Anyone having trouble playing campaign mode? I've downloaded the campaign DLC on PSN yet each time I start up the game it says I need the latest campaign to play online….

I'm actually having trouble gettin' the Old Joseph Joestar DLC to work.
I downloaded the latest Campaign data too…but I assume it'll work with a later Campaign data pack. -

Spice Girl should be a shoe in, Doppio by himself, maybe hair girl and.. randoom mooks.

It seems they take lots of notes from Capcom's part 3 fighting game, then adding Mariah, Alessi and Chaka should be a no-brainer.
Tarkus and/or Brufford.
Alien guy.
Ghiaccio, Cioccolata, Pesci.
Soundman, Wekapipo w/o Magentax2.
Either part 8 motorcycle stand girl or part 4 motorcycle stand guy.

Love Deluxe, Spice Girl, Foo Fighters, Hot Pants are all noticeable exclusions. I guess if you can figure out how to do weather report and Abbachio they are also key missing characters.
Then i would go Oasis, Wekapipo and Speedwagon as well.
Another part 8 characters would be cool

If they implement Asists (as the game will use a tag team system) then speedwagon for sure having it like "hat slice" "homoerotic arm healing" and "Speedwagon serenely skedadles", if not, I'd rather if they didn't, there's not too much to build upon.
The support system kind of hypes me because you can have people with cool stands who can't make it to a full fighter, like Pearl Jam, Metalica, The Sun, anyone else from part 8 (Except the parfait and the beetle)

I doubt that this is a true sequel. Judging from the description, it sounds more like an arena fighter (Grand Battle, Power Stone) or like it could even be a musou-esque game.
So, I'd be surprised if the playable roster is ASB+New Ones. I mean I'd like it obviously, but I'd also like the game to be good. I found ASB nearly unplayable when I actually got my hands on it, it was just too slow and shallow. So if CC22 needs to cut down the roster in order to up the gameplay, I would accept that.

I can't say I really like what I see. Maybe more videos could change my mind, but that fighting system seems messy.
I'd rather have an ASB2. But if the roster is huge and the game mechanics end up being decent, I may be tempted to buy it if it's released in Europe. -

The same could be said about Hamon, but it is still being used against regular humans since Heritage for the Future.

UV's would give a strong sun burn, but regular humans can still be affected by hamon, like Caesar manipulating that woman when fighting Joseph or Joseph shoving an entire pidgeon into that woman while fighting Caesar.
But hey I ain't complainin if Nazi cyborg Stroheim is in the game

I actually like this concept better than the straight up fighting game ASB was. Granted I've never played a 3D fighting arena game and the footage makes the execution look a little clumsy, but this playstyle is much better suited to accommodate Jojo's diverse fighting styles. I think the arena shapes and sizes can better bring out the character of each stand and ability. Plus the team element is nice because some stands work better as or only as support.

Stroenheim can blow himself up and caesar can sacrifice himself to increase Joseph's powers. That is all i needed to see

Tag Battle seems like an odd choice for jojo, since I can't recall that many fights being team-based. Occasionally one antagonist will attack the entire party, but never a 2v2 format. Even when the enemy assassins of Part 5 traveled in pairs, they almost always isolated one and dealt with him, then fought the remaining one.
I'm a little afraid that with this much going on, there won't be much "strategy", and all the characters' unique power systems and trap-laying and comboing and everything will just turn into who can spam AoE attacks faster. Which is what happened to J-Stars Victory Vs, in a way. Yeah, I know Smash crams a ton onto the screen and still plays fine, but Smash restricts you to 2 dimensions, and even then sometimes just turns into a clusterfuck.
On the other hand, the game is far from out and we haven't even seen any unbroken gameplay yet, so it's obviously far too early to count it out. As usual, I really want this game to be good, because jojo deserves good vidya. I'm just not sure about what I see so far.

It's good to see Stroheim. I've only finished Part 2 of the Manga, but her's my favourite character so far.
I recently got All Star Battle and, tell me guys, are there really characters with like 30 moves, and characters with around 10? Or am I just playing wrong? -
To be frank, most of Jojo's characters aren't fit to a fighting game.

Luckily, there are so many characters that even a handful would be super duper
and yeah, like Wags I think that a 3D fighter might work better given JoJo's style of fighting than a 2D fighter, so I'm cautiously optimistic about this development
