?
-
Yes it is. Even though I think Tennosuke translates out as"jelly angel", Viz gave him the name Jelly Jiggler and Phuz kept the name in the dub (why they dispute over Don Patch/Poppa Rocks' name, I'll never know). Personally, I perfer Tennosuke since there's less syllables than Jelly Jiggler.
-
Actually, the full name is "Tokoro Tennosuke", making it the longer name. (remember, "Tokoroten" is what he is). I think mostly the name is supposed to be a combination of "Tokoroten" with the "-suke" that is used in the creation of many male Japanese names. (like "Daisuke" or "Sannosuke" for example), since most of the "food based characters" usually keep an impression of what they are through their name.
