Both are good, but I prefer the Japanese simply because it was in-time. Denbo en español lastima mis oídos :sad:

I tried to listen to the Spanish Denbo and…I just have a tougher time with the Spanish dub than I do either in English or Japanese. Then again, the Japanese lyrics were written by Sawai himself, so of course all Toei had to do was put it to music.

! They've finally done it: a Manzai Shinken style! And it defeats Giga! (as I sort of expected…well not Manzai, just Giga not lasting) We also get a good look at Tsurulina the Third's new HQ (a huge combo of living quarters, amusement park and a bunch of other fun things) and we get training for the main Bo-bobo forces (Bo-bobo, Don Patch, Tennosuke, Gaoh, Pokomi, Hatenko) by Torpedo Girl...even Torpedo Girl prototypes that also hate Tennosuke! (makes me want her to become OVER again)

No, but it had a Ice CLlmbers/Baloon Fighter/SSB. reference during their training.

Along with Gunkan, they seemed to have captured Hydrate's floating castle in one of the frames.

That's probably one thing that I don't like in what they're doing here (even though other mangas do it too): destroy practically every old villain ever faced in order to prove how powerful the new force is. Its as if the old villains have done no training or preparation whatsoever and are merely sitting ducks. Is it so wrong to have some "old characters" continue to get stronger alongside the main heroes and the new villains, maybe even take some of them out? (at least some remained standing back in the Reverse Maruhage arc)

But other than that, I did at least like what Despair tried to do this time.

It is a pity that an interesting villian like Giga was taken down so quickly (this was like the third time he was defeated in the entire serie?) Anyway, it is nice to see some old villians again. I predict Halenkulani will show up sometime.

That's been a problem with all Japanese->English product translation efforts as of late, especially with fansubbers. Subbers don't want to sub stuff so other people can see it, they want to sub stuff they like and get recognition for it. Right now, there are about five to six groups subbing Death Note and Kanon (disregarding the solo and amateur folks), while no one has bothered to touch something like Souten no Ken.

Honestly, Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni wouldn't have become as popular as it is without WinD, as poor a subbing group as they are. It makes a HUGE difference if even one fansubber picks up a series; a mere RAW doesn't benefit anyone.

When I wrote up Tennosuke's entry on Wiki, I really couldn't find anything regarding his age. But personally I don't think Hajikelists have to worry about age since they always seem to be around and "grown up". (if Don Patch is 26, then it does seem weird to see him "grown up" in some of the flashbacks to Bo-bobo's childhood…but Don Patch inserting himself in a memory is rather standard due to his ego) But I wouldn't be surprised if Tennosuke is one of the oldest (up there with Torpedo Girl) since he spent so much of his early life trying to be sold.

Don Patch or Tennosuke? I know the earliest we've seen both of them in continuity (such as it is) was during the big Hair Kingdom invasion. Don Patch was on Bo-bobo's side and ended up saving his life at one point from Bi-bibi, while Tennosuke was a mere soldier during the initial invasion and was of some unknown rank when Hydrate was sent to the "Dark World". (not a footsoldier, but not A-Block Leader either)

If Pokomi gets in, the best she'll probably get it support, maybe help. She's still a relatively new character and we don't really know how many character's Bo-bobo has been alloted. Besides, if they needed a female battle character, the best they can probably go to now is Torpedo Girl. (then again, its not like DB will ever get a female character…sure if they had female Saiyans or if they remember #18, but they have a ton of characters already so why give them another) As for Tennosuke...I would love to see him playable, but so far he's pretty much just been confirmed support.

My guess is that they don't want to release the brilliance of Denbo on the web…that or someone forgot...or there aren't as many Bo-bobo fans as we think there should be.

New Chapter:

! The training is over (things move fast in Bo-bobo world…compared to a lot of other modern Shonen) and we get...well, Don Patch, Tennosuke and Gaoh looking weird. (as if we've expected less) There's a great Final Fight reference this week and the entrance to the Neo Maruhage district...is a tough with a poodle. Oh, and color page next week!

Cool, thanks for the links (although that first one appears to now have more chapters now; it's 170-182, 211, 215, 219, 221-222, 224-226, and 228-229). Do you happen to know where there are raws of any of the chapters these are missing (i.e. 183-210, 212-214, etc.) I especially want 183 through the end of the Reverse Maruhage Empire arc.

Man, I hate seeing these things and not having a clue to what they're saying…are there any places that can explain this stuff? I'm not talking about places that actually scanlate the whole thing (though someone scanlating these would be nice), just someplace where it can give me a brief synopsis of what happens in the chapter, so I can kind of make sense of it...wikipedia has decent ones at first but after 10 there's no descriptions...I think I'll take Japanese next year in college so I have a faint clue what they're saying...

The main reason that the Wiki descriptions are completely gaga regarding this is probably my fault partially. (I work on the Bo-bobo section all the time). While I don't know how other pages do it, I've been working with a couple others to get the manga descriptions up at least for the part beyond where the anime ends (it started with the New Emperor Playoff section mostly because the anime started to scrunch up from there from how it seems) With Shinsetsu, my plan has usually been to merely wait until I get my hands on the volume, look it over and then put up the synopsis chapter to chapter…unfortunately, with myself reading it week for week now (even if the scans are pretty crappy) and someone else consistantly putting up some stuff that isn't the actual translation, the project has gotten a bit harder. When I get my hands on Vol. 2 (I'm hoping to get to the NYC area within the next month or two), there will be some descriptions for that volume....my fear is if I start doing it week for week now, my collaberators will start screwing it up again.

New Shinsetsu Chapter:

! Now this is a battle chapter that makes me love Bo-bobo! Any series that can go from Don Patch as Trunks to a Burger Time parody to an all out warfare of geek/hobby culture…to a super-final attack of keys, lightning and a Tokoroten lens is a great chapter! One thing I love about this series is that it never stays serious for too long...which made me worry with all the stuff with Namero/5th and the 3rd earlier.
