One Pace is the paced version of the One Piece anime, packed together to match the manga more accurately. It involves cutting and merging the episodes together to create the best experience for the fans who are tired of the slow pace of One Piece.

Great job so far. More polished than the "condensed" project as far as I could tell. Hopefully this project lasts to cover all of the 1 chapter 1 episode paced arcs of the series.
I may be getting ahead of myself, but if One Pace catches up to the current arc before it's over, may I suggest going back to Water7/Enies Lobby and doing that arc up to Marineford and the Sabo flashback? That should cover almost all of the badly paced arcs pre-New World.

Yeah. We plan on catching up to the current arc pretty fast. We'll probably continue doing Punk Hazard episodes as well every 2 weeks (or however fast Toei adapts chapters).
In between the normal episode releases though, we'll work on older arcs. We haven't decided on a starting point yet, but it'll probably be either Water 7 or Skypiea, or maybe even the beginning of Alabasta that dragged on.

How do you plan on doing the Ace thing? Since he's supposed to leave after owning the Baroque Works fleet, but the anime makes him stay for a while longer, fusing canon scenes into their filler episodes. I guess you'll just have to overlook that since there isn't any way around it?

Yeah that particular detail seems pretty impossible, unless you wanna paint it over with some sort of brush just for the fun of it, that would ruin the episodes though ;P.

Yesterday we were watching the reunion and I can't believe it went that fluid, one piece is meant to be watched like this, quality improves A LOT!!
The only thing I missed was the Song New World by brook, I was saddened when I saw it cut off, I know it filler, but it was one of the few thing the anime did right

Yeah. About the New World Song. We debated whether or not to keep it in, but in the end decided to remove it to make it as close as possible to the manga. It was hard to get rid of it though.
Also, thanks for the positive comments guys. It keeps us motivated to keep doing them. We definitely plan on keeping the project going as long as Toei continues with their current pace.

In the episode 2: the cut from the marines staring at Rayleigh, to everyone running was really jarring stood out the most. As did one of the ones during the end, when it goes back and forth between the people helping the Straw Hats. I don't remember which, I watched them this morning, but it seemed kind of sudden.
Overall though, like I said, it was a great! I'm about to watch 3 and 4.
I, for one, am very glad you cut out Brook's horrendously awful song. I hated that so damn much (which probably stems from me hating everything about post timeskip Brook), so it being gone was a work of art.
Looking forward to the next ep!

Do you mean right after the We Go! song? That's how it was depicted in the manga, they were being chased by marines, who were shocked for a minute over Rayleigh's presence, but then realized they had no time to just stare.
Or maybe you mean after he cut the line in the ground and the music was faded out?

Well, "good filler" and "bad filler" is hard to define. In the end, it would lead to some people complaining that a certain filler scene was left in, and some people complaining that another was left in. It completely depends on the person.

Sometimes it's hard to know what "good" is, though, because of opinions and all. I think it's best to just go with accuracy most of the time, unless it is just a funny one liner or something (like Mr. 1's "I'm rusty" line against Mihawk in the war) of the like. Full blown filler scenes are best left out.

Our goal is to make the anime match the manga more accurately, so we probably won't leave in filler scenes unless it's really needed to not disrupt the flow of the episode. A "good" filler is relative and is not something we can decide.
Ah, I do see how subjective it is now that you guys point it out. But in whatever case, I do like the end product. Though I am a dub watcher, I've started to get into the subs when I actually watched these better paced episodes :v

The one after Rayleigh makes the line. It's definitely the awkward cutting of the music. That music is really going to be the most pain in the ass part of this. You have my sympathy; I wish you luck.

That said, you have to admit that it does seem a little strange cutting all of New World, despite how long Bone to be Wild went on (though that was also cut.)
Personally I'm fine with it the way it is. As much as I love the song, it does kill the pace. If I really want to see it, there are a billion versions on youtube.

Glad to here it. The goal of this project should be to follow the manga as closely as possible with extraneous bits and animation only included for the purpose of pacing scenes that were slightly rushed and hectic in the manga. Obviously, it's a subjective judgement call in some respects, but I think those disagreements are pretty minor light of the overall advantages of this project.
Nice to see more of the community doing this stuff. You guys should hook up with Dahaka, who was making the one piece condensed project. Always love seeing this kind of stuff.

Dahaka actually took in contact with me, but I haven't heard from him since I asked him to check through the edits of an episode, which was like 4 days ago.

Very interesting. Sky pea could also be re-done, it had an absurdly high ammount of filler crammed into it, and one of the worst fillers I can think of (some scenes that are 2-3 pages on the manga take near a full episode on the anime O_O).
This is by far one of the greatest things I've came across on the internet. Like everyone else i do hope for previous arcs as well. I can't thank you enough for these! Very well done. Thanks!
