If anyone hasn't said this and im not forgetting anyone's fruit, Vergo might have the Sticky Sticky fruit.
Everything's sticking to him, and that's why he is wearing gloves so not everything sticks.Just a theory
He's a velcro man.
I called it.

@Law:
Most people think he has the Velcro Velcro paramecian fruit!
Sounds cool but how a burger would stick on velcro? Now I have this sick image in my head in which someone tries to stick a burger on a velcro
Ironic how he says SMILES are in yet the tanker is SAD
I still dont understand how gas can eat a devil fruit, or even a sword.
It's about time we start to see some background on DoFlamingo
I still dont understand how gas can eat a devil fruit, or even a sword.
First Lassou, then Funkfreed, and now Smiley…..y'know, one of these days Oda is going to have to explain how inanimate things can be given Devil Fruits.....I mean, in this case, Smiley is a product of Caesar, who is a intelligent scientist, but a generalized explaination is still needed.
I still dont understand how gas can eat a devil fruit, or even a sword.
I believe it's one of Vegapunk's invention.

Damn even some of the higher ups in this unit are assholes. I mean really "burn down a village" over someone asking for help just because he doesn't like one person? Wow. And wait…"playing around a neighborhood then died in a shipwreak"? Really? No wonder the parents don't buy that. Along with bad table manners, Vergo's really bad at coming up with lies.
- Back at the cave.
From bad to worse but then again we all kinda saw this coming. Interesting to know that the sleeping stars have limits though.
Lol, I just heard the Podcast yesterday and them discussing over the name. I had my doubts too if that was right or not. But nope this confirms it. Annnnd it has a Devil Fruit? So those things even work on another byproduct of a Devil Fruit…eh works for me. Oh Oda, may the silliness of you never change.
- Vergo and the identity of Joker
Wow, seems every time Donflamgino appears he becomes more and more of a threat as the series goes on. Now we learn he has moles in the Marines (considering his Shichibukai status makes tons of sense). Is he trying to take the Marines over from the inside or just cripple them? I also wonder if he's on Blackbeard's payroll cause keep in mind, he a guy who just does things for the "fun" of it. The only reason he joined the Marines in the first place and why he tried human trafficking before becoming bored with it. Also begs the question why Ceasar is even working for him. @_@ Oy some many questions. Still kudos to all who guessed Donflamingo was involved. Good thing he wasn't the mystery man a chapter ago, eh?
Also nice callback to the Alabasta. Was even thinking of it when I saw the spoilers, even better when Luffy mentioned it.
Okay so we got three Straw Hats captured along with Smoker and Tashigi, with possibly Ussop and Nami joninig them. Chopper still running loose as are Zoro, Sanji and Brook along with Kinemon on the way to the lab. And the threats coming from Ceaser, the Slime monster, Monet and Vergo (if the latter two decide to stick around which might be the case once they break free.) Since we've pretty much covered all the mysterious now, only thing left is the "death trap" and the climax. Heheh.
How deep does Don Flamingo's influence go? Who else could have secretely been on his payroll? Ace? Big Mom(!)?
And just how did he gain all this wealth? Solely from the slave trade?
I'm really loving this arc, but I'm afraid we're getting bogged down by the addition of too many characters that are allied with the Strawhats, unless they're joining Luffy to fight Big Mom, I don't see why Don Flamingo is such a huge threat.
Woah! This was an awesome chapter! I loved the panel with everyone in the cage, and especially the callback to Alabasta. Now we wait for Chopper to rescue everyone, and maybe Zoro and friends too… And I wonder what's gonna happen to Nami and Usopp.

