Sure it could be talked about in that other thread but then there wouldn't be a poll for this exact question in that already existing thread is there? That even says 'general' in the title, while this one is specific to one question and has a poll for that quesion. I see no problem in having this thread.

ITa's who I voted for. I know it's not Shanks. Luffy was smiling so it wasn't a threat to his idol Shanks. But due to that smile, it's not Blackbeard either, because we already say how Luffy would react to mention of Akainu (he was serious), I think Luffy would react the same at the mention of Blackbeard.
That leaves (in my opinion) Kaido and Big Mom. Luffy does kow about Kaido, but not sure if he remember it
After all the only mention Luffy's hear of Kaido was from Moriah who said Kaido destroyed his crew.
Luffy already made declarations at Big Mom and doesn't have any plans on Kaido. So in my mind, its Big Mom that I've voted for. -

Now that we know doflaming is behind caesar, i'd say big mom since if we take the shichibukai who saw roger's execution and the yonkou we have
-shanks and mihawk are related
-whitebard and crocodile are related
-kaidou and moriah are related

i also believe it will be bigmam because oda usually foreshadows things to use but we don't notice until later. Oda being introducing domflamingo since sabadoy archipelago when he got ride of the slave trading shop when they were rescuing Camie and he bring him back with punk hazard. So i believe he is foreshadowing Bigmam to us as well and maybe even if she is lola mom by any chance it would be kind of foreshadowing by nami receiving her moms vivre card? i dont know maybe im wrong maybe it will play out like that . Thats why i voted BIGMAM the yonkou that they will go after !

It's probably big mom. Law said he needed something on the island to take down the yonkou, and it's my personal theory that the addicting candy on the island will be used to do that. She's already obsessed with candy in general.

I would say BB because the Yonku is on a hunt for powerful DF which makes Law one of his target. Maybe, Law became a Schibukai in order to be protected from him.
Moreover, BB somehow becomes vulnerable when he absorbs a DF user's power. It could be a perfect opportuinity if planned correctly.

I have no idea. I hope it's Shanks just for crazy plot twist stuff. It'll prolly be Big Mom or Kaido though.

…what if it's Shanks and Law plans on using Luffy against Shanks since he knows he bears some significance, and the only reason Luffy is willing is because he wants to see Shanks again and feels that it might take a while to get to in in which he'll be a 'great' pirate by then and also doesn't know of Laws intentions...?

I think Law wants to kill Shanks and Luffy is pissed off and then we don't have the awesome future of Law joining the crew, which would be cool.
