I got back home right before it came on (forgot about it though), and I thought it was very… obscure. My favorite part would probably be the flashbacks (what's with Bobobo's dad
).As for the manga preview, I didn't get why they skipped so much (I haven't read it before, but I could tell pretty easily). I liked it due to it's random sense of humor, so I might buy it.

I knew I recognized that voice from somewhere.
I didn't get a chance to watch it until the Thursday repeat, but I really liked it. It's a show that revels in its own weirdness even to the point when Cartoon Network openly admits that they don't have the slightest idea of what in the hell is going on:
Optimus Prime: And nobody understands him but his woman… well, okay, nobody understands him.
The kanji caught me off guard at first, but it kind of fits in there even if it doesn't make any sense. I also liked the fact that Toei produced Bo-Bobo's life story.
Complicating things since 2009.

Don Patch's voice is amazing.
I liked how they changed a lot of the dialogue so the humor isn't lost to the American audience. WIG OUT!

Oh man, last nights ep. was fuckin' hilarious. VIZ is doing a really good job at changing the jokes around for american audiences. For instance, Don Patch's "Wig Out Fight" with Bo-bobo, when they changed the Chikuwa (a type of fried fish snack) that Don Patch is selling to Churros (A type of mexican pasty dish) I almost died. It was hilarious seeing his face as he stood over that one guy trying to feed him the "Churros". LOL!! Then the Magic Wand gag was changed from the original japanese version, a parody of a Magical Girl Show called "Witch Girl - Kiyomi-chan", to the one we got last night (which was by the way, equally hilarious). Bo-bobo: "Gimme the fighting power of 1,000 cabbages!" HAHAHAHA!!
It brings a tear to my eye to know that theres such a great job being done on this dub.

Oh god did Ep. 2 toss us a lot of good moments:
-The part where Bobo-bo summons a table, two air crafts and a pig and have them "unite" with him to make us think he's turning into some Gundam thing and the next thing we see is him and the pig playing gameboy. "Are you going to play that all day?" "No we'll take a break pizza!"
-CHURROS! HERE EAT! EAT THE CHURRO!
-Bo:Wig bro, O-V-LLLLLLLL, right?
Don: That's right. Say with spelling like that, you could be my secretary. The job doesn't pay much but the dental package is even worse.
Bo: Naaah
Don: Then you're fired.
-"Hey Patches, you wanna karoke after work? You BETCHA!" and then later Don Patch recovers from the Meduse trick and starts singing like elvis.

When the first episode came on, I called my little sister into the room and warned her about how weird and funny it was. She apparently didn't believe me, and gave me this "you're insane" look several times throughout the show.
But we both laughed our heads off XD Loved the dub, keep it coming, I say.

MonkeyD.Luffy: Ah, sorry, not sure specifically where the Bobobo anime is up to in Japan, but I looked it up on anidb.info and they have 47 episode titles listed (titles listed in Spanish, however… and ANN has up to 32 btw). So my guess it's still on-going. Or, at least headed for 52 eps.
I've only seen a few episodes (fansubs), and I've read a volume or two. It's very random, funny stuff, :D. Episode 2 is great, eh? I don't have CN, but I'd be watching the dub if I could...

Oh yeah, regarding Death Note, didn't Yoshio Sawai (Bobobo mangaka) and Takeshi Obata & Tsugumi Ooba (DN) each do a guest strip for one another's manga series? Is that what you're refering to? I've only seen some cover page for the bobobo death note one. I'll see if i can find it again…

At first I wasn't going to watch 'cause it just looked SOOOOOOOOO weird (which it is), but I was like, At first I wasn't going to watch One Piece, and looked what happened there. So I decided to watch it and now I'm freakin' hooked. I don't know why. I'm probably killing about a billion brain cells watching it, but that's ok!

Oh god was ever the highlight of the episode. Couldn't control my laughter with that one. "SOUP SOUP SOUP SOUP SOUPSOUPSOUPSOUPSOUPSOUPSOUP I still wanna eat rice soup!" and throw in the look he had on his face the whole time and it just works so well. God is Don Patch ever the life of the party. The mean green soup alien hunting Hemekko whatever/Gasser because he wouldn't eat his soup was also a pretty big "wtf?" moment.

XD The mean green soup alien's voice cracked me up for some reason. Him getting attacked with French Bread=Priceless. The guy who does Don Patch's voice is amazing. He can go from perfectly calm to sounding like a girl to screaming about soup with no problem.
