Eiichiro Oda, in the manga's case, would be down 1 trillion yen, and we don't want him to lose his income. In all seriousness though, I'd rather lose the animé over the manga.

Well, it would have to lose it's massive level of popularity for this theoretical to even seem possible. Then the question to ask is why has it lost all of it's popularity. More then likely, it is because the quality goes to shit (and for a very long time) in this theoretical world. Well, then it wouldn't even be One Piece anymore would it?

If the anime was canceled I'd be devestated. I love the manga, but lets be real: There's WAAAAY too much going on in each chapter. Everything clashes and clutters together and when there are enormous spreads its a headache trying to make out everything. Everything is so chaotic that its hard to get invested so that's a reason why the anime wins me over more. Not to mention the gigantic exposition and text bubbles in panels don't help anything either.

Then you probably shouldn't read manga at all if that's already too much for you. Or switch to 4koma ones since there's less 'chaos'. :P

That wouldn't matter, really. Just think of the most straightforward plot you can think of in 5 minutes. That's exactly what's going to happen.
Anyway, if the anime get's cancelled I'd be sad. If the manga get's cancelled I'm going to cry.

I'd go to the other mangaka that are still around, guns blazing, with a cigar and shades and say, it's time for some motherfucking democracy.I'd probably leave the H-mangaka alive just to give me something to do, the good ones though, not the exagerated ones.