I honestly think/hope it's just a force of habbit, and not being such a goddamn psycho.
Okay, Joker being good ol' Donquixote Doflamingo, I could see coming. Law and him being connected, that I definitely saw. But a poisonous gas eating an axolotl devil fruit? The food-sticking-to-the-face as a simple character quirk, perhaps made possible by a velcro fruit? The Arabasta scene and being back in jail with Smokey? Robin's comment? Hot damn.
Oda's putting porn production companies out of business with this amount of awesome.
They're gonna defeat CC.
I could vaguely see Nami pulling that off, with a strong gust of wind or something…
I could vaguely see Nami pulling that off, with a strong gust of wind or something…
Ussop: I can't hit him Nami!
CC: Shulolololo, there's not way mere pirates like you even put a finger on me while I'm in this state!
Nami: Wind knot! snap
strong wind
CC:
Hot damn that was a good chapter.
Hopefully Doflamingo/Joker's influence and importance will go beyond just this arc, which is what I'm assuming will happen, given his hype and involvement in other parts of the story.
I called the axolotl part, but I'm just confused by the MS translation; is Smiley a poison gas that ate an axolotl fruit, or…?
CC with Nami and Usopp is scary, but I'm assuming he just won't mind them or will knock them out.
And Team Zoro will likely come in and save everyone who's locked up in the lab, I'd guess.

Chopper is right there. Literally feet away from them.
I don't think there's someone who was high enough to predict some shit like fire element eating a gura gura no mi or lightning element eating a zoan phoenix. But It's CANONLY possible now.
That guy, Oda, his imajination knows no limit.

I guess we'll have to wait CCC for this one, but the other translation says the same thing: a poisonous gas that ate the fruit.
So let me get this straight.
Joker is Doflamingo who is a master of Ceaser, Vergo, Monet and Law(In the past) and Vergo is undercover as marine who is also a Vice Admiral like Smoker and is a higher rank then Tashigi.
Everyone on Punk Hazard seems to have a connection and I like it. Even Law and Kinemon(Two completely different people) who are sided with the SH's have met each other before the SH's arrival to PH. And I don't think Joker is taking orders from someone, well I at least hope he isn't.
I just wonder why Law seemed to be on Ceaser's side near the beginning of this arc. And I'm pretty sure Ceaser could be a subordinate of Joker because I think Ceaser sort of said something about orders from Ceaser, plus then it makes sense why Vergo would send Monet to Punk Hazard, so that Monet and Vergo can report back to Joker about Ceaser's actions.
I really love this arc and I love how whenever questions get answered, even more questions are raised. And I wouldn't mind a Flashback soon.
Chopper is right there. Literally feet away from them.
oh right .-.
alas, they'll reach the lab next chapter, I'd assume, and shit will be going down regardless.
I have to wonder how Donflamingo's character will be when it's finally fleshed out and revealed. So far he's surrounded himself with truly the most garbage characters in the OP universe. Bellamy, the child-drugging Caesar and his appliances (including Vergo), the slave traders and he's probably got Moria in a dungeon somewhere. While I admire this guy's ambition and accomplishments, I wonder how much his company reflects on himself.
Well… it's a poisonous gas that was congealed into a jelly. The jelly was then fed a Devil Fruit, giving it life. It's interesting, but not too far a stretch from what we've seen of the other item-Zoans.
Fire/Lightning-Zoan seem unlikely, but an ice-Zoan should be possible... I think that for a Fruit to be eaten, it needs to be 'solid.'
Really though, the question is: What happens when you feed a Fruit, to another Fruit?
I don't know exactly how Oda's creative process works,
but I'm pretty sure the "slime axolotl" was forged in his consciousness BEFORE the actual method for its creation. xD

Doflamingo is just a guy with sinister ambition, nothing more; who's seemingly very strong. Because he was stopping people left and right during Marineford, and didn't receive a single scratch. (He was just walking around the battlefield while people were getting their ass beat or dying). He doesn't think the weak should live, and if they do, they should be slaves to the strong.
Obviously…the reason why he seemingly killed Bellamy, and a reason he felt little pity when sent to kill Moriah.
I really love this arc and I love how whenever questions get answered, even more questions are raised. And I wouldn't mind a Flashback soon.
Ahaha, no. Please no. This is not one of those arcs; let's keep it that way. Short and sweet.
These are all pirates and outlaws first, then whatever disguise they need later. I'm sure they're all working together in codependency, but they owe each other no allegiance. That goes for Caesar and Law working with Doflamingo's people; they're in it for their thing. Now we know why "things will take off" once they kidnap Clown.
Wow, I just got the most important conclusion of the chapter:
Wergo is an idiot!!!!! Argument: How can you possibly lost the half of your favorite food in a meal? … Idiot level IQ, period.

