Oh I thought it was weird that there was no Wano episode after the 3rd one, so you guys have stopped posting it on nyaa. Is there any RSS available to your personal tracker? It's for convenience since I always let my client download and seed available episodes automatically.

I know you guys have been letting some of the filler slide in Wano, but I'm hoping when you guys get to Luffy VS Kaido you cut all that fluff and get right to the goods. That whole fight should be 30 seconds to 4 minutes long max haha

I'm not sure why this happened, I think I followed the same process identically that I usually do. We'll just have to see if Wano 8 looks any better.
@j20 I'll decide how best to release the episodes when they are ready, the last month or so has been fairly busy for me. Hopefully next month will be better.

It might be possible to give the fight ending a Zoro vs Mr 1 style makeover, with a quick clip of Kaido swinging his club, then a one second pan away while he says the attack name, followed by Luffy laying on the ground.

Creative but Im not a big fan of that idea. If you check out the recent stream I did, you can see me fiddling with the scene a bit tho.

For fun I wanted to throw the episodes into Final Cut and edit them myself, (I work in the film industry) but all I could find are .mkv files and they're a pain to convert.

Oh cool to see this still ongoing. Stopped watching the anime back in marinford not sure when but somewhere around that I also remember this here starting up(might be slightly off). Thing is when I stopped I thought the base material was so bad even better pacing could not make me like it. But people have been sharing pretty sweet wano scenes and it seems the quality has come up significantly again since those days. Long story short I watched the Kaidou vs Luffy episode and …. I wasn't a fan of the pacing also what's up with the aura stuff urgh. Whatever going to give the recuts here a try given that the base material seems like pretty nice to look at.

As soon as Wano started they changed/improved the animation quality but the pacing is still terrible because this is a weekly year-long television show based on a weekly year-long comic that skips a week every 3 weeks.
If it wasn't a forever TV show and had seasons with breaks the animation quality and pacing would be way better.

While that might be true, it would make less money for Toei. You can argue that making fewer episodes with polish might result in a superior product at a lower cost, but there is little economic reason to do it. Generally, you want to improve quality in order to increase viewerships, but One Piece already has such great viewerships that it has little room to grow. Then there is the potential loss of revenue; a large percentage of the viewers have no standards and will tune in every week, no matter how low the quality gets. It's for this reason that episodes of the series will receive more views than most seasonal shows.
So, you can hardly blame Toei the for-profit company. Instead, I would say that the audience with no standards is responsible for allowing them to get away with it.

I dont know if this is true. Its seems to be japanse stubbornness to change. The ratings are half of what they used to be. Giving people a break and making the show not crap might really help ratings. The money isnt in the show anyway, its in manga, merchandise, games, movies etc The show is just an advert, probably best to have a good advert, not one that makes me want to slap people at toei (or the people that control them). Does oda not care about the anime? He must how the power to make it not shit

Toei rejected many of Toriyama's ideas for Dragon Ball Super, hence I don't think Oda has any creative control over it.

One piece anime has really helped to cheer me up during really tough times in my life as I grew up watching it. Something about it always cheered me up and brought light to my day. It was something I always looked forward to no matter how tough my life got.
But the anime after sometime had pacing issues which i couldn’t enjoy. And I came across your website few years ago and it made my year. I check your website almost everyday and I could not thank you enough for it. I’ve been going through major changes in my personal life and One Pace was one of the main things that helped me through it. I’ve truly enjoyed your work and I can’t express my joy every time I see a new episode is out.
I know this is a volunteer work and just wanted to appreciate all your hard work I’ll always be grateful and hope to see more.

I don't remember seeing an interview like that. Could you link?
I remember stuff about Beerus being more evil being suggested by Tadayoshi Yamamuro, the then anime character designer, as well as him wanting SSG to have a cape. However, Toriyama declined that. For the running of the Super anime, I distinictly remember the producer saying that Toriyama's was basically the word of god, and that they got his approval for basically everything they did.
Thats not to say he wrote the entirety of Super, just that he ticked off what the anime recommended. That's also not to say he didn't listen to the anime staff(for example, future Trunks or female Broly weren't initially his idea's either, its just that he ticked them off).

I would like to know how many chapters each episode will cover. According to the discord announcements page, they are currently working on Wano 8-11. Hopefully this means 818-824/825 will be included.

Yeah, the Overview page has been broken for months now it seems. A pity, that's how I keep track of progress every few months! Hard to know what's been Paced and what still needs to be watched in its original anime form at the moment.

Just watched my first whole episode of One Pace. I’m starting from the beginning of Wano. Man, these guys are good editors. No wonder it takes them so long to put out episodes. There was literally like one moment I could tell they cut into in the whole thirty minute episode. They really do a good job polishing their cuts.
Seems like they’re behind about six of their episodes. That’s a good bit to catch up. Hopefully it gets moving again by time I watch the seven out so far.
I really, really wish they did this for the dub. One guy did this on reddit for the dub, but his edits were very sloppy. Still appreciated and worth watching, but nowhere near the work One Pace does.

They put out a few episodes with dual audio but abandoned that idea because the dub actually has quite a few timing differences especially with off-screen dialogue.
Dub-only is actually far easier to edit, but too many people prefer the sub, not to mention the dub is 400 episodes behind.

I’d have to find a way to remove subtitles and figure out how to sync and cut audio from a second source. Way too much time and effort for me.