Doflamingo is just the archetypal "string-puller", or "kingpin", or what have you. Of course he's going to have a cartel of sleazeballs played by Steve Buscemi or John Leguizamo, who are destined to do a pisspoor job and get executed by the higher-ups. I wouldn't be surprised if Caesar was just left to be defeated by the SHs. The people closer to Dofla, like Vergo and Monet, seem to be more competent.
Also, I don't think that Dofla had much to do with Moria's disappearance… I think he was genuinely trying to kill the guy.

This pretty much.
Doflamingo is a major player in the criminal underworld of One Piece. Of course he's going to have scumbags and the like working under him. But his higher ups, will, more than likely, be quite strong; as seen by Vergo one-shotting Law.
Perhaps Vergo is blind?(nah he would still be able to feel it unless he cn't due to the nature of his DF?)
I still dn't see how the 'kidnapp Ceasar' links to the Yonkou unless it's revealed the target has a hand in Doflamingo's business on PH.
I assumed kidnapping him was just to create confusion to snatch that key to the new world.
Really good chapter I still want to know what Law means by "what are you marines scheming". Was that in reference to more higher ups beside Vergo being involved with DD or past research he discovered on the island.
Ps: So if slave trafficking is out of fashion what's in is whatever Doflamingo's having Ceasar do on PH? Giants,Centaurs etc?Or he is building his troops and that key to the world is a lead he has to an ancient weapon?
Also, I don't think that Dofla had much to do with Moria's disappearance… I think he was genuinely trying to kill the guy.
If Dofla does have CoO, which I think he does, he should've noticed the invisible-what's-his-name-guy. If so, he kind of let Moria escape.
I'm more interested in what Smoker and Tashigi are going to do when they leave PH. There could be more moles, and what Akainu does might make the situation worse.
Is it strange that my voice for Vergo is the same as Idris Elba's from Luther?
Omg …...first thank you for planting this in my head.
Second I think I need to rewatch Series 2.
I'm gonna re read the chapters and listen to Massive Attack's Paradise Circus during Vergo's Introduction. Damn now Monet seems like Alice =P

Indeed
By the way, when I used google to look for one of my older posts, I stumbled upon a site that includes comments of AP forum members.

Kidd's Jolly Roger is somewhat similar too, but, it's a frown (or indifferent face) instead of a smile.
More than likely completely unrelated, but, yeah…

Hmm, this is a good point. Sure makes you wonder just what happened between those two!

Kidd is the guy who tries to do everything different because he thinks he's much more cool then everyone else. And he's wrong.
Oh shit oh shit… should've seen the Doflamingo thing coming. Congrats to whoever predicted that
Kidd is pretty darn cocky, maybe one of the cockiest characters in the series; which…I'm not a fan of cocky characters, especially evilish ones. Kidd hasn't even shown anything amazing yet. He's like...a gimped version of Magneto right now.

Interesting stuff, I've been discovering new blogs to read everywhere >.<
Really though, the question is: What happens when you feed a Fruit, to another Fruit?
You'd get a pineapple-like-fruit that can transform into a housecat or something.
On a more serious note, i wonder if its only possible to do this with Zoan-type fruits, since they provide the sentience to inanimate objects. It would be hilarious to have a toaster with the Gura Gura no mi, but I don't think it would actually be any different than a regular toaster.
I'm thinking inanimate objects can only "eat" Zoan DF. Would be insane though if they could "eat" Logia and Paramecia too. Instead of the wielder having a DF, the item he/she wields does. Like…imagine if Whitebeard didn't have a DF, but, his weapon did.

Not the first to notice this (and its not the only instances of smilies in OP), but it does beg the question, was Law working for DonFlamingo 2 years ago? If not, why does he have such a similar sign?

Probably they "can" but as they have no will to activate it would be useless, I doubt that anything other than the ones that change the user's body permanently (Gomu, Bara, (Alvida's)) would have any kind of effect.
